LifeHiscost Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 when God casts our sins into the deepest sea, He puts up a sign NO FISHING!In my situation, I have noticed that the more I praise God for His forgiveness and dwell in His presence with a joyful heart, the less Satan bombards me with thoughts of self recrimination. I'm of the opinion basing our future on God's promises, on He Who says He never changes, gives one far more peace than fixing our eyes on our baggage. OTOH, if we don't read the Word often enough to remember how best to cooperate with Him we can find life much more difficult. 165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them....Psalm 119 God is Love! 8thdaypriest Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 The dead of all classes that will go to heaven are taken there at the same time - 1Thess 4. At the 2nd coming. "This is the first resurrection" Rev 20:4-5. Your scenario has a group of dead people - destined for heaven but not taken at the 2nd coming 1Thess 4 event. What would be the point of that? Bob, I have posted quite often concerning my belief that those raised FIRST will become "priests of God and of Christ" to "reign on the earth" over "the nations" who are raised SECOND. I do not believe that all those from "the nations" are LOST (Isa 2:1-4, Mal 4:1-5) . I believe "the rest of the dead" will be those who lived and died in ignorance, due to immaturity, mental disability, or circumstances. They committed only "sins of ignorance" - which sins are always covered by the blood of Christ. I believe that all those who knowing reject the God of Israel, will be raised and judged and executed AT the Second Coming (Daniel 12:2-3). I do NOT believe they will be raised AGAIN, to be judged and executed AGAIN. Rachel Cory, prophecyviewpoint.com Quote 8thdaypriest
BobRyan Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 (edited) The wicked are all raised at the end of the 1000 years in Rev 20. In Rev 20 the only ones who are "blessed and holy" the only one "over whom the 2nd death has no power' are those who are raised in the first resurrection - not the second. As for Jews that have been rejecting Christ all these centuries - they are raised once at the end of the 1000 years. I don't see anyone explaining the point in NOT raising someone from the dead who would be going to heaven - at the first resurrection. LifeHiscost Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 I don't see anyone explaining the point in NOT raising someone from the dead who would be going to heaven - at the first resurrection. Especially since, as I understand it, some of the worst offenders of the Lord's grace are raised to see Jesus come in His glory, when He takes His children home to the kingdom. Is anyone aware of that particular thought as it was expressed somewhere? God is Love! Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
