The fundamental Biblical issue, in my understanding, is ministry, not ordination. The Bible places the emphasis on ministry much more than ordination. I personally emailed the EGW estate asking if EW was ever an ordained minister and they assured me that she had turned down ordination. The above is a mixture of truth and error. IT is probably true in regard to a ministerial license. AS far as I know, EGW was never issued a ministerial license. What is true is that EGW was issued the credentials of an ordained minister and was so listed in the official denominational records. This was done more than once. It is from this perspective that some say that EGW was ordained. Was EGW an ordained minister?: She was never ordained in a public ceremony by the laying on of hands. Jesus sees all of this, and is fully prepared to meet every change, issue and need as it arrives, including dementia, which if we get old enough will likely be one more change we deal with. God may not change, but God may change the application. God's ideal may be one man married to one woman. Yet, the O.T. clearly shows God accepting men with multiple wives and concubines.
