If I might add a comment. Lots of SDA's doubt EGW. And lots of non SDA's never had the opportunity to know the blessing of her writings.

But most folks miss the background of that quote, the part that says:

Let's begin by saying we must realize that the Bible states clearly line upon line have to  be place together. Also here a little and there a little util all fits. But we must not, I say this emphatically interpret the Bible, we must understand it. This is done through THE HOLY SPIRIT. Sad to say most do not rely on. Now I ask all did EGW write this or was this place in her writings. I not going to argue over it because what is factual, there is not a Scripture says individually that Satan will personate YAHSHUA! What I do agree with is in the Bible is many will claim in the last days that they will come in THE MESSIAH'S NAME. They will try to deceive many as Matt 24:5; Mark 13:6; Luke 21:18 This actually happening more today! But nowhere will you find in the Bible that Satan will personate HIM or tell people to keep Sunday over the Sabbath. It is not in there at all and I sad to say a myth by the Adventist Church! This book has numerous of errors and he had problems with ELOHIM and EGW tried to warn him. He on the other dispose her and sent her Australia to keep her quite. ELOHIM allow this to happen for the next important book she wrote. This book had the message of truth and it was for the ministers, and our Gospel workers. These are the leaders of our church have said "Thus said YAHWEH, when HE have not spoken." Eze 22:25-28  We today have accepted "doctrines and traditions of men." Matt 15:9

In this book Testimonies to the Ministers and Gospel workers she clearly states how to the study the Bible. She also states that when error is shown we not be concern by whom it is advocated but is IS THE MESSAGE OF TRUTH!. She went on to state clearly about there will be less said about the pope when we as a people start truly understanding Daniel and Revelation. She said when this is truly understood a reformation will begin in this Church. NOW IS THAT TIME!

He will burn all the Bibles and here is the mystery being reveal. He will go after the Papacy. He and the papacy will have war, the people of YAHWEH will scatter and be protected during this short time. Probation will have close But after the Bible destruction the Two Witness will appear for all to see. It is the hidden Ark of the Covenant that will finally arise hidden in the earth. Once again YAHWEH'S Law will show the world that nothing has been changed from HIS Law. This Ark because of its Sacredness will be taken back to Heaven.

The papacy will have taken over Jerusalem, erected a temple that the beast will posses. He will take it through war known as the battle of Armageddon and he will win. The papacy's believers will not have the mark of the beast because they will claim themselves to the so call Christians and have they think ELOHIM'S city Jerusalem! The problem will be food! This Jerusalem has fail and now it has become Babylon, which also have oppose ELOHIM in truth. They will rebuild the Temple on the very area that's ELOHIM PRESENCE was there in THE MOST HOLY PLACE. The last and final time the Wrath of both YAHWEH and YAHSHUA will be poured out. Dan 12:10, 11; Matt 24:15

Because the Papacy plan is to be ELOHIM that is not going to happen! But ELOHIM'S plans and THE FATHER'S Will shall be implemented by the beast. He will make war on the papacy and Jerusalem/Babylon will be utterly destroyed. Get this by USA who the Jews are suppose to be loved by. USA will nuke it and the Angel of ELOHIM will take a millstone, causing this city to cast into the sea. This is to prepare for the New Jerusalem and it will all be done by the beast. Those who have his mark will be able to buy food, those on opposing side will not and YAHWEH'S people will have scatter and taken care of with bread and water. Dan 12:7 The beast will sit in the Temple that will not be destroyed, amazing!

Then as soon as this war is over, here come YAHSHUA as a thief in the night! Then the talent of ice will fall and both the beast and USA, the false prophet will be cast into the Lake of Fire. All of the rest of the beast army flesh will be eaten by the birds. Satan, for the first time will be bound and place in prison along with his angels until after the saint judge the wicked or their love ones to see why they didn't make it. Once done Heaven will move to earth, first the New Jerusalem that will come down the saints and THE FATHER and THE HOLY SPIRIT will be there with YAHSHUA. HE will now judge and give out the executive judgment. Satan, his angels, the wicked will all be there to receive it. They will all see why they did not make it and bow before YAHSHUA, THE FATHER and THE HOLY SPIRIT to make it clear that THE THREE are ELOHIM and must be worshipped. Joemo: I would hope that you and others would paste it and study it a little at a time. I do not understand about the grammar if I have made a mistake please inform me. I do believe that Islam is in the Bible but here is what it said:

I understand that this is Islam but do you know what this mean and what time these four angels were commanded to be release and why? Islam has paid an important part in prophecy, but they are not the little stout horn that is the papacy and it has attempt to change YAHWEH'S time and Laws. It is the whore and she is riding on the beast and he will destroy her and Jerusalem. Keep in mind that there are other religions of the world that will all vanish if you truly understand Daniel and Revelation. Did you know that President Obama was meant to be the President for this very time, I did. I told it to many before he even ran for office. Not that I am so great but I study the Bible. We have truly as a Church overlooked Daniel Chapter 11 because the the king of the north and south moved to include others areas which also included the Ottoman Empire which is Islam as well and how it is to play in the end of time which includes the Scripture up above.

And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. Rev 16:12

If the papacy is truly the beast power (which I did believe for almost 30 years), we will know soon enough.  If Islam is the beast power, we will know soon enough.  They both have a definite role to play.

I became motivated to look at eschatology through a Muslims eyes; and was astounded how their eschatology almost exactly matched Biblical eschatology; except the good guys and bad guys were switched.  The more I studied it, the more convicted I became that radical Islam (not the whole religion - just the jihadists which number over a hundred million world-wide) is the beast power; and the antichrist will somehow come out of Islam or Judaism.

Don't forget that the Eastern Orthodox Church and Istanbul considered themselves to be the Roman Empire until they were conquered by the Ottomans in the 15th century.  Maybe the Roman Empire didn't die in the 4th century after all.

The Bible is mostly a book written by Jews to Jews about events in the Middle East.  Isn't it possible that the events of Revelation will center around the Middle East until the trumpets of Revelation start to blow? Possibly even until the woes (5th thru 7th trumpets) start to fall?  No doubt that the 7 bowls are worldwide.

Again, you are a "watcher". And as a watcher, it is your God-given responsibility to share the insight you gain through study and "watching".  As a watcher myself, I have considered some things that turned out to be wrong.  I'd rather share those ideas and be wrong rather than possibly keep them to myself and be right.

Joe first of all the Bible does not say that the beast is the Papacy. Our pioneers took up this idea from the Protestant world and not from the Bible. It is pretty common knowledge that when you are tense, the best thing to do is to take a deep breath. Neshimah is similar to "nashav" to blow (Isaiah 40:7) though "nashav" is only blowing and not taking anything in which can lead to "kotzer neshima" or breathlessness. In any case, just remember Friday afternoon an hour before Shabbat when your son shows up with two friends which he forgot to warn you about - take a deep breath!

My comments:

Without God's "spirit" (breath), our physical bodies have no life.  The penalty for sin was "dying you will die".  Which to me means that we loose the "spirit" of God, without which we cannot continue to live - certainly not forever. 

Romans 8:10 "However, if the Messiah is in you, then, on the one hand, the body is dead because of sin; but, on the other hand, the Spirit is giving life because God considers you righteous" (CJB).

There's a big "IF" in there - "If Messiah is in you".  Which means Christ does NOT dwell in every human being.  He "knocks" - yes, but most do not "open the door" (Rev 3:20). 

John 3:16  "God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten on, that whosoever believes in Him, might not perish, but have eternal life." 

Eternal LIFE is contrasted with PERISH.  Perish means to be completely destroyed.

Some use "perish" as a METAPHORE for "eternal misery in hell".  That doesn't make it concretely so.

I agree that Adam became a "living being" - a breather. 

I agree that living beings "sleep" (remain in a state of unconscious) until they are resurrected at the return of Jesus.  At that resurrection, some receive a "spiritual body".  Others are resurrected in physical bodies, and are then judged and DIE AGAIN.   This physical type of death is NOT the "second death" in the special "lake of fire" "prepared for the Devil and his angels".  The "second death" is a different type or kind of death. 

The wording of Genesis 2:7, that "the LORD God" breathed into Adam's nostrils "the breathe of life", does NOT suggest a Trinity - to me.  It suggests that ONE BEING - the Son of God, breathed His breath (His spirit) into Adam - and Adam lived.  The original SOURCE of that spirit (that life) was God the Father, who had shared His spirit with His own son. 

The spirit did not do the breathing.  The LORD God did the "breathing" of His own spirit (or life).

I realize that one subject leads into another, and another, and another.  A person can start a new thread as one thread gets muddied, but the new thread won't contain all the great posts - on the first topic - from the old thread.  That's the shame - for folks wanting to follow a subject.   

I agree that proving the human "soul" has always existed and will be immoral (either in heaven or in "hell"), would derail a pre-advent "investigative judgment", but why would it derail an attempt - by Satan - to appear as Christ, in order to deceive the masses into worship of him? 

What is Satan's motive, in counterfeiting Christ's return? 

A.  Is Satan attempting to convince heavenly beings that this earth should legally belong to him forever.  And to do that, he must have those humans (to whom this earth was given) worship him. 

B.  Is Satan seeking to cause most humans to be "lost", because they break God's law through worship of him - rather than the real Christ. 

(Unconscious sin is automatically "covered" until the sinner comes to understand that what he did was in fact, sin.  So I don't think that the act of worshiping a being they BELIEVE to be Christ would qualify as an "unforgivable sin".) 

C.  Is Satan seeking to cause most remaining humans to be "lost" because they break God's law?  When Satan appears - pretending to be Christ - I believe he will obviously and boldly "change" God's law.  Those who "worship" Satan (believing him to be Christ) will face a TEST concerning the "law of God".   Those who know God's law, will "see" that this being cannot be Jesus. 

PS:  I do NOT believe in a pre-advent "investigative judgment".  Jesus said, "I know my sheep".  He lives in those who believe.  Certainly He knows every person with whom He has a relationship.  He KNOWS at any given moment, who is a friend and who is not.  He KNOWS everything that each individual has done (just like the woman at the well).  He doesn't need to "investigate" anyone's record, or look through any "books".  Only humans or angels - beings without omniscience, would need to do that.

I sad to say you are so mistaken and you are not following the Bible at all Joe. You are so caught in this Islam mess that you can't see what is about to take place. I provided you evidence that it is not about Islam, the papacy or the beast it is about the 144,000 who will finish the work. What you fail to realize that man would continue a down hill spiral over all of these radical religious ideologies which are all false. You are stuck on Islam now with the delight of Satan, and I am striving to get all to wake up. THE CREATORS of this world are putting a check on us all. Islam will dry up and you will not stop it and I believe that. I am not concern with any of this mess like you. Why? Because I am more concern with preparing to stand for ELOHIM like Moses. History does not change it intensify and become worst. You are worry about Isis, while the beast behind the scene is become the main theme. This fight has always been about that little strip of land called Canaan. This land was once a part of Eden and you just don't seem to get it! All want that land and who is in the middle of that land-old Jerusalem now have become Babylon. It has been fought over for centuries by religious empires. Islam and Christianity have fought crusades over it as well. It has been protected by ELOHIM for centuries. Now what do you think Satan does make it rich with oil and put a group a people to go again one religion and each other. Now being global we see and hear it all! Do you actually think that ELOHIM is not involve? You need to read Joe:

You better be concern about your soul and be prepare for the soon coming doom by ELOHIM'S hand on this earth. Isis cannot match what is about to happen from the wrath of YAHWEH and THE LAMB. Amen, Marri! Thanks for bringing us back to this point.  In the end, the important thing is to prepare to stand for ELOHIM, no matter what the scenario.  Whether it is a fallen US, the RCC, Islam, or any other fallen power, our objective should be to always stand for ELOHIM and YESHUA, at all times in all circumstances.  The beast and antichrist identity will ultimately take care of itself; but to whom we give our unconditional allegiance - YESHUA or the beast - whomever that may be - is up to us; and will determine our eternal fate.  We need to be like David and face the giants whomever they may be - standing on the Word of ELOHIM!

I will make this very simple, it is not in the Bible. This not how the end was giving and the Bible tells how things will happen. Satan wants you to think any and every thing against how the end will be. He only appear an an angel of light even Paul stated that. So what we have to do is to figure out why do we hang on to myths and trust me they are all about him opposing truth! I will apologize but my main goal is one lie lead to another and then we have many lie. YAHWEH also said HE make us delusional to believe a lie. When will we learn to unravel the mess we have entangle ourselves in is because we need to give up all the things we know are true. Maybe like THEIR SUBTITLE NAMES are not god, but ELOHIM. Maybe THE FATHER'S NAME is YAHWEH and that THE SON NAME is that too during the Old Testament. Maybe HE had come in HIS FATHER'S NAME and we as Adventist the one who suppose to have the message refuses to accept it as well. Maybe because we call THE HOLY SPIRIT a ghost and cannot get to THE FATHER or THE SON if we disrespect HIM. Maybe if we just think I like my name to stated right and we are just created being they we should HALLOW THE FATHER'S NAME!

Well praise be to ELOHIM. Now Joe we can't stop there we have to correct some errors because ELOHIM will not raise up another church. It is us, who must repair the breach. It is us who must dismiss the myths we have that has cause a callus or growth in our church that must be remove. I am truly looking for those who truly want to be save to start discussing our belief seriously including Ellen Writings to see if thee things are so. We must put on our armor for the battle that coming with the papacy first during the Time of Trouble. We will have power like no one has ever had before to stand around the world to finish the work and bring in the Great Multitude of souls around the world. This Joe will be done for all to choose one way or another to either obey ELOHIM  or to follow Satan. He will not personate THE MESSIAH, he does not have the time. He wants us Adventist not be wise and so that many of will not do this:

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. Dan 12:3  

These are the wise virgins that YAHSHUA was talking about and John also was given. These are the 144,000 that EGW saw in her very first vision. Wake up everyone, are you the five wise or  have you become the five foolish. These five virgins will become the remnant and gather in the Harvest of the great multitude. You see that is why we Adventist should not be keeping not the feast days. That word feast is a pagan word. We should be keeping the Holy Convocation which was given in Gen 1:14. So I am looking for those who will take a stand and begin to study with prayer to change and get ourselves ready to prepare and repair the breach!

Dear Marri,

I am willing to stand up for anything that can or cannot stand up to the test of scripture.  That being said, I cannot stand up for all that proceeded from the pen of Ellen White unless it is backed up in scripture.  It's not a subject to continue in this topic.  I stand on the sovereignty of the Bible alone; and consider the writings of EGW a lesser (and in some areas flawed) light - but that's just me. I'm not saying she did not have a prophetic gift; - she did.   I'm saying that IMHO her interpretation of her visions, when filtered through the baggage of her culture and times, was sometimes flawed.

You have a way of saying others are wrong and you are right.  This is an inflammatory stance.  I know from personal experience.  Neither of us is the sole repository of the truth.  I'm happy with saying that you and I don't see things the same way.  I will NOT say you are wrong; I will only say that I don't see things the way you do.  I am old enough to know I could be wrong in my views.  I have been wrong before; and I reserve the right to be wrong again.  But ... you might be wrong, also.  We both might be wrong.  Prophecy will unfold the way it unfolds.

All that being said - I am grateful to you for bringing back the most important point.  We must all unconditionally stand for God - just like Moses did - regardless of whether or not satan impersonates Christ, or how/when he does it if he does.

Are you "Jewish"? or "Mormon" ?  Mormons believe human souls exist in "heaven" before doing a rotation (so-to-speak) into a human body for testing, before returning to "heaven" if they have been righteous.   

Up until about 200 years ago, nearly all (religious) Jews believed in reincarnation --or Gilgul as it is called among the Jews. Only with the rise of modernist Jewish humanism (religious atheism, actually) has this idea become unpopular among Jews, found today only among very Orthodox Jews for the most part. Sadly, the overwhelming majority of Jews today (including religious Jews) have given up on God and are atheists and agnostics, though one can hardly blame the Jews for this.

There are differences, of course, between Jewish and Hindu reincarnation. Plant and animal spirits may become human, but not the reverse. (I find myself often touched by the prominent medieval --Orthodox-- rabbi who used to sing to his congregation a song which he told them he remembered enjoying when he had been a sheep in the flock of an ancient Jewish shepherd!)

Mormons, on the other hand, believe the same as Adventists, that the soul is a combination of body and spirit and that in death the soul ceases to exist, while the spirit of course remains as it did before, a less than fully human entity, not conscious (intelligent) in the human sense. Ask the Mormons.
