This is a common logical fallacy. 'They thought this non-crazy person was crazy, so therefore these people who are thought to be crazy must also be non-crazy.' No, not logical. There are actual crazy people. Thinking they are crazy is just recognising reality.

I agree. I recall a movie actress who had been baptized and was introduced at General Conference Session [i think it was in 1946]. She was wearing a beautiful fur coat. I recall seeing her and thinking they were parading her around like some prize steer at the county fair [the meetings were held in the Cow Palace, as I recall]. She was never heard from again, after that weekend. It was too much; overdone; trying to use her to advertise Adventism.

That must have been in 1960-1964. I was there, but the story of said convert must have faded from my memory.

We know very little about this young man and zero about his future. The story may have a happy ending or just the opposite. But we can welcome and pray for him!

I think the devil's kingdom trembles a bit when they see someone come from right out of the pit - into the light of God's remnant Church - through our prophecy study groups, seminars etc.

The key here is that after a few weeks of attending 4 churches each Sunday - a Sunday-wannabee SDA church would not have been noticed at all.

It had to be a conservative, prophecy preaching, Bible worker active - on fire church where each sermon was "bet your life this is important and will make a difference in your life".
