As I have said on other threads, I became SDA in 1974. I was interested in prophecy, but knew nothing at all of "Seventh-day Adventists." I attended the six-week prophecy seminar conducted by Pastor Ken Cox in Knoxville, TN. I had never seen such exposition of the Bible. I was positively impressed and spiritually excited by the truths that were being shared. There were so many interpretations of Scripture learned during the seminar that rung true in my mind. One of the few questions that were NEVER satisfied was the one I presented on this thread. I could not find a pastor (or anyone, for that matter) who gave an answer which "rung true" in my mind. Being a student of the Word, I was bothered by not having the answer. Looking back, I can see how my assumption was that others might be similarly zealous to know the answer. Perhaps I erred in that conclusion. I am thankful for those of you who tried to provide satisfactory explanations. Really, there were some well-thought contributions. The answer that satisfied me in this thread was the one offered from Scion. That development "rung true" in mind. It was as if "the messenger from God" had been sent to testify of the truth. Being oblique and indirect is part of the game. pastorchick is like a fisherman who slowly reals in his prey once he has them hooked. pastorchick wants to make sure the hook he has baited is solidly entrenched in you! Then he will reel you in! He claims to be a prophet after the Ellen White model. However, I don't think Ellen White acted like pastorchick is doing on this thread!
