Pastor Doug is entitled to his opinion but it is just his opinion and is not supported by the Bible. He ignores so much. The SECC has already agreed to ordain women the same way that it ordains the male pastors. This is a great first step. More steps will be coming despite the opposition from those who want to keep it an "all male club of power". Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. olger Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 In 1994, I asked George Vandeman what he thought of the Women's ordination agenda. He replied, "The actions of places like Sligo and others, convince me that we made the correct decision in Indianapolis (referring to the 1990 GC session). In 1995, I asked Leslie Hardinge what he thought of WO. He replied "The Bible is against it. It's not the kind of book that changes." Then he added, "The historical change of the Sabbath was caused by one man. Rudy Torres should be very careful." Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."

Members phkrause Posted April 14, 2012 Members Posted April 14, 2012 I have met a lot of sincere, affable people that were still wrong... I do agree Tom. That is the difference between them and a few here, they allow for that! At least they are humble enough to allow others there opinion but yet there opinion is looked upon with disdain. Lysimachus Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Your kidding right? Doug Batchelor? He has already proven himself to be totally bogus on this topic. Semen? Give me a break. Whether Doug Batchelor was right wrong about "semen", that's not the issue. People like to pick on small irrelevancies that have no bearing on the matter. Even if Doug Batchelor was wrong on this, so what? Who cares? I don't. The real question is, have you looked at the other materials on that website? A number of sound, exegetical documentation by different scholars has been put on that site. http://www.womenministrytruth.com/ Not to mention that men like Pastor Stephen Bohr agree with him on this matter. There is nothing wrong with disagreeing, just lets not be disagreeable. What I see and hear are many have not really listen to his talk at all, just picked out what they thought they heard. olger Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Indeed. Looking forward to reading Wellesley Muir's book, and comparing it with Scripture. Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Woody Posted April 15, 2012 Author Posted April 15, 2012 I've not seen any evidence against women pastors that is Biblical and I have studied it at great length. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

miz3 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 NEWS FLASH! The Bible supports women's ordination. Many examples are given of where God called women to lead/administer/preach/have authority/etc. over all of God's People. In other words God Ordained Women the same as God Ordained the male of the species. Quote

olger Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Biblically, theologically, and in all other ways incorrect sir. Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Raphael Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 The Bible supports woman ordination and God's call upon women leadership but at what PROPORTION and what CIRCUMSTANCE? The thousands of years of Biblical Records and including records of the early church in the first centuries until this 21st century reveals the highly extreme MINOR proportion of leadership provided for women and that is still further added with records of God's first choice of a man that refuses to do His bidding resulting in God's famous trait that He can even make the stones shout & rejoice or even empower a women, if men were that hard-necked and stubborn. Are these tremendously long spans of recorded time-frames proof that God is silent upon gender leadership role issues? God says nothing about narcotics, pornography and vices like smoking, coffee and coca cola. I suppose God's silence on the matters licenses its validity, right? Why was Eve told not to stray from her husband and not the other way around of the husband not to stray from his wife or why not the current popular equality gender style of admonishing both the husband & wife not to stray from one another? It must have been a mindless spontaneous order, I believe, right?? Satan has been assailing God's people since then till now and this is his latest and most avant-garde attack. God's allows many things that are against Him to transpire, simply to test & fill the pain/cross meter of His people. May His people endure the path and not faint in the journey. All we can do is keeping on returning to Him every moment day by day, supplicating & pleading for His aid, help & forgiveness because 'Nothing Is Possible Without Him' and 'Everything Is Possible Only Because Of Him'.. with simply nothing to brag or be proud of upon one's self.. Quote Test me with thy might but grant me safe passage. Now, who said that?
olger Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 The Godhead What looks like a simple difference over the interpretation of Scripture easily slips into a subtle debate about it’s authority. And behind it all, the very nature of the Godhead is being questioned. To man and woman have been given the answer to a mystery. As in Ephesians 5, the sacrificial love of the husband, and the submission of the wife illustrate to a watching world what God is like. It is a mystery made known to all. Any disruption in these roles & relations result in a witness lost and a mystery stolen from those who would benefit by it. Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Raphael Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Can Bible masters, Doctors & PhDs on the Word of God help out on the percentage figure showed by entire Bible records of woman leadership? I am pretty certain it is highly far below one percent from among the entire Bible records of individual human God-blessed leadership. A figure that is so small that it renders the impression of something that in general would be omitted. Anyway this can be homework for Bible professors in Andrews and other venerable places of learning of the Lord. Quote Test me with thy might but grant me safe passage. Now, who said that?

Raphael Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Andrews University & other venerable places of learning of the Lord supporting woman ordination.. well, I didn't know that they had so much more than my assigned homework.. Therefore, let this be the duty of anyone still truthfully searching the God's word. Quote Test me with thy might but grant me safe passage. Now, who said that?
