Gibs Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Today it is a travesty of the gospel message given out by the church structures of men today. It is not the SAVING Gospel at all but what the destroyer is so happy to see expounded to people! Is the True Gospel Message so hard and galling that it is not being given out? Well some think it is as they want to be saved as they are with continuing their lives as always. There never was a death of the old man or woman that a new one could be born! Not a death of this poor old body mind you. It is to plant the old self down and out, a full and unconditional surrender to do the will of our God and Savior Jesus Christ instead of ours. When we do fall Broken on Him then we become born again of His Spirit. Jesus Christ born of Woman in the fullness of time overcame Satan as a man and not as God who did dwell in Him in all fullness. The kingdom of earth was lost by a man and it had to be reclaimed by a man. Had Christ reached within and used the power of God which He was well able to do, Satan would have won by default! I believe the important thing to realize out of this is that He overcame Satan as a man must, taking no power but what is ours. That was in allowing only the Father's Spirit in Him to be the sole Master in Him that He would only come to obey, He became our example of how it is accomplished! Now Christ in us, is our hope of Glory, which is actually the self same Spirit that we must allow only to be our sole Master and obey only Him and keep self and gratifications crucified. It wasn't God who overcame Satan who dwelt in Him in all fullness, but He Himself the one sinless man who took on Himself the deficit of our sinful fallen nature as a drag, a terrible drag. Therefore knowing and understanding the weakness of fallen man and so could succor us from knowing us. Personally I believe this should be brought out in every True Gospel message. That we must be overcomers too and we must do it just as He did, that is the Way He has made and we can easily walk in it. He proclaimed to us, "I am the Way", and then "Follow Me!". The way of the true Gospel of Salvation is not a hard row to hoe for us in no way close to what He had to contend with. We have an advantage and that is Satan and His can see Him dwelling in you and so know that your mind and heart set you will obey only Him and so know they are defeated foes. We so resist the Devils and they flee from us. Are not each and every one of us to spread this truth to all we can and help them to understand the truth of it. Are we not to love our fellow man as ourselves! 1Jo 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. 1Jo 4:6 We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 1Jo 4:4 ΒΆ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. Dr. Waite Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 This is the true gospel: Quote: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. This is the false gospel: Quote: The sonship of Jesus, however,is not ontological but functional. In the plan of salvation each member of the Trinity has accepted a particular role. Gibs Posted October 19, 2013 Author Posted October 19, 2013 Truly believing in Him is to follow Him and to be of His will in all things and not as the popular theology of just believe is held. I know Dr. Waite is referring to this position of believing. Will drop a quote of EGW and her assessment of the false doctrine of "just believe." "Just Believe."--We shall meet with false doctrines of every kind, and unless we are acquainted with what Christ has said, and are following His instruction, we shall be led astray. One of the most dangerous of these doctrines is that of false sanctification. There are those who claim to be holy, and yet are breaking God's commandments. Their assertion that they are sinless is false and should not be received. . . . {Ev 595.2} Another doctrine that will be presented is that all that we have to do is to believe in Christ--to believe that He has forgiven our sins, and that after we are forgiven, it is impossible for us to sin. This is a snare of Satan. It is true that we must believe in Christ. He is our only hope of salvation. But it is also true that we must work out our individual salvation daily in faith, not boastingly but with fear and trembling. We are to use every power of our being in His service, and after we have done our utmost, we are still to regard ourselves as unprofitable servants. Divine power will unite with our efforts, and as we cling to God with the hand of faith, Christ will impart to us His wisdom and His righteousness. Thus, by His grace, we shall be enabled to build upon the sure foundation."--Manuscript 27, 1886. {Ev 595.3} Folks it is a must that we have that imparted wisdom and righteous of Him. He is working on a "building" in us and we must work with Him! Satan and his believe and tremble but note where they have headed, ReΒ 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Gibs Posted October 20, 2013 Author Posted October 20, 2013 The true Gospel only allows for becoming overcomers. The false denies that, ReΒ 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. Jesus said that and I would suggest we take up the True gospel and not be taken of the second death. Quote A Freeman In Jesus Christ
ClubV12 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Mark had one gospel, Matthew another and Luke yet another! Gospel meaning their testimony, details that were important to them. Each of these men were in perfect agreement, they just filled in different details of the same events. The problem is, "man", who like to see something different than what the gospel authors saw. Thus creating false gospels of every wind of doctrine. CoAspen is very right, WHO shall we believe? Choose your counselors as if digging for treasure, lots of fools gold out there. Quote
Samie Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 In a nutshell, this is the Pure Gospel according to Scriptures, the everlasting gospel our Savior wanted preached unto all the world before He comes again (Matt 24:14): Quote: Sin separated us from God (Isa 59:2), and we were dead in sin (Eph 2:1). Being dead in sin, we cannot do anything good (Jer 13:23), like believing, repenting, etc. Left alone, we can do NOTHING to extricate ourselves from the condition we were in. God, knowing we can do NOTHING unless attached to His Son (John 15:5), sent His Son to this world, to give it life (John 6:33). The wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23). Man must die to pay for his sin committed. But if man himself dies for his own sin, he would have paid for his sin God hates, but God would have eternally lost the sinner He loves. God made a way so that man may be able to pay for his own sin and at the same time be given hope of life eternal. On the cross, God made a new man: Christ the Head; humanity - Jews & Gentiles - the Body, with the intent of reconciling both Jews and Gentiles to Himself (Eph 2:11-19). When the Head died, the Body died likewise (2 Cor 5:14, 15), and all sins - past, present, future - were forgiven (Col 2:13, 14), and in the process, washed us all clean from sin (Rev 1:5), sanctified in His sight (Heb 10:10), and we were all reconciled to God (Rom 5:10,11). When the Head resurrected, we were resurrected together with Him (Eph 2:4-5), and we were born again to a living hope (1 Pet 1:3). Led by the Holy Spirit(Rom 8:14; Phil 2:13), we are ready to live the life of an overcomer (Rom 12:21), under the terms of the New Covenant, with His laws written in our hearts and minds (Heb 10:16). Having been made alive, we can now believe, repent, decide to be baptized, etc., and do that which the Head wants the Body to do (Eph 2:10; Titus 3:8). We are able to do what the Head wants because we are attached to Him Who is our Strength (Phil 4:13), empowered to bear the fruit of the Spirit (John 15:4,5; Gal 5:22,23). When we commit any sin, the sin currently committed having been forgiven on the cross, is not imputed against us (2 Cor 5:18, 19). In fact, God had said He will remember our sins no more (Heb 10:17). The act of not imputing any sin currently committed is Christ's act of continually justifying man, having been raised for our justification (Rom 4:25) and propitiation for sins committed (1 John 2:1, 2). As High Priest in the heavenly sanctuary, He ever liveth to make intercession for us (Heb 7:25), justifying us whenever we commit any sin so that sin cannot have dominion over us anymore (Rom 6:14). We are then not burdened with sin in our lifetime as we fight the good fight of faith (1 Tim 6:12), and become overcomers in the end, for only overcomers will not be blotted out from the book of life (Rev 3:5). When Christ returns to reward every man according to what each has done (Matt 16:27; Rev 22:12), the overcomers will be rewarded with life eternal; all others will suffer the wrath of God and finally, thrown into the lake of fire (Rom 2:5-8; Rev 21:27; Rev 20:15). May we all join hands together in preaching the pure gospel so our Lord & Savior can come to claim us His own and be with Him throughout eternity. In Christ, Samie Quote

In the case of forgiven sin, the condition is you remain faithful unto death, or the grieving of the Holy Spirit (spiritual death). ClubV12 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 I said, in my above post... "IF so, that is fools gold." The question remains. It is unclear whether you mean once saved always saved, or not. It's an honest question, note the "IF" statement. Samie says, "...all sins - past, present, future - were forgiven." Sure sounds like, "once saved, always saved". Which is NOT the gospel the bible teaches. Quote
Samie Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 The answer to your question, Bro. Club, is in my post. Had you read it in its entirety with a balanced understanding, you would not have asked. Sadly, it appears that because I had tried to warn you in the other thread of your error, as a brother would, you allowed animosity to cover your eyes so you could see the answer in my post even before you asked. Quote
ClubV12 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Your right Samie, I did not have to ask, the answer is obvious. Once saved always saved is just another one of your many false doctrines. Quote
Samie Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 Well, you are entitled to your own opinion, Bro Club. But I just warn you as a brother. Readers of this thread who have likewise read my post could see your post in a bad light and would reflect negatively on your person. Again, as I have said in the other thread, I don't preach "OSAS". Instead, I preach that God saved us all from sin but only overcomers will inherit eternal life. You know what it means to be an overcomer, because Scriptures admonish us to overcome evil with good (Rom 12:21). Understand my post, brother, and overcome the evil of animosity. Quote
ClubV12 Posted October 20, 2013 Posted October 20, 2013 You say all sin, past, present AND FUTURE is forgiven for those who you call, "overcomers". Gibs uses that term a lot as well, maybe it's some "code word" for some elite spiritual group far above the capacity of mere regular Christians to understand. I dunno... By any definition process, forgiveness of FUTURE SIN is the false doctrine of once saved, always saved. Quote

Samie Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 The brand of gospel many preach today presupposes that unless a man first believes he cannot be attached to the body of Christ. It appears then that while still separate from Christ, he can do SOMETHING: he can believe. But Christ has said that apart from Him, we can do NOTHING: ESV John 15:5 I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. The fact that people can now perform the act of believing signifies people now can do SOMETHING and therefore proves they are already attached to the body of Christ. Believing is proof we are attached to Christ, not requisite for attachment. To teach that believing is requisite for attachment, is just like requiring the unconscious to go see the doctor so he can be revived. And in sin, we were not only unconscious: we were dead (Eph 2:1). God had to make us alive first (Col 2:13), so we can believe. He did this through His Son on the cross when He fashioned humanity into the body of His Son (Eph 2:11-19). And when Jesus resurrected we were resurrected together with Him (Eph 2:4-6), born again into a living hope (1 Pet 1:3) already attached to Him Who is our Strength (Phil 4:13). We can now believe, repent, etc. and do whatever the Head wants His body to do (John 14:12; Eph 2:10; Titus 3:8). Those who follow the will of the Head are overcomers and their names will remain in the book of life (Rev 3:5). All others will be blotted out. And when Christ comes again to reward every man according to what each has done (Matt 16:27; Rev 22:12), he will reward the overcomers with eternal life (John 10:27, 28) and be with Him wherever He is; all others will suffer the wrath of God and finally, thrown into the lake of fire (John 14:1-3; Rom 2:5-11; Rev 20:15; 21:27). It is about high time we preach the true gospel, the pure one, and hasten the return of our Savior. In Christ, Samie Quote
joeb Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 All future sin is not forgiven. Jesus died to ransom us back from the devil, and only those who choose accept His sacrifice, and live Godly lives, are reconciled to God. None of us were "in Christ" when He died on the cross. Christ became one of us for two reasons: 1. As a human being he became our kinsman, and as the only kinsman capable of purchasing us from the one to whom we had sold ourselves, He could buy us back. This law is called the law of inheritance and it was given by Christ to the Israelites. 2. Through His divine nature He could make power available to us that would enable us to overcome sin. Quote: As the sin bearer, and priest and representative of man before God, He [Christ] entered into the life of humanity, bearing our flesh and blood. The life is in the living, vital current of blood, which blood was given for the life of the world. Christ made a full atonement, giving His life as a ransom for us. He was born without a taint of sin, but came into the world in like manner as the human family. He did not have a mere semblance of a body, but He took human nature, participating in the life of humanity. According to the law Christ Himself gave, the forfeited inheritance was ransomed by the nearest of kin. Jesus Christ laid off His royal robe, His kingly crown, and clothed His divinity with humanity, in order to become a substitute and surety for humanity, that dying in humanity He might by His death destroy him who had the power of death. He could not have done this as God, but by coming as man Christ could die. By death He overcame death. The death of Christ bore to the death him who had the power of death, and opened the gates of the tomb for all who receive Him as their personal Saviour.βLetter 97, 1898. Quote: Of Christβs relation to His people, there is a beautiful illustration in the laws given to Israel. When through poverty a Hebrew had been forced to part with his patrimony, and to sell himself as a bond servant, the duty of redeeming him and his inheritance fell to the one who was nearest of kin. See Leviticus 25:25, 47-49; Ruth 2:20. So the work of redeeming us and our inheritance, lost through sin, fell upon Him who is βnear of kinβ unto us. It was to redeem us that He became our kinsman. Closer than father, mother, brother, friend, or lover is the Lord our Saviour. βFear not,β He says, βfor I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art Mine.β βSince thou wast precious in My sight, thou hast been honorable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life.β Isaiah 43:1, 4. Desire of Ages p. 327 The study of the law of inheritance shows the error of the "in Christ" motif, as well as many of the other errors that are creeping into our church. Samie Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 Bro Joeb; How do you define "error"? Would you call "error" that which are in accordance with Scriptures? When Scriptures say God has "forgiven us all our transgressions" (NASB Col 2:13), what Biblically-based reason do you have to exclude future sins? In Christ, Samie Quote
ClubV12 Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 This reminds me of the meth heads I recently had to remove through the legal process from a rental. The Judge ordered mediation. In mediation the meth heads could not wrap their head around WHY the damage to the house (holes in the wall, garbage in the yard) was somehow their fault. Try as she might, the lady lawyer mediator, could not get them to understand that. They were in such deep delusion they, apparently sincerely, could not understand why they had to pay for damages. Thats pretty much where we are at with this issue on future sins already forgiven. Some folks "get it" and realize the impossible nature of such a concept. Some folks are in such a condition they sincerely cannot follow the logic. As Sister White noted, some folks are and will be sincere..ly mistaken. Quote
Samie Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 This is where Scriptures come in. Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. Future sins forgiven? It is always easy to get the error; hard to find the truth, Bible Truth: NASB Colossians 2:13 And when you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions Scriptures tell us ALL sins forgiven. Why change the ALL to SOME by excluding future sins? And for those who insist on unbiblical basis, just a brotherly warning: 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 ... because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie In Christ, Samie Quote
Moderators Gerr Posted October 22, 2013 Moderators Posted October 22, 2013 ESVΒ |Β Γ½Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, Γ½9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Quote
Samie Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 As shown in many of my posts, the Bible is emphatic that all sins - past, present, future - were forgiven on the cross. There are those who cannot believe this truth. Let us give them the benefit of doubt. If, on the cross, future sins were not forgiven, then, all persons born after the cross after sinning for the very first time, 1. are separate from God 2. are not attached to Christ 3. are spiritually dead 4. can do NOTHING good 5. cannot believe 6. cannot ask forgiveness 7. are totally helpless So, what is the solution, so that they can be attached to Christ? Will anybody who believes future sins were not forgiven on the cross, give a Bible-based solution, if any? Did I hear someone say, "The solution is he must first believe". But how can he do the act of believing while separate from Christ who said we can do NOTHING when we are not attached to Him? Such is the dilemma with the brand of gospel popularly preached today. In contrast, the pure gospel has nothing of this dilemma. God attached us to His Son, forgave us all sins, made us alive, wrote His law in our hearts and mind, and will reward every man according to what each has done. Grace and obedience in a balanced presentation. Unlike the popular evangelical stance of "Faith Alone" resulting in disregard for the law of God. The pure gospel is simple, easy to understand, applies to all people regardless of religion, and topping it all, it is what the Bible teaches. In Christ, Samie Quote
