The Doctrines of Babylon...

Recommended Posts

Posted

Many people do not realise that there is only one church in the whole world that has not adopted one Babylonian Doctrine.

One church alone.

Every other church has imbibed one or another of the myriad Babylonian teachings.

What is a Babylonian Doctrine?

It is a doctrine that is Anti-Christian in source and purpose.

It is a doctrine that cannot be supported Biblically.

----------------

Where do they come from?

In Daniel 2, there is the statue that describes the captivity of Gods People.

Gods People since the time of the Babylonian Captivity have been ruled by the pagan powers of the world.

First it was Babylon.

Then Medo-Persia.

Then Greece.

Then Pagan Rome.

Then Papal Rome.

At all times throughout the history of Gods people, satan has tried to infiltrate his lies into the beliefs of Gods people.

He tried to force worship of idolatry in Babylon.

He tried to legislate paganism through Medo-Persia.

He tried to use "reason" through "philosophy" and "false science" to overcome the church with Greece.

He tried to command total obedience on pain of death with Pagan Rome.

He attempted to do all of these things at the same time with Papal Rome.

With that in mind, we can start to explore some of the pagan teachings that have tried to come into the church of God, with considerable success throughout the ages.

1. State of the dead.

2. Denial of the Sabbath.

3. Setting up of a false sabbath.

4. Idolatry.

5. Spirit worship.

6. Witchcraft.

7. Science falsely so called (evolutionary theory).

8. Poor dietary practices.

9. Denial of the supremacy of scripture.

10. Denial of God Himself (athiesm).

11. Please add to the list.

All of these he has managed to a lesser or greater degree, to get God's people to accept throughout the history of Gods people.

Causing mass apostasy.

But in the end times, a church that is pure from all of these lies, was prophesied in the Bible.

That church is the SDA church.

Think of all the churches in the world, that have adopted one or another of the above teachings.

When you eliminate them all, only one church is left standing.

The SDA church.

We are here, because we have not accepted the teachings of Babylon.

There are many who want us to accept them and attempt to work from within the church, you will identify them because they will call us "fanatics", "legalists", "unloving", "undecuted" and plain old "ignorant" amongst other things.

But each of these is another attempt of satan, through his witting and unwitting agents, to get his teachings in the door of the church.

But this church will not fall.

It will not succumb to Babylon.

It will go right through till the end.

Why?

Because it continues to fend of the advances of paganism as a body. Yes some have given out already, but the church stands.

Because God has said it will stand, in fact, it will end up bringing about the downfall of Babylon through the loud cry.

Over to you...

Only one church can worship in "Spirit and in Truth".

Only one church can have the "indwelling of the Holy Spirit" and "correct doctrine".

And when this church enters into both.

Nothing on this planet will be able to stop it.

This is why we must maintain our pure doctrine.

But this is also why we must study and learn to understand what it is to have the "indwelling" of the Holy Spirit.

And how to be led by the Spirit.

God wants us to worship in:

Spirit!

and in

Truth!

And satan wants to stop this through Babylonian teachings.

Another point.

The Roman Church has managed to infiltrate many of its pagan doctrines into its daughters, the fallen protestant churches.

But not one pagan doctrine has gained a foothold in the only true Protestant and Apostolic Church that is left on this earth.

The Seventh Day Adventist Church.

But what is really important here, is that the pagan doctrines have been inserted into the churches through the direct activity of the Roman Catholic Church.

All except one.

And she strives to capture that one at every opportunity as well...

So when we call God's people out of "Babylon".

We are calling those out that worship in "Spirit", but not yet "In Truth".

And we are to call them out.

Plainly.

They are to come out and leave behind every pagan teaching that has been planted in them through the pagan teachings of the RCC.

The "Fallen, fallen" Babylon is what or who? Did it fall twice?

Babylon is paganism that has Gods people in its grasp.

It has held sway through the rulership of earthly kingdoms over Gods people.

But in the last days, they are to come out of all Babylonian doctrinal error.

Babylon can also be discerned because it does not worry "how many" gods are in its pantheon.

As long as it is not the One God.

Isn't 'Babylon' the 'Great City'? (See Rev. 17:9, 18 and 18:16,18,19, and 21. Please note what the 'Great City' is in Rev. 11:8. It is the same city where Jesus was killed. Therefore it is Jerusalem.

But notice it is talking in symbolic, or spiritual, terms, not in literal terms. It's true Jesus was killed in literal Jeruslem but the language of the text indicates clearly that he's not talking about literal Jerusalem.

It says that the city it speaks of is spiritually like Sodom and Egypt where Christ was crucified. So the crucifixion it's speaking of is also spiritual or symbolic, not literal.

The entire passage is symbolic. It is not even a literal city. Babylon itself is not a literal city in the sense that the Apocalypse means it.

John 3:16-17

Yes, I believe Daniel 12: 10 is being fulfilled today. Now is the time of special purification among God's people just before Christ returns. I'm sure that we're living a relatively short time before the Second Coming. This time is understood by Seventh-day Adventists as the Investigative Judgment, or pre-Advent Judgment.

The Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The original SDA doctrine states:

"That the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, were given by inspiration of God, contain a full revelation of his will to man, and are the only infallible rule of faith and practice."

The current doctrine of the present corporate or world SDA church in 1980 in Dallas, Texas voted to leave out the phrase "the only infallible rule of faith and practice."

Believing that there are other infallible rules of faith and practice besides the "Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments" is a characteristic of Babylon.

Here is a doctrine to consider:

Global Corporate Capitalism - an economic system that creates injustice. It is integral to a monetary system based on usury. Will the mark of the beast be enforced through an economic and monetary system? What was the organizational structure of the church in Acts?

Interesting articles Anderoo. Also thought it is interesting that one of the links starts out with the word "Jubilee".

I copied this from the the SDAC website stating our fundamental beliefs:

1. Holy Scriptures:

The Holy Scriptures, Old and New Testaments, are the written Word of God, given by divine inspiration through holy men of God who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. In this Word, God has committed to man the knowledge necessary for salvation. The Holy Scriptures are the infallible revelation of His will. They are the standard of character, the test of experience, the authoritative revealer of doctrines, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history. (2 Peter 1:20, 21; 2 Tim. 3:16, 17; Ps. 119:105; Prov. 30:5, 6; Isa. 8:20; John 17:17; 1 Thess. 2:13; Heb. 4:12.)

Dan 12:10 is most assuredly true. And it does apply to you. But not in the way that you think it does.

The SDA church doesn't believe Ellen White was/is "infallible." We believe she is a continuing authoritative guide but not infallible. It seems to me that the Bible is the only infallible measuring stick of doctrine and faith as far as the SDA church is concerned.

What are your thoughts?

________________________________

Twilight, there were those in the days of Christ who taught that the Jewish organization (they were Seventh-day Adventists) would always be exalted as the church of God. They too believed and taught that this was the only church or people who were free from pagan teachings etc etc

Yet Jesus said that they had become the slaves of sin and the representatives of Satan. (See D.A.36)

We have been told so many times that we were repeating their history to the very letter. Over the years, the Lord has sent testimony after testimony to the effect that this church was following in the track of Romanism. (See T.M.363) Another testimony said that "a blacksliding church always narrows its distance between itself and the papacy."

Would that not explain why the Lord said that as a church we had less to say about the papal power? (See T.M.112)

Let me ask you a question, Do we not in this church make a distinction between the "clergy" and the "laity" and is that not of the "clerical" spirit which is the spirit of domination, which is the papal spirit?

"The spirit of domination is extending to the presidents of our conferences." Testinomines to Ministers, p.362.

In the Review and Herald of the year 1903 officials of the General Conference published an article claiming that the system of organization adopted by the Seventh-day Adventist church was the Mosaic Order, the very order that was adopted in the second century and which led to 1260 years of papal dominance!

In the seasons of the night, the Lord gave Mrs. White a dream in which she could see the leaders of the church walking two and two toward the building she was in at Battle Creek. She was about to open the door to let them in when she decided to look again. "The scene was changed. The company now presented the appearance of a Catholic procession. One bore in his hand a cross, another a reed. And as they approached, the one carrying a reed made a circle around the house, saying three times: 'This house is proscribed! The goods must be confiscated. They have spoken against our holy order.'" See Testimonies, Vol.1, p.578.

Years later A.T. Jones was accused of having spoken against their "holy order" while he was teaching the third angel's message. So he was tried, judged, and sentenced, 4,000 miles away without him being given one single chance to be heard!

This is only one example of the "high-handed power" that had been developing in the professed church of Christ. Mrs. White said, "This high-handed power that has been developed makes me afraid and ought to cause fear." Testimonies to Ministers, p.361

Later the Lord sent a testimony saying that if this order of things was allowed to continue, their faith would soon become extinct. This "kingly power" or "high-handed power" has been allowed to continue until this our day. "The self-confident management of men has resulted in putting God aside and accepting the devising of men. If you allow this to continue your faith will soon become extinct." T.M.481.

That being the case, how could we ever claim to be the only church that has not succumbed to the sophistries of the enemy especially when the Lord has told us that we had put Him aside! The Lord sent a warning saying, "Organizations, institutions, unless kept by the power of God will work under Satan's dictation to bring men under the control of men; and fraud and guile will bear the semblance of zeal for truth and for the advancement of the kingdom of God. Whatever in our practice is not as open as day belongs to the methods of the prince of evil. His methods are practiced even among Seventh-day Adventists, who claim to have advanced truth." Testimonies to Ministers, p.366.

This apostasy, we are warned, is to wax stronger and stronger until Jesus comes in the clouds of Heaven.

So let us remember that within the Jewish organization there was what the Spirit of the Lord calls a "little church" led by Christ. So it is today. God still has a "little church," faithful few who will not allow this "clerical spirit" or the "spirit of domination" to rule over them for they have the word of their Commander, "It shall not be so among you." Matt.20:25.

What say you? :)

I'm ready to bring charge against SDA church of 2 offences, though in a court, though in any public meeting from any amount man.

1. Admission of double view of human nature of Christ, officially accepted in Palmdale in 1976. It is impermissible and it destroys foundation of church and is an apostasy.

2. One of numerous secret SDA teachings, preached from many pulpits, is that God can not do sinfree creature from a man in short time. This point of view claims that indefinite time is needed for this purpose, and that this creation is impossible up to the parousia of Christ, and that we always "will aim and aim, but never will not attain". Such position is fully hostile to The three angels' message, is belittling and denial of power of Creator.

Note: dynamic entrance into Christ and exit from Him, as from figurative Temple, is possible for the man, and does not state that this man was unrighteous, if he just went out, or that he was righteous, if just entered. All necessary explanations and differences of my position from perfectionism I am also ready to give with references to Bible and Е. White.

It is interesting that the references to support the mistaken belief that the old and new testament is all inspired by God are from verses that only support the "Law and the Prophets"--and that was it. There was no such thing as a "new testament" when all of these reference texts were written.

What the leaders of the SDA church have done is place themselves at a much higher level of judgment than God Himself. Why? Because if just ONE word of the bible was NOT inspired by God, then they have called God a liar--by falsly testifying about what God did not do. Think about this for a few minutes and let it soak in.

A sincere welcome to the Forum, Leagnus. Hope you come here often and make lots of friends.

Could you perhaps tell us a little about yourself and then tell us more about your views on this topic?

I would like to welcome you also. Vadim & Julie Dementyev are Ukrainian-Russian friends of mine. They were from Odessa. He is currently pastor of the Sun City Church in California.

Could you please expand on what you said? i.e.:

1. Admission of double view of human nature of Christ, officially accepted in Palmdale in 1976. It is impermissible and it destroys foundation of church and is an apostasy.

What is this double view that you are talking about?

2. One of numerous secret SDA teachings, preached from many pulpits, is that God can not do sinfree creature from a man in short time. Numerous secret teachings? Such as? I've been a SDA a long time. I don't seem to be aware of these secret teachings.

Are you saying in #2 that we can be absolutely sinless here and now before Jesus comes?
