Which of these U.S. cities is the farthest west?

RENO NEVADA

Answer: Surprisingly, if you look at a map, you fill find that Reno is west of Los Angeles, San Diego, and Spokane. This is due to the shape of the states and the respective positions of these cities. Reno is about as far west as you can get in Nevada. Even though Los Angeles is a coastal city, due to California curving towards the east the further south that you go, the city is still east of Reno. Reno is the third most populous city in the state of Nevada, and known as "The Biggest Little City in the World". Reno is famous for its hotels and casinos and as the birthplace of Caesars Entertainment Corporation.

Black Panther

SNAPCHAT

Answer: Snapchat is a photo and video messaging application that allows friends and family to communicate via smartphones. The photos and videos disappear after 10 seconds or less. The time frame is chosen by the sender. Once the “snap” disappears, it’s no longer accessible. More recently, Snapchat released a feature called Snapchat Stories, which allows users to create a narrative of snaps that disappear in 24 hours. Snapchat's mascot is a ghost named “Ghostface Chillah” which is derived from Ghostface Killah of the hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan.

Answer: The men's major golf championships, also known simply as the majors, are the four most prestigious events in professional golf. The competitions are the Masters Tournament, the U.S. Open, The Open Championship and the PGA Championship. Jack Nicklaus has won the most majors, achieving 18 victories during his career. Second on the list is Tiger Woods, who has won 14 majors to date; his most recent major victory was at the 2008 U.S. Open. Walter Hagen is third with 11 majors; he and Nicklaus have both won the most PGA Championships with five.

GREEN EGGS AND  HAM

Answer: “Green Eggs and Ham” is a children's book by Dr. Seuss, first published on August 12, 1960. Dr. Seuss wrote “Green Eggs and Ham” on a bet that he couldn’t write a book with fifty or fewer distinct words. “Green Eggs and Ham” uses exactly 50 different words. The 50 words are: a, am, and, anywhere, are, be, boat, box, car, could, dark, do, eat, eggs, fox, goat, good, green, ham, here, house, I, if, in, let, like, may, me, mouse, not, on, or, rain, Sam, say, see, so, thank, that, the, them, there, they, train, tree, try, will, with, would, you. AL CAPONE

Answer: In 1934, one of America’s most notorious prisoners, gangster Al Capone, was carted off from an Atlanta penitentiary to the United States’ most cutting-edge prison: a maximum-security prison on Alcatraz Island in San Francisco Bay. So how did Al Capone spend his time while in the pen? Capone took up music and formed a small band, playing banjo in a band called “The Rock Islanders.” The band gave regular Sunday concerts for other inmates inside Alcatraz. Capone even wrote a love song, “Madonna Mia,” that was published posthumously in 2009.

TRICEATOPS

Answer: The Triceratops is easily one of the most recognizable dinosaurs with its three horns and bony frill around the back of its head. Its name is a combination of the Greek syllables tri-, meaning "three," kéras, meaning "horn," and ops, meaning "face." This dinosaur roamed North America about 67 million years ago, during the end of the Cretaceous Period. It bore a single horn on the snout, above the nostrils, and a pair of horns approximately 3.3 feet long, with one above each eye. Almost one third of the length of the Triceratops was its skull. A typical Triceratops was approximately 26 feet long, while its skull was approximately 7 feet long.

Answer: William Howard Taft was the 27th President of the United States, and inaugurated on this day in 1909. President William Howard Taft has the honor of being America's heaviest leader, weighing 354 pounds when he was inaugurated. Although “Big Bill” was the only man to serve as both U.S. president and Supreme Court chief justice, what most remember about Taft is that he supposedly became stuck in the White House bathtub. Beyond his weight, Taft is also remembered for being the first U.S. president to throw a pitch on the opening day of baseball season, and the first president whose funeral was broadcast on radio.

Answer: A googol is 10 to the 100th power and is written as the digit 1 followed by one hundred zeroes. The term was coined in 1920 by 9-year-old Milton Sirotta, nephew of U.S. mathematician Edward Kasner. The name of the search engine Google, originated from a misspelling of the word "googol", which was picked to signify that the search engine was intended to provide large quantities of information. In 2004, family members of Kasner, who had inherited the right to his book, were considering suing Google for their use of the term googol; however, no suit was ever filed.
