8thdaypriest Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Imagine trying to explain to 11 Galilean fishermen what a cell phone is. We today are closer to understanding mind to mind communication then they were. Just exactly HOW the LORD does this, we don't know. He just said, "I will be with you." How could Jesus say, "I'm going to talk with you." "Where ever two or more of you are gathered, I will be there with you." "I will never leave you or forsake you." "I am with you always, even to the end of this age." if He really meant that someone else - another Being - would be with them?? The expression "speak of myself" in the King James meant to speak on one's own authority. Jesus said many times that He spoke only what was given Him from His Father. He did not speak "of Himself". The fact that the Spirit which Christ would send, from His Father would "not speak of Himself" fits well with the Comforter being Christ. He is the one communicating with us. When the LORD said to the disciples "a spirit does not have flesh as you see me have", He meant that He was not a ghost (a dead person devoid of a physical body). He was NOT dead. He was alive. He is alive. Blessings, Rachel Cory Prophecy Viewpoint Quote 8thdaypriest
