Two and A Half Men star Angus T. Jones has branded his hit show 'filth' and urged fans to turn off in an extraordinary religious rant.

The 19-year-old - who makes $350,000 per episode playing Jake - is featured in a new video for the Forerunner Christian Church, part of the Seventh-day Adventist movement.

In the online clip, titled Angus Jones Testimony, he says: 'If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching.'

Jones has been on the show since he was 10 but says he doesn't want to be on it.

His comments are likely to attract ire from the show's creator Chuck Lorre and his bosses at Warner Brothers, who are yet to comment.

The teen's outburst continued: 'Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth. People say it’s just entertainment.

'Do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television and especially with what you watch on television ... it's bad news.'

I saw the headline in the news, but didn't see his connection with Adventists. I hope and pray that he stands by his newfound convictions. I've never seen the show, but knew that wild Sheen was in it, so I never bothered to watch it.

Wouldn't his conviction mean a little more if he had quit the show first? Maybe it's just me but it seems a little hypocritical to continue working on a show, draw a paycheck and condemn it all at the same time.

It is not the same interview as was done with 3ABN.

The Forerunner interview goes way past that.

We need to support Angus with our prayers -- he is going to catch a lot of flack from Satan's organization in the Hollywood area.

Praise God that someone who has barely been an SDA for a year is taking such a bold stand!

Those who think it is a small thing to put your paycheck and also your entire career on the line as a 21 year old taking a stand for Christ - should try it.

In fact Ellen White predicts that it is that very thing that causes a shaking in Adventism where the vast majority leave the church.

Christ predicted that all of the disciples would run away - and Peter flatly denied it. Little did he know.

Ellen White predicted that the vast majority inside the SDA church would rather switch then stand and be counted no matter the cost. Oh how many suppose like Peter that they would remain.

The words "recent awakening" might have something to do with the fact he has not severed ties as yet.

If he doesn't become discouraged and wholly accepts his new found faith,that probably is coming.

My thinking is that he has to complete his contract because of his legal obligations till the end of the season. I don't know anything about it, but it would seem logical that that would have to happen. I am very impressed that he has stood up for the truth he has found. Give him, as a new Christian time to work things out. He has a lot to do to sever his ties. It is not going to be easy for him to convince his family and people at the show how his new found faith has truly changed him. We all need to be praying for him, and not criticizing, or discecting his every word. Would we have the courage to do what he is doing? This young man is truly going to be a witness for Jesus.

INTERVIEW WITH WELL-KNOWN TV SITCOM STAR TO AIR ON HOPE CHANNEL NOVEMBER 30

Does the name Angus T. Jones mean anything to you?

Unless you're a fan of the TV sitcom Two-and-a-Half Men, you may not recognize the name, but for the past 10 years Jones has been the "half-man" (the son/nephew) Jake Harper on the hit show alongside Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer, and now Ashton Kutcher.

Christians everywhere may be surprised to learn that the now 19-year-old was recently baptized at a Los Angeles-area Seventh-day Adventist church.

Those who have seen the TV show he's a part of know that – in Jones’ own words – the show doesn't want anything to do with God. But this young man has avoided the all-too-familiar downhill route of many Hollywood child stars. Instead he's looking up, and he sees his association with the show as an opportunity to share his faith with people who otherwise might never hear the name of Jesus, except in a blasphemous way.

Though he attended a Christian school most of his life, Jones admittedly battled some trials and temptations while staying grounded. Through a providential series of associations with friends, Jones heard of a church that might meet his desires.

Voice of Prophecy (VOP) Bible School worker Denise Johnson is a member at the church where Jones arrived one Sabbath morning, and she and her husband have been helping him get to know Jesus better through Bible study. At Denise's invitation Jones visited the Adventist Media Center in nearby Simi Valley, California, and shared his testimony on October 8 (his 19th birthday). After speaking to the Media Center group, Jones joined VOP Associate Speaker Connie Vandeman Jeffery in the TV studio to record a 30-minute interview as part of the new Turning Point series she is producing with Pastor Dan Jackson, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in North America. Jones shares his testimony and talks about the turning points in his life.

The episode will premiere Friday, November 30, at 8:00 p.m. ET on Hope Channel and repeat at 11:00 p.m. ET. It will also air Sabbath, December 1, at 3:00 and 5:30 p.m. ET; Sunday, December 2 at 3:30 and 9:30 p.m. ET; and Monday, December 3, at 8:00 a.m. ET.

Agreed - however I think his family and co-workers see the change - but they probably don't like it one bit.

He is going to have everything but the kitchen sink tossed his direction over the next few days.

My guess is that the contract is stated in such a way that the show can choose to break it -- but Angus cannot without some sort of notice or penalties or something.

I saw the Turning Point interview - it was well done.

However the Forerunner interview by contrast - includes elements that will get Angus in a lot of trouble.

Please pray for him.

Certainly that is a 19 year old that needs our prayers as he faces more of the music set against his decision today with family and co-workers.

I mean I put my career on the line by living my convictions every day with every job. Sometimes that means I don't take a job if I have a conflict with a particular client. I don't take the money and then bash the client.

And while he may be a newbie and all and he certainly needs our prayers, how he is choosing to go about this is a bit off.

It could be that this young man is working toward getting out of his contract. Or, perhaps he is trying to get his character to also undergo a conversion experience.

At any rate, I do wish the best for Angus T. Jones. I hope that he can live with his convictions in spite of his past and move on from all this controversy.

I am no one to judge the heart of a young man who's on fire for Christ.

So A. T. Jones makes news for accepting Adventist Christianity in 2012. And in 2011 Harold Camping makes news for claiming a period of investigative judgment has come just prior to his predicted coming of Christ.
