So what's the issue? I have believed for many years exactly that the first night of the three days and three nights and of the first day they killed the passover, was Jesus' descent to hell - just what you believe (as I understand you) OK. The main meaning given for Gethsemane in Young's also is 'Oil-Press'. That's my point. The reason I objected to your statement is this... If someone is making a point trying to draw attention to the subject and someone else interrupts and interjects "it can also mean this" it is confusing, especially if the meaning has a main point in the presenters logic. It is disruptive to the flow of the intent of the presenter. You listed everything you seemed to be in objection to, seemingly including the Gethsemane statement and in the process clouded up the message. Even if this was not your intent, which I pray it was not, it gives a confusion to the mind of readers trying to grasp the deep message as it is. I'm glad you see the intent of the fact that the night Jesus was in Gethsemane was when he suffered the wrath of God in hell for us. that is good.

'Wine' for 'blood'. Jesus received our judgment upon Himself. And therefore it may be objectionable that the meaning of Gethsemane should exclusively be 'place of the olive-press'. The olive's oil nowhere in the Bible is a metaphor for blood or for new life - as far as I know. You could perhaps teach me something here. Yes, I totally agree that He tread the wine press alone in Gethsemane. (Mrs White uses these exact words) But that is another subject, connected to this subject, but future tense. The wine press imagery is connected to the dreadful day of the Lord when He comes in the clouds and harvests the earth. If men do not accept what He did to reconcile us to God in Gethsemane, the place where the oil of the Holy Spirit is given, then when He comes back, everyone who did not come to His side in Gethsemane will be trodden down and their blood will be on their own heads. I was meaning to get back to that point, so thank you for reminding me.

When I receive 'visions', it revitalises me like nothing; it usually results in some study-article or sometimes a whole book. To receive a vision pretending it is canonical 'Inspiration' of course is something completely different and something that has never happened to me and I pray never will. I unhesitatingly believe I 'receive' my 'visions' through the revelation and inspiration of God's Holy Spirit. Never shall I deny my God the honour and thanks for having given me insights into his Word that come directly from, his, written, Word. Nothing I have written - I believe - has been extra-Biblical or super-Biblical 'inspired' - never! But this I know, that while I take a walk with my dachshund, or lie awake on my bed, and some passage from the Scriptures suddenly takes on new and living meaning to me, it is not of myself, but a gift from my God. And though the world may scorn me for my 'findings', I shall always give Him the thanks and honour, and praise, for it. Yes, the while the world eagerly waits that I should renounce my faith and deny my Lord and be made the laughingstock of both saints and wicked men because of what I CAME TO BELIEVE THROUGH GOD'S HOLY SPIRIT working on my mind and soul and heart FROM HIS WORD. what you have described is also how I would present the 'impressions' that I get. Not as much in the dreams and visions. The impressions I describe as the still small voice leading me to tie passages together with the Spirit of Prophecy (Mrs. White/bible), I believe this is called the Spirit of Remembrance. But the dreams and visions that tell me what my life will hold, perfectly, or warn me of a future fulfillment of prophecy are different than those. I have the dream or vision then I find the exact thing written in the Spirit of Prophecy without ever having read it before. I am still trying to Fathom it but cannot put the words concisely.
