Any expressed viewpoints must include ALL of the following criteria:

1/ No posts allowed to "prove" that women's ordination should be allowed.

2/ Only posts in support of the traditional view of ordination for men only, when it comes to Pastor, or Elder

3/ Your posts here must contain elements of personal testimony, personal Bible study, and experience, regarding the traditional views of ordination. What are the benefits of keeping things the way they are? What are the dangers/concerns about changing things so that women can be ordained as pastor or Elder?

You are kidding right?

"No posts allowed to "prove" that women's ordination should be allowed". I suppose you're saying that you don't want to read anything that may convince you in another direction.

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

I'm pretty sure that's not what he meant. Besides Lazarus you left out the first sentence! Which kinda sets up what he had in mind for this thread.

Women's ordination is a theological issue, not a policy issue. We tend to forget this, in all the hoopla, my brothers.

In case you didn't know:

It was originally intended as a resource thread, then turned into an "anti" thread.

Personally I would let it stay an anti thread where "they" can voice their thoughts and feelings without interference.

It isn't like there aren't enough other threads going. LOL

Personally, I can fully understand why.

In this thread - only one side was allowed. Soon they ran out of support for their cause and it became just one side tooting their own horn.

Very boring if you ask me.

But now that it is opened up to Truth - I have no doubt that he will return.

Theological, until those in favor of WO show a theological/Biblical basis for it, then they are accused of policy violation, rebellion or liberal cultural bias by those opposed. But if those in favor of WO say the opposition is based primarily on cultural bias, or as here cite policy as a reason the union conferences can ordain without regard to gender, those opposed want to make it all about theology.

But if it really is theological, how come all of the studies officially commissioned by the Church have not found any theological basis against ordaining women?

Wow. So true. ANd it is not without effort - for they have certainly TRIED to find a theological basis against ordaining women. Year after year after year. Praise God - HE supports women ordination. But there is so much hate for women out there that their effort continues.

God does not support female headship. Where did you get an idea like THAT?

Ordination is not about headship. Being a pastor is not about headship.
