Have you read the book from the 1960's called "The Rich and the Superrich"? It will expalin what is happening. There are about 200 families which make up the superrich. When they have the list of the world's richest people and included names such as John Paul Getty, or Bill Gates etc. They were only the richest of the rich, but they are far short from the superrich.

It is these 200 families which own all the corporations, our polititions are those who serve them and they give us one a little more liberal or a little more conservative to give the apperence of a choice, but no matter what party is in there are too many of the same policies. They are making the US into a police state under the name of homeland security. They clogged up the court system with that American talaban who has lost his mind while in captivity, but if they want to accuse us of being a threat for our freedom of worship lets say and take away our constitutional rights for trial, we cannot appeal beacuse his case went up to the supream court where the government decided not to persue it and have it stopped there, so the Supream court cannot listen to similar cases until they take care of this one and the government won't let the court hear it leaving it as a log jam. If we are faithful with preaching the gospel, then this is what is going to become the 7th head of the beast of Revelation.

John 14:30 "I won't be talking with you much longer, because the ruler of this world is coming. He has no claim on me;

Don't you obey the authorities today? Paul is not telling us to go against God here, he's just saying to obey the Government that's in charge, just like you and I are doing today. Examples: Don't drink and drive, stop at red lights, pay your taxes, etc. I'm guessing that you comply with these laws?? He's not saying that if the government requires you to not worship on the Sabbath that you should comply or that you should not worship God! As RLH says there is no contradiction here at all. Your biases are showing. That's pretty sad Dr. Rich, very sad.

And by the way Paul was persecuted and died for his Faith in God as well as the rest of God's apostles and disciples.

I agree, there is a plain line that in obedience to God first we will and must do.

Ro 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

Ro 13:4 For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Yes, it is sad! Especially when the government told the pastors to tell their flock that FEMA was God ordained and to obey the Government when Katrina hit. When told to take the "Mark", you will not have any excuse if you follow the words of Paul.

Clearly, Satan is the ruler of this world right now and will be until the 7th trumpet blows. In fact, ALL of the rulers of this world are following after Satan as the New World Order is fast on it's way.
