Woody Posted February 19, 2010 Posted February 19, 2010 We were born with skin and it is with skin we die. Good point Nan. But I will skip the alternative. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Some seem to have a fetish about women in general. There's nothing modest about a dress where the neckline is cut clear down to the belly button...but some of the men on the forum here simply drool over stuff like that. Unless, Woody, you are a closet nudist. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. mikeyswen79 Posted February 21, 2010 Author Posted February 21, 2010 Most women dress for men. Men like miniskirts on women; men like bikinis on women; men like to see a lot of skin on women. Just take a look at the pictures being posted on this forum. You'll find lots of women's skin and the ones who comment on the photos are men. Men don't like modesty on women...that's the conclusion I've come to here. I wouldn't worry about the hair clips. I doubt any are 24 K gold. I would completely agree with that except that the reasons men like all of that is not Christ-like at all (lust of the eyes). I didn't mean to make a huge deal out of the hair clips other than to say that it seems contrasting that people would wear flashy things, such as elaborate/expensive hair clips (it could be any accessory or clothing) and then are quick to condemn a necklace/bracelet/ring. It just seems unusually selective. Quote

Maybe taking a dip in Lake Michigan in the nude right now would be beneficial for what ails you. You'd get a lot of coverage by the press, I bet. LOL By the way, God *did* create skin. But He also made clothing for Adam and Eve to cover up their nakedness. So apparently He had the idea in His mind that showing a lot of skin was not appropriate. I doubt He made Eve a bikini. Here's an example: there are a lot of people who will wear an expensive gold/silver Rolex watch, and nobody will say a word. My mom had a diamond ring that her father had given to her. She had it made into a diamond tie tack for my father. He wore it a lot, and it looked very nice. But when he became an Adventist, I never saw him wear it again. I thought that was sad. I think he was afraid people would gossip about it. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. Administrators Gail Posted February 21, 2010 Administrators Posted February 21, 2010 RUDYWOOFS THE bible said that Adam and Eve made aprons to cover them selfs while GOD covered them with coats Coats cover more than aprons do Good observation, dg! Did they get fur coats or leather outfits? In either case, Adam and Eve's clothing came at a price. Death was now a reality for them. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Well from the photographs I've seen of the occasion in question ... Eve DID have a good bit of skin showin'. :) Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Woody Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Well then dgrimm. I think we should fire those artists. A photo would have been much better so that we could know for sure. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
