I'm pretty sure its not 37 miles? It has to be either 21 miles, which still seems a little to long, or 13 which kinda seems right? I say that because if I'm not mistaken when we used to drive from our house in the Bronx down to the church in Manhattan was around 20 miles?? So I'll go with 13 miles!! On business days, the influx of commuters increases this number to over 3.9 million. Manhattan Island is loosely divided into Downtown (Lower Manhattan), Midtown (Midtown Manhattan), and Uptown (Upper Manhattan), with Fifth Avenue dividing Manhattan lengthwise into its East Side and West Side. Manhattan Island is bounded by the Hudson River to the west and the East River to the east. To the north, the Harlem River divides Manhattan Island from the Bronx and the mainland United States. He has also thrown a pitch that reached 106 mph in a different game, but this speed has been disputed, so the current record sits at 105.1 mph. According to the Guinness World Records, Chapman made the pitch in September 2010 when he was pitching for the Cincinnati Reds in a game against the San Diego Padres. Chapman has been nicknamed the Cuban Flame Thrower and the Cuban Missile. For some elements, this is because the material was known in ancient times, while for others, the name is a more recent invention. For example, the Latin name for gold is aurum. Thus, the chemical symbol for gold is Au. The symbol for lead is Pb (plumbum in Latin); Hg is the symbol for mercury (hydrargyrum in Greek). Some symbols come from other sources, like W for tungsten (Wolfram in German) which was not known in Roman times. Although slightly smaller, the British ship disabled USS Chesapeake with gunfire within the first few minutes. As Captain James Lawrence lay dying on the deck of the Chesapeake, his famous last words were “Don’t give up the ship!” Defeated and captured, Captain Lawrence died in agony three days later and was buried with full honors by his captors in Halifax. Beethoven’s personal life was marked by a struggle against deafness, and some of his most important works were composed during the last 10 years of his life, when he was quite unable to hear. Beethoven began losing his hearing at just 26, and there is limited consensus surrounding the cause of his hearing loss. Many sources have listed his final last words as, "I shall hear in heaven," apropos his deafness.
