I haven't read about the Illuminati on the Internet, so I can only imagine the kinds of things being written about it. Those things probably do include a lot of false rumors and even just plain silliness and foolishness.

But I hope that before anyone makes up their mind on this topic, they read a book called The Illuminati 666, compiled by William Josiah Sutton. It may be obtained or ordered at the ABC, the SDA Book and Bible stores. Roy Allan Anderson wrote the Introduction Sutton's book.

Not too sure they equate in influence but Walter Veight has a considerable amount to say about the free masons. Does anyone know if the illuminati is also a focus of his attention. His vast store of knowledge might add a lot of light to a dark subject. The global world government is not far off and some are destined to use the channels of power to bring to pass their misguided efforts.

Too bad they don't just read the Bible to find the One Who does know the end from the beginning.

My grandfather was a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was a very nice person who anonymously helped many during the Depression, aside from taking care of his 11 children. Evil, that.

I've and read about the Illuminati stuff many years ago. They are also said to have killed Kennedy, etc. At one point LBJ was said to have been one! I remember receiving some kind of letter or something like that, with a list of who was on there roster. Have never been sure how true all of it is, but I will say there is a lot that makes sense and some that does not.

Well, I don't know about rumours tying "this" person to "that" organization...

But the thing that bothered Ellen White about Freemasonry was the practice of one person addressing another human as "Worshipful Master". How did she know this was happening, when women were not allowed to be members? Good question! God told her not only that but also moved her to perform secret hand signals while speaking to someone she knew who was a Mason. It freaked him out.

Many of the secret rites of the organization have been disclosed publicly now, thanks to modern technology. If you look far enough you will find books for sale that will give information about it. You can read them for yourself. I have read some. I find Dr. Veith's material a little extreme for my own tastes, but there are other sources.

And yes, as Pam mentioned, these groups do lots of good things for children and hospitals and people in general.

The whole Illuminati thing is great novel material. Poor reality material. Anyone who thinks that such a massive conspiracy (enveloping everything from music to food to the economy) could be orchestrated for hundreds (thousands?) of years without being quickly uncovered obviously does not know very many humans.

I do not find members of the fallen race, as individuals or in organizations, successfully carrying out conspiracies that do more than murder and mayhem to large segments of society, whether known or unknown. However I do recall a large segment of the heavenly host were taken in by a conspiracy in which the only escape from the same conspiracy would be to place one's self in the hands of the King of kings while there is time to take advantage of His patience.

That is just it, it has been uncovered. Sometimes the best way to hide something is to put it out in plain sight. The main conspirator is Lucifer himself. But the Illuminati per se has not been around for thousands of years, although its roots go back to the rebellion against Christ in heaven.

There are many who deny that the antichrist, or little horn power, is the papal system because they are so used to the pope. They object with words such as, "But the pope has been around in plain sight for almost 2000 years! We watch every move he makes, and beside he's in the Christian church. So many in the world admire him. He does many wonderful things. It can't be him." Without realizing it, they just listed two of the marks of identification of the little horn power.

From my experience, i believe a proper definition for the illuminati is "a global non gouvernmental organisation consisting of individuals cooperating with demonic agencies to attain fortuna and are willingly or unwillingly fullfilling the satanic agenda by spreading his principles of lawlessness to gain global authority on all social, political and economic levels"

That this movement is real and not science fiction is just as obvious to me that the earth is round due to my occult experiences.

Yes definitely true. For example Oprah truly believes New Age doctrines are true and bible doctrines are false. In that sense, according to my definition i just gave, she is also part of the illuminati. Just like Jay z who promotes lawlessness etc. etc. Now Jay z probably knows who his master is, but i believe that Oprah is sincere.

From what I read here .... this topic is merely a speculation.

1) People speculating on existence of the cabal

2) People speculating on #1 being bogus.

The truth of the matter is... as you sit in from of your computer/tv ... is that outside of yourself you dont really know what's happening in the world but through the available channels of information. If those channels are filtered/altered/modified as these surely are today, then you get an incomplete version of reality/history/society/yourself.

On the other hand I always find it amazing how people can read "Great Controversy" in which we have a seemingly secret cabal of angels controlling and subverting the events on earth...

And the the same exact people will say "I don't really believe in conspiracy theories. They just seem too far out".

There have been people subject to "demonic agencies" since Adam and Eve. Satan's agenda is not out in the open for scrutinizing. There is no illuminati organization. It is not real. Satan and his minions are real, and they are very subtle. And that is just as obvious to me given *my* occultic background, which, I believe, is somewhat more extensive than yours.

But people (the *illuminati*) do NOT have a plan to gain the takeover of global authority on all social, political and economical levels. Satan is more subtle than that. Some of Satan's principles are entirely within the law. It is God Who is control. Be on the alert, but, for heaven's sake, don't sound the alarm, lest people begin to think it's "crying wolf" once again.

I don't like this wringing of hands business about Satan and the "illuminati." Satan would love for you to think that's the case about him. He's probably laughing all the way to the pumpkin patch right now.

I don't know about the Illuminati, but I've just finished the Great Controversy and the feeling I got was that the danger to watch for is the one where Protestantism joins the Catholic church and contains spiritualism. When this happens then the next thing to watch for is lessening of personal freedoms and the tying together of church and state.

I'm not attempting to discredit the book. I'm simply addressing the issue where people on this forum have no problem with believing its contents... which are highly "conspiracy theory" in nature, and yet when someone on the forum pushes the theory of secret cabal of men directing global events (supposedly under Satanic control)... people on this forum whip out the "Twilight zone music".

Great controversy... Satan secretly controlling human religious agencies for his purpose.... TOTALLY FINE.

YET ... Satan controlling Illuminati, Free-masonry, Builderberg... these are Twilight Zone conspiracy theories

See any problem with such ideology?
