Robert Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 when he suffered, he made no threats... Mark 1515 Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified. 16 The soldiers led Jesus away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium) and called together the whole company of soldiers. 17 They put a purple robe on him, then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on him. 18 And they began to call out to him, "Hail, king of the Jews!" 19 Again and again they struck him on the head with a staff and spit on him. Falling on their knees, they paid homage to him. 20 And when they had mocked him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him out to crucify him. Quote

Gibs Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 When a man's home is busted into after sunset and before sunrise, war is made against him and his house of whom is the head. I suppose he could run and leave his siblings to take it up with the "devil". When a woman goes for an abortion she is declaring war on the life God has begun in her and the little babe has no defense. Same with your family if you aren't man enough to stand up and maybe lose your life for them. Are you not their defender? Today here in town another robery, this time a 29 yr old woman and a young tall man with a gun robbed her of purse and all contents, the fourth in this close area within half a mile. All need to tighten up the personal security however you see to do it as times yet are not anything to what it will be even before this winter is out. Stun guns and grizzly large stream sprays are effective but no match against a villain with a gun. Pepper sprays in a closed in room will get you too, so to use it you need a back out way to avoid being incapacitated also. It is true, Jesus said it!, Lu 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Robert Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 It is true, Jesus said it!, Lu 11:21 When a strong man armed keepeth his palace, his goods are in peace: Jesus stated a fact of life in this world under sin. He did not endorse such - His life testifies to this.....Apparently you wish to avoid what Christ told the RYR - "take up your cross and follow me". John 12:25 "He who loves his life loses it, but he who hates his life in this world will keep it safe right on into eternal life!" Quote

Everyone in Israel will hear what has happened and be afraid. So, if under the book the law it is okay to kill a thief, it is equally okay to stone your son to death if he refuses to obey and be a drunkard. Robert, does agape love say it's okay to steal? Will agape love admit rebellious children into heaven? Quote
Moderators Gerr Posted September 6, 2012 Moderators Posted September 6, 2012 Deut 19:21 show no mercy; the punishment is to be a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, a hand for a hand, and a foot for a foot. Gibs Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Robert, You have shown you would not protect your own life, but would you lift a hand in defense of those within your household. Do you have a wife and children, would you stand by and let them be maimed and killed? 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Christ ? 27 But we know where this man is from; when the Christ comes, no one will know where he is from." 28 Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, "Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own, but he (God the Father) who sent me is true. You do not know him, 29 but I know him because I am from him and he sent me." 30 At this they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come. Quote

Yes, God will protect, but He also expects you to use common sense. God protected David as he brought Goliath to the ground, and then cut his head off. So while your wife and child are being raped, maimed, or tortured, you're just going to stand there saying: "I think God should handle this. Shouldn't God protect?" I can see the headline now... Guest Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 He guided the stone from David's sling, when the situation called for it. Why do you always limit God? And you don't need lots of guns. But nobody is using slings anymore, in case you haven't noticed. Quote
Gibs Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 Is it a sin for the strong man of the house to have an evener equal to what the intruder might have and in most cases is armed. In one case locally here the ladies hand gun was stolen along with some other valuables she had. The rascal wanted her gun and to try to sell it with it's serial # still on it he would be caught, so the only things left for him to do would be to keep an illegal firearm or grind off the serial # and sell an illegal firearm to someone else who wants an illegal firearm. Crooks don't own legal firearms you must know. I really think Robert at some point would defend his family even with his life. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. That's the essence of the law, but you guys say no, shoot the SOB. Kill him. Hence you freely admit that you cannot keep God's law. Quote

Robert Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 So love does not protect? Love just watches its loved ones raped and pillaged? Hebrews 11:25 Others were tortured and refused to be released, so that they might gain a better resurrection. 36 Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. 37 They were stoned; they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated-- 38 the world was not worthy of them. They wandered in deserts and mountains, and in caves and holes in the ground. 39 These were all commended for their faith.... Did God just watch? Quote
