miz3 Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Jesus' words: John 12:31: "Now judgment is upon this world, now the ruler of this world shall be cast out." It would be silly to pray for the ruler of this world as that is Satan! Paul's words: "...for rulers are servants of god..." (Rom 13) Yep, Paul was right--in that the rulers are the servants for Paul's god--the same god that gave Paul a demon. Oh, come on Dr. Rich, even you can see how silly you must look and be. Paul in citing the "rulers" (plural) is referring to the human authorities. Of course we should pray for them to do God's will and to not be the puppets of satan and his demons. Paul is correct in this. Paul is not saying for us to pray to satan. Even a grade school person (in today's minimum educational condition)(in California) can see this. Paul is also correct that these human rulers are the servants of God (whether they be good servants or bad servants). Even Christ's parables when He cited Himself as Landowner, or the King, etc. who had a vineyard filled with bad servants made the same comparison as Paul. God will indeed judge these "servants" or "rulers". Paul never ever asks us to pray for satan or for demons. Are you sure you are a lawyer? For a lawyer you are mighty careless with evidence! John 12:31 only states that satan is the ruler of all that is evil. The "world" in the context of the Gospels is against "Heaven". It is a Spiritual comparison not a physical comparison. Like musicman1228 you are taking Spiritual Concepts and applying physical concepts to them. Jesus Christ never ever did what you are doing. Jesus Christ understood the Spiritual Concepts of the Kingdom of Heaven and you have trivialized God's Kingdom by attributing physical outcomes to it. The Disciples did the same thing before the Cross. I am amazed that you would in the direct face of their experience repeat their wrong behavior and attitude toward the Kingdom of Heaven. Read what I wrote to musicman1228 on this. Quote
Dr. Rich Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Huh? Yes, I will admit that I am an idiot, but one who takes the words of Jesus very serious! "Again Satan took Him to a very high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory; and Satan said to Him, 'all these things will I give You, if You fall down and worship me,'". (See Matt. 3:8-9) So how could Satan given these kingdoms to Jesus if Satan did not rule over them? Huh? Quote

Your eyewitnesses quote Jesus Christ as saying satan "is a liar and has been a liar from the beginning". How then can you Dr. Rich believe what satan said when he offered the kingdoms because satan is a liar. Satan flat out lied to Jesus Christ! Again, come on Dr. Rich listen to your own eyewitnesses and what they say about satan! Quote

How dare you tell me how I am interpreting something when you are obviously oblivious to what I and others are really saying. I never said the Kingdom of Heaven is nonexistent. What I did was to point out that Jesus said His Kingdom was not of this world. His Kingdom lives IN the world but is not OF the world. That is all I did and you carried it to an extreme because you can't stand the thought that someone should have a different view of truth than you. What blind hubris; You don't even know how much you don't know. Satan IS the RULER of this world, and this is recognized by the King of the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus knows who His enemy is and that is Satan. If you say the Jesus is the King of this world then you are saying that He is the King of the kingdoms of this world, but that would make Him evil. Are you calling Jesus Christ the Son of God evil? You take 4 texts that show exactly who Satan is and you still persist in not believing what those texts say. And the capstone of this folly is that it was Jesus that spoke those texts. I have had it with your inanities and obfuscations, and your obvious distain for how other people view the truth. You are arrogant and rude, and after all of this you call yourself a Christian. Well maybe that's how Christians behave these days since they are covered by the blood of Christ, saved by grace through faith, and don't have to worry about being obedient to the commandments of God anymore. This sounds like you are a follower of someone other than Jesus. Oh, yeah; you are a follower of Paul, aren't you. Well that makes sense since he invented boasting for Christ, except in your case it turned out to be boasting for yourself. Quote

Notice I quoted your whole statement so that everyone can see your context. That is a courtesy you did not give me! 2. I am and others are also seeing clearly what you are saying. You're mad because not only do I know what your saying but I clearly debunked your unScriptural and unBiblical assertions. I debunked your notions by asserting the Truth about the Scripture and also by quoting Scripture especially the Scripture that you call Eyewitnesses. I can see you getting mad when your own weapon (Bible Sword) is used effectively against you. 3. I showed how the King is greater than the prince! I cited the Bible stating that Satan was and is always a liar! I cited the Bible showing you God's own Words how He is the Ruler of Everything. You cannot do better than that to debunk your assertions. Your cries of foul are just sour grapes. Obviously! 4. Then you complain about me by using terms that more rightly and correctly fit your profile and tactics. You are indeed the arrogant one because I don't fall for your sloppy work of Bible Study. I never ever boasted about myself. You make a baseless charge. Yes, I do boast about God and Jesus Christ! I will never ever recant that charge! I wear such charges as a badge of honor! I never claimed to be Christian. That does not mean that I am not one. I am a follower of God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and the Word of God (Bible). I do not follow any humans and I do not seek anyone to follow me. I want other humans to follow God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God (Bible). Unfortunately, I have noticed that on this website most people follow something other than what I follow. They follow other web users who they think are powerful communicators, they follow SDA theologians, they follow SDA Church Leaders, they follow other theologians and other philosophies, they follow ancient humans who held certain views of the Bible, they follow Ellen White, etc. I don't mean they just believe in these entities. The follow these entities as if these entities were God, Himself. In other words they follow everything else and either do not follow God at all or only give minor lip service to Him, to Jesus Christ, to the Holy Spirit, and to the Bible. I judge this by the outward behavior only. That is I judge the "fruit" as the Bible says to do. Only God judges the heart. I do not know who is saved or who is lost. That is not my job. I know I will take heat for what I just said but I will never ever retract one word. I will say more along this vein, I see on this website more Ellen White quotes than I see quotes from the Bible. I see participants who know what Ellen White said but know precious little of what God says in the Bible. I see also those who know what some human in some book or website says but know precious little what God says in His Word. I see participants mixing and mingling the opinions of humans with the clear Word of God. I see participants using the words and writings of humans to explain what the Word of God means. Non SDA may get some slack in this regard, but SDA should do better when they assert that they are a "Bible and Bible only" people! What frustrates so many is when I cite the clear unambiguous Word of God which runs counter to the myths that so many hold. I realize that like Jesus Christ in His day doing this frustrates those who do not adhere carefully to God, Jesus Christ and Their Word (Bible). Quote
miz3 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 musicman1228 here is my whole statement in which you picked out only on measly part. 1. Three of four texts you cited state that "satan is the 'prince' of this world". Now everyone knows that a prince is less than the King! God is King and has always been King as I pointed out to you in Isaiah chapter forty and Daniel chapter 4. Although the prince may claim and exercise some power the prince can only do that which the King allows! I thought you were more educated than you are demonstrating. In addition you must learn to not take specific phrases and build your whole theology on them especially when you take such phrases outside the context of the whole Word of God (Scripture, Bible). Thus, satan is the prince and God has always been the King! 2. The fourth text you cited stated the Words of Jesus Christ in which He stated that "His Kingdom is not of this World". Apparently you do not understand this Scripture or you would not have used in the way you did. God's Kingdom is not like the kingdoms of this world which depend on horses, chariots, legions, cannons, bows and arrows, machine guns, tanks, armies, missiles, gold, silver, armies, etc. God's Kingdom is much greater and more comprehensive than such fading things. God's Kingdom is a SPIRITUAL KINGDOM! As such this Kingdom has always existed and will always exist! In this particular passage Jesus Christ is NOT SAYING THAT HIS KINGDOM IS NONEXISTENT which is the way you are interpreting it. Jesus Christ is saying that the parameters of Victory and His Methods of Victory for His Kingdom which has always existed are different than the parameters and methods of earthly kingdoms. Jesus Christ said this because Pilot did not understand how Jesus could be a King and had what appeared to be no support. Like Pilot you are making the very same mistake which is why you do not understand any of the four texts you cited. This is because you take an "isolated phrase" and blow it up into a complete theory which such a phrase was never ever intended by God to be done. Thus, your ignorance of Scripture and what it says grows exponentially as well. Quote

I cited the Bible showing you God's own Words how He is the Ruler of Everything. You cannot do better than that to debunk your assertions. Your cries of foul are just sour grapes. Obviously! Is there a ruler on the side of evil in this world that is higher than Satan? No. Therefore Satan is the ruler of this world just a Jesus said he was. Jesus is NOT and never has been (and never will be) the ruler of the kingdom of the world, and He did not, does not, and will not control anything that has to do with Satan's kingdom. Yes, God is he ruler of everything that is under His control. Adam gave away God's authority to rule the whole world to Satan when He disobeyed God in the Garden. That is why Jesus had to come to earth to pay that penalty, otherwise the world would remain under the control of Satan. If God controls everything and everyone in the whole world then Jesus would not have had to come and die. Quote

ONLY GOD DOES THOSE THINGS! Quote

"Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”" Matthew 19:26, I believe that means God can do ANYTHING, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME, IT PLEASES HIM! miz3 Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 musicman1228, here is another eyewitness! "Jesus said, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind.”" John 9:39. Jesus said that He came for "judgment". Only One who rules can actually be a Judge. If satan ruled satan would never let Jesus Christ judge him or his kingdom. However since this world and everything in it does not belong to satan but belongs to God (the Vineyard Principle evident in Christ's parables) then Jesus Christ can come as a Judge! Here again is another evidence that states God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit rule even here on this earth and everything in the earth! Does you eyewitness make your stubbed Bible toe ache a little more? Quote

This means that God can do anything, anywhere, anytime for anyone that is in His Kingdom, who have given their lives to Him. God would never abuse His power and do anything, anywhere, anytime to anyone who would resent the intrusion in there lives. There are many that do not believe in God, or even that there IS a God; it would be unlawful for God to override their will by invoking His own will in their lives. This is something only Satan would do if he had the power to do it. I do feel sorry for you because when Satan is released from the Abyss (Rev. 9) and exercises his power over his kingdom of the world during the last 5 months before the 7th Trumpet sounds those that believe as do you that God is in control of everything will believe that this being of light is God. God would never abuse His power and do anything, anywhere, anytime to anyone who would resent the intrusion in there lives. Here is a text that again shows you are wrong. I BELIEVE PHARAOH RESENTS THIS INTRUSION! Hmmm! "Then the LORD said to Moses, “Get up early in the morning, confront Pharaoh and say to him, ‘This is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: Let my people go, so that they may worship me, 14 or this time I will send the full force of my plagues against you and against your officials and your people, so you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth. 15 For by now I could have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people with a plague that would have wiped you off the earth. 16 But I have raised you up[a] for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth." Exodus 9:13-16. Look very carefully at God's specific Words! 1. God is going to send the "full force of MY PLAGUES! Not someone else's plagues but God's plagues. 2. Why send God's plagues? "so you may know that there is no one like me(God)"! 3. Where? "in all the earth". God does not say "like me" in only the parts I control. NO! NO! NO! God states in ALL THE EARTH! 4. God also states in verse fifteen that He could have by that moment have wiped Pharaoh and all Egypt off the face of the earth. Really? Really? I thought Pharaoh and Egypt were part of satan's kingdom? Yet God is acting and performing like the Egypt and Pharaoh are God's Kingdom and Pharaoh has been a bad "steward"! There is nothing in Scripture stating that satan says anything to God about this being satan's property and for God to go back to His Kingdom! Come on! musicman1228 such Biblical passages demonstrate the stupidity, ridiculousness, and wrongness of your theories! Quote

Musicman1228 Posted July 13, 2011 Author Posted July 13, 2011 So, Miz3, according to you God also has complete control over the kingdom of Satan? That would put God on Satan's side, would it not? What was the reason that God sent the 10 plagues upon the Egypt? God is not a thief. Pharaoh OWNED the Children of Israel as SLAVES. God needed to get Pharaoh to willingly give up his ownership of the people that God needed, that would become the Kingdom of Heaven. The plagues were sent to BENEFIT the Kingdom of Heaven by causing Pharaoh to willingly give up his right to the Children of Israel. And yes, it was God that sent the 'angel of death' to kill the 1st born of Egypt, and Israel, and the herds and flocks. This angel was NOT employed by Satan to do God's bidding. Why could God lawfully do this? Because the cup of iniquity of Egypt was full to overflowing, and just as God did with the people before the flood so to did He to the people of Egypt in punishing them for their iniquity. God is the righteous judge and does NOTHING that is unrighteous, ever. If God had complete control over Pharaoh the why didn't God just tell Pharaoh in a dream or vision to "Let My people go"? Quote

Your initial assumptions are wrong which is why you do not understand Exodus 19:5. Where you are wrong is that you assume satan has a kingdom. There is no place in the Bible that says satan has a kingdom. I cited Exodus 19:5 to precisely shows you that satan does not have a kingdom! If God owns the whole world it is impossible for satan to have his own kingdom. Why do ignore the plain Word of God? 2. Pharaoh did not own the Children of Israel. See Ezekiel chapter 16! God owned them. Even God's Words state that! "Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: ‘Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the desert." Exodus 5:1. God said that they were His people and indeed Pharaoh did not own them. Why do you keep making these mistakes. It is breathtaking how far from the Scripture you are! 3. It was Pharaoh who had stolen the Children of Israel from God and God came to free His People! 4. You constantly make assertions based on assumptions that are NOT BIBLICAL! When you do this you are sure to come up with the wrong theology. This is what you have done. This is why you make inane comments like "they are Pharaoh's property"! Quote
Musicman1228 Posted July 14, 2011 Author Posted July 14, 2011 Miz3, You have categorically said that Satan does not have a kingdom. If Satan does not have a kingdom then why did Jesus say this in Revelation:(?) Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” Rev.11:15. And why did Jesus call Satan the ruler of this world:(?) " I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me," John 14:30. Your hubris blinds you to the Truth found in the words of Jesus. I also will no longer talk much with you, because the spirit of the ruler of this world resides in you and causes you to twist the truth to your own will. I pity you and your future unless you take off the dark glasses which you have willingly put on so you can see only what you want to see, not what is actually there. Quote

miz3 Posted July 14, 2011 Posted July 14, 2011 Thank you Dr. Rich for that answer. It was indeed a simple question. However, since we agree that God owns everything that means nothing else can own anything. Thus, we are also agreed that satan does not own anything! I have another question for you! Please explain the following passage from one of the eyewitnesses quoting the Words of Jesus Christ. "Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower. Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and went away on a journey. 34 When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit. 35 “The tenants seized his servants; they beat one, killed another, and stoned a third. 36 Then he sent other servants to them, more than the first time, and the tenants treated them the same way. 37 Last of all, he sent his son to them. ‘They will respect my son,’ he said. 38 “But when the tenants saw the son, they said to each other, ‘This is the heir. Come, let’s kill him and take his inheritance.’ 39 So they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. 40 “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?” 41 “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they replied, “and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.” 42 Jesus said to them, “Have you never read in the Scriptures: “‘The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone[h]; the Lord has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes’? 43 “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit. 44 He who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces, but he on whom it falls will be crushed.”[j] 45 When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard Jesus’ parables, they knew he was talking about them. 46 They looked for a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowd because the people held that he was a prophet." Matthew 21:33-46. Quote

Matthew 21:33-46. Earlier Jesus could find no figs on a tree and cursed it and it withered and died. Both of these stories represent what God prophesied back in Daniel 2 (a new KOH cut out w/o hands) and in Dan. 9:24. God gave Israel/Jews two chances (Fallen, fallen is Babylon) to get rid of sin and become righteous and both times they failed. As we see in the dead fig tree, Israel/Jews are not the exclusive KOH any longer. The NEW KOH was set up in 1844 and is the Adventists who now are sleeping spiritually. Quote

46 They looked for a way to arrest him, but they were afraid of the crowd because the people held that he was a prophet." Matthew 21:33-46. 1. The landowner is God (Jesus Christ) as we showed in Exodus 19:5 God owns everything. 2. The owner breaks up his possession and gives charge of His possessions to "tenants". 3. The "tenants" are you and I and also corporate structures, etc. The owner gives instructions to the tenants on what He expects them to do! 4. The owner sends others who work for Him to check up on these tenants and collect what is due to Him the Owner! The tenants treat his reps with disdain. 5. Then the Owner sends His Own Son and they kill HIM! 6. Then the Owner comes and destroys the wicked tenants! Notice the Owner never ever stopped owning the vineyard even when the "evil tenants" acted like they were in charge. The evil tenants tried to set up their kingdom even to the point of killing the Son! However, it did not matter what the "evil tenants" did or thought they were never ever in charge! The Owner was always in charge and He demonstrated that by destroying the "evil tenants"! The Owner did not ask permission nor did the Owner ever cede in any way the Ownership of His vineyard! The Principle that you missed is that God Owns the whole world and the tenants are you, I, other humans and even satan and his group. We may think we are in charge just as the "evil tenants" thought they were in charge but we are not just like the "evil tenants" were never ever in charge. Thus, when the Owner comes for an accounting He shows who has always been in charge and will always ever be in charge. So when satan claims this or that it is just not so! When God came to Pharaoh, Pharaoh claimed the Jews were his property but they never ever were. They always belonged to God and God by His Own Words in Exodus makes this plain that they are His people! Pharaoh defied God like the "evil tenants" and God demonstrated His Power and destroyed Pharaoh. Later on others remembered what God had done to Egypt and they trembled before Israel. Thus the Landowner came and destroyed what the "evil tenants" thought was their kingdom but was nothing more than hollow bluster because God showed that He was always in charge! This is why the Parables of Jesus are so important they teach us that God is always in charge and that God is always the owner. It also teaches us that at some point of God's choosing He will come and demand of us, like He did Pharaoh, an accounting of how we did His business! Quote
