Dr. Shane Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Prostitutes Need a Permit to Work the Ni.../#ixzz1X3250u9H Quote: Officials in Bonn are requiring prostitutes to pay 6 euros per night for a permit that allows them to work the sex trade, Der Spiegel reports... Though prostitution has been legal in Germany since 2002, streetwalking is frowned upon and complaints from residents have prompted Bonn city officials to set up a special area to contain the sex business. On the outskirts of the city near the municipal waste management facilities, special wooden garages have been set up for johns to park their cars privately and legally. The area also features a guard who prostitutes can call upon in case of an emergency. But now those who want to use this area must first pay the machines. I am sure cold-hearted conservatives would just love to get this kind of set-up going here in the US so we could kick single moms off from the welfare rolls. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted September 5, 2011 Author Posted September 5, 2011 I though this thread was going to be about corporations. Shhhhhhhhhhh. We are not talking about corporations. They are God's blessing that bring jobs and jobs and well... I guess that is it. Conservatives don't want corporations giving anything else like healthcare insurance or blessing the lives of their employees. But they do bring jobs... just not to benefit the employees. No this thread is about all those lazy welfare moms that don't like to get out of bed in the morning. The conservatives' solution is to make those single moms use their beds to bring in the cash and get off the public welfare roles. That way we can lower taxes for the corporations and they can create more jobs with no benefits. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity

Women are capable of far more than welfare or prostitution. They are neither stupid, helpless or inept.Thousands and thousands of single women without college degrees and welfare take care of their children. Dr. Shane Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 The loop holes (aka deductions & credits) encourage individuals and businesses to do certain behaviors. That is a good thing. Dr. Shane Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 Women are capable of far more than welfare or prostitution. They are neither stupid, helpless or inept. Many women have to choose between welfare or prostitution. That is the hard reality for many women. If you find that hard to believe, count yourself among the blessed. The cold hard reality is you have never shown proof of "many women" that have to choose between. You keep saying taht as if that will eventually make it true. bonnie Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Assuming or making the flat out statement that women can only make one of two choices is demeaning and degrading to women that can and do raise their children without great advantage and a college degree. You have already shown your disdain for those that do not have a college education. Assuming the physical and mental health is not a factor the main ingrediant missing in those that live a life on welfare is motivation.A strong desire to do better. No one claims the life of a single mother is easy.Life is tough for a lot of people. If my life may be difficult, mainly due to my own choices,I have absolutely no right to demand others work while I don't, to provide my needs. Watching the single mothers in my immediate area it is pretty easy to determine who is on welfare. Those on welfare stroll back and forth in the neighborhood, baby in stroller, cigerette in hand, and a cell phone glued to their ear. Those that are self supporting do not have the time. None of them by the way have a college degree. The self supporting have the motivation, the determination, not to live on welfare.Nor have they chosen prostitution. One young woman, dropped out of high school in her jr year due to pregnancy. She determined three things, having been raised on welfare, her child would not be,not wanting her child raised in daycare, realizing by the end of her pregnancy how foolish her choice had been to believe the young man that was babies father. She has never asked the father for a dime and he is more than happy that way. Her big advantage in life was a aunt that taught her how to make baby clothes. She perfected her sewing skillls and took off.Oddly enough she has supported herself and her child quite well making items for pets. She sells online and locally and cannot keep up.She has tried to hire help in the neighborhood, thinking maybe another single mom would like to work. That didn't work, surprise, surprise. She now has hired a married woman who lost her job. This is the second single mom I know that is making a living this way. Another single mom,no children,no college degree,is pulling in 1200.00 a week with a daycare in her home.A home she purchased without help. The ways and means are there if there is the motivation Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. bonnie Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Before you admire yourself to much for not being a cold hearted conservative, remember, conservatives give more to charity voluntarily, personal time, even donating blood than the soft hearted liberals.Liberals also have more money. Interesting how Obama the leading liberal keeps yapping about everyone being his brothers keeper and he was very stingy with his personal income. Then of course we have liberals like Buffett complaining he is tired of being coddled tax wise while refusing to pay his taxes. I am glad I was never told by soft hearted liberals that I was to stupid, incompetent and incapable of doing something because of the lack of a college degree. That I must choose between welfare and prostitution. Dr. Shane Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 A You have already shown your disdain for those that do not have a college education. This is not true. We can disagree without lying about each other. I stated that the ultra-conservative talking heads on the radio are college drop-outs. My point was that they lack perspective from the other side and middle. In fact, Rush Limbaugh is so out of it he doesn't even believe there is a middle. He thinks that one is either extreme conservative or liberal. He should have let his dad spend a little more money and taken advantage of the free college education his daddy was offering him. Dr. Shane Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 The ways and means are there if there is the motivation That is simply a fantasy world. Many women are trapped and need a hand up. My mother always worked a full-time job during all those years that she collected welfare and simply couldn't make enough money to pay the rent, utilities, buy food, insure the care and buy health insurance for all of her children. Of course, is she went into prostitution or dealt drugs she could have pulled it off. That is what cold-hearted conservatives wanted her to do. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Dr. Shane Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 conservatives give more to charity voluntarily, personal time, even donating blood than the soft hearted liberals. Compassionate conservatives give a lot of time and money. Cold-hearted conservatives only give to sooth their guilty conscience from the pangs of the Holy Spirit. Don't confuse the two. George W. Bush was a compassionate conservative and the cold-hearted conservatives criticized him for all he did for the poor and down trodden. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... I am no more a stranger to extreme poverty than you are. My siblings and I had the same choices that all without financial security, well do to or just average poor parents and unusual talents or higher education face. We made the choice to have a better life. Hard work and no handouts, but we are proof having lived a life of poverty without a single advantage that it can be done. We never thought that poverty made us somehow special, with a right to demand someone work harder and give it to us. Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Dr. Shane Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 One life would be proof if even if it were only one life. Sadly it is not. The heart of Jesus weeps when He sees the cold and callous hearts of some conservatives that would rather have a tax break than put a few crumbs of bread on the table of a single mom. I am proof that our welfare system offers kids a way out. Had I been born in a country without a safety net, like Mexico, there is no way I could have ever gotten a college degree. Of course many kids raised on welfare drop out of school and become criminals but that has more to do with a lack of a father in the home or a dysfunctional family than it has to do with public assistance. Public assistance gives these least among us a chance to break out of the cycle. Sending mom into prostitution just isn't an acceptable solution. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... You came across as very arrogant and superior because of your education. But if you want to talk of lying,go back and check your first couple of posts in this thread. In many things there is not a middle that is right. If you believe that a college education is the only way to have a perspective from the other side and middle your disdain is showing again..I rather doubt that Rush would have done any better with a college education. bonnie Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 One of our sons has more education than you have.He chose a different path of obtaining his education. He knows what it is like to work until you are ready to drop to achieve your goals Paid every dime of his education without help from anyone. He did not have a dime when he started. What he did have was motivation. He has advanced steadily in his profession and well understands the middle, right, and left perspective. His education gave him less respect for the left and even less for the middle perspective. That has served him very well. Generous to a fault in helping others but has expectations for those receiving help. He doesn't ask for pay back. Dr. Shane Posted September 6, 2011 Author Posted September 6, 2011 One of our sons... Paid every dime of his education without help from anyone. You probably don't want to repeat that story too much as it makes you and your husband look kind of bad. You say that you and your husband ran a successful painting business but one of your sons worked his way through college without the help from anyone. I don't want to be judgmental but that story really doesn't cast you and your husband in a very favorable light. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
