By saying that to be an Seventh-day Adventist requires that one must believe in and accept the authority of Ellen G. White, is absurd. To be a Seventh-day Adventist one must hold to the teachings of the Father, the Son of God, and Spirit of Truth. Anyone claiming to have been given authority to speak the testimony of God, their testimony must not contradict or change His testimony.

"We must follow the directions given through the Spirit of prophecy. We must love and obey the truth for this time. This will save us from accepting strong delusions. God has spoken to us through His Word. He has spoken to us through the Testimonies to the church, and through the books that have helped to make plain our present duty and the position that we should now occupy".—Testimonies For The Church 8:298 (1904). {Ev 260.3}

“Many excused their disregard of the testimonies by saying, ‘Sister White is influenced by her husband; the testimonies are molded by his spirit and judgment.’ Others were seeking to gain something from me which they could construe to justify their course or to give them influence. It was then I decided that nothing more should go from my pen until the converting power of God was seen in the church. But the Lord placed the burden upon my soul. I labored for you earnestly. How much this cost both my husband and myself, eternity will tell. Have I not a knowledge of the state of the church, when the Lord has presented their case before me again and again for years? Repeated warnings have been given, yet there has been no decided change {1SM 26.4}

“Yet now when I send you a testimony of warning and reproof, many of you declare it to be merely the opinion of Sister White. You have thereby insulted the Spirit of God. You know how the Lord has manifested Himself through the Spirit of prophecy. Past, present, and future have passed before me. I have been shown faces that I had never seen, and years afterward I knew them when I saw them. I have been aroused from my sleep with a vivid sense of subjects previously presented to my mind and I have written, at midnight, letters that have gone across the continent, and arriving at a crisis, have saved great disaster to the cause of God. This has been my work for many years. A power has impelled me to reprove and rebuke wrongs that I had not thought of. Is this work of the last thirty-six years from above or from beneath?... {1SM 27.1}

“When I went to Colorado I was so burdened for you that, in my weakness, I wrote many pages to be read at your camp meeting. Weak and trembling, I arose at three o’clock in the morning to write to you. God was speaking through clay. You might say that this communication was only a letter. 18. The Gift of Prophecy:

One of the gifts of the Holy Spirit is prophecy. This gift is an identifying mark of the remnant church and was manifested in the ministry of Ellen. G. White . As the Lord's messenger, her writings are a continuing and authoritative source of truth which provide for the church comfort, guidance, instruction, and correction. They also make clear that the Bible is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested. (Joel 2:28, 29; Acts 2:14-21; Heb. 1:1-3; Rev. 12:17; 19:10.)

If you were baptized into the SDA church you swore an oath that you believe the Spirit of Prophecy through Ellen White as divinely instructed. So you have been proven to be a liar. By breaking your oath to God.

So if you don't believe this statement why are you here?

The reason I believe our God has impressed me to present these things just this way is because He wants everyone to know that this place of communion is available. Go to the Garden. He wants everyone to experience His son's shame, which was ours, and empathize with what He even goes through today every time we sin.

I would be interested to hear you talk more about the Garden of Gesthemane james. This is a Bible theme that interests me quite a bit.

This quote shows us the place of meeting, the Garden of the Lord is the Garden of Gethsemane, which is the gate to the Garden of Eden. Jesus exchanged Eden for the Garden of Gethsemane, so we could enter the Garden of Eden.

If you pray with this in mind, it makes the perfect illustration in how to mix the merits of Christ with our prayers so they can be heard by the Father.

The Garden Alone

Based on Luke 22:39-46

"And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening Him."

God was with Him in the Garden alone

Jesus conquered by strength divine

But the separation went deeper than bone

As the battle began; God drew the line.

The Father didn’t want to remove the cup

The disciples slept from sorrow and fear

And while Gabriel came to lift Jesus up

His sweat poured out as blood and tear.

As crises supreme did heart and soul break

Jesus came alone, to fight by petition there

The angel assured Him He made no mistake

For now He might answer the sinners prayer.

We have to go to the Garden alone

We have to bring our worry and care

And when we go, we glimpse the throne

For in the Garden; our Lord is there.

Jesus conquered by strength not his own

And we can have this encounter today

As we go by faith to our garden alone

Christ conquered in divine strength, and so must every tempted soul overcome. God was with Christ in the Garden of Gesthemane; and by this experience of Christ, we are to learn to trust our heavenly Father; at all times, and in all places, we are to believe that he is tender, true, and faithful – able to keep that which is committed to His care. In the agonizing struggle of Christ, our Substitute and Surety; the Father was beside His Son, and He is beside every soul that struggles with discouragement and difficulty.

I would only make one remark, in humility and hope of reconciliation in the Spirit, this is an olive branch for you and I...

Sorrow and anguish again pressed heavily upon his heart…It was not a dread of the physical suffering he was soon to endure that brought this agony upon the Son of God. He was enduring the penalty of man's transgression and shuddering beneath the Father's frown. He must not call his divinity to his aid, but as a man, he must bear the consequences of man's sin and the Creator's displeasure toward his disobedient subjects. As he felt his unity with the Father broken up, he feared that his human nature would be unable to endure the coming conflict with the prince of the power of darkness; and in that case the human race would be irrecoverably lost, Satan would be victor, and the earth would be his kingdom. The sins of the world weighed heavily upon the Savior, and bowed him to the earth; and the Father's anger in consequence of that sin seemed crushing out his life…{5Red 21.1}

This is why Mrs. White said the nature of man must me studied (along with the state of the dead) because Jesus went through the wrath of the Father as a man, not using His divinity to help Him in any way.

When I was baptized NO ONE had to believe in the 27-28 doctrines in order to be a SDA. Only you kids as sonofthunder think you know it all, but you don't. The words of Jesus given to us by His eyewitnesses TRUMP everything else and they are all one needs to know the truth regarding salvation. Jesus warned that MANY would be deceived by people claiming they were of Jesus Christ and would say and write things that sounded nice, but in truth, their words are deceiving. Jesus NEVER warned anyone that His words would deceive anyone. Therefore, I choose to follow and obey the words of Jesus Christ ONLY! You are free to choose to follow anyone you want.

So tell me sothunder, why are you a SDA? What makes you so special? Why should anyone follow your words and forsake the words of Jesus?

If you do not believe that the Spirit of Prophecy is given by God and in perfect harmony to the will of God, then you are not a true Seventh Day Adventist. And the Spirit would go further and say everyone here arguing against the Spirit of Prophecy was sent here to destroy the SDA church and as such are enemies of God.
