The parable of the unforgiving, unmerciful servant (?) Matthew 18:23-35 Quote Pam      Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Administrators Gail Posted June 12, 2009 Author Administrators Posted June 12, 2009 Exactly! Nice to see you, Pam! How does the parable of the talents differ numerically from the parable of the pennies (denarii)? Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted June 12, 2009 Members Posted June 12, 2009 How does the parable of the talents differ numerically from the parable of the pennies (denarii)? I'm not sure I understand the question. 8 talents were given out to 3 servants according to their abililties. The servant who owed the king owed him 10,000 denarii, and the servant owed the other servant 100 denarii. Quote Pam      Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Members phkrause Posted June 12, 2009 Members Posted June 12, 2009 Pam, I'm wondering if she's looking for a total amount of each? Good question though. pk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
