BibleShockers Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 >>>...They believe that only the 144,000 go to heaven and most of those are already in heaven as spirit-beings... I don't think that they think them to already be there. Anyway, those are actually the first flock of the faithful, the pre-Paul faithful Jews. These were originally God's flock, but he handed them over to Jesus. The gentiles, of great number, are the "other sheep." Quote Bill Ross

When they have their "memorial services," only those who believe they are of the 144,000 take of the wine and bread. Go to their services sometime. It is very interesting. Virtually no one takes part in it. Maybe one or two in the whole Kingdom Hall. When those who have a heavenly hope die, they are believed to be resurrected immediately as a spirit-being and they are taken to heaven. The number 144,000 was mostly filled up a long time ago. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Well, it is my opinion that per Paul it would be better every sectarian refrained (and that includes SDAs and JWs, along with Presbyterians, Baptists and what not...) and it would be better if they didn't even assemble! Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
