True-believer Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 The truth about the Ten Commandments Law of God… The earthly tabernacle or the Tent of Meeting had three compartments, the outer court, the holy place and the holy of holies place. The priest could only enter into the holy of holies once a year for sacrificial and forgiving people of their sins, but since then, we now have Jesus Christ born of a virgin in Bethlehem in the Town of David. In Exodus 40:34 it states that the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle, and Moses could not enter the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled upon it, and the glory of the Lord filled the Tabernacle. When Jesus was 30yrs He started His ministry, and when Jesus was 33yrs He was crucified on a Cross in which we drove Him to because of our sin. These are the steps Jesus took to set us free from sin and law: 1) God’s glorious presence was in the holy of holies, the Tent of Meeting, which included the Ark of the Covenant with the Ten Commandments inside and the Book of the Law on the side. 2) Exodus 26:33 says there is a very thick long curtain hanging from the clasps and the Ark of the Covenant was put behind the curtain. The curtain separates the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. There is an atonement cover on the Ark of the Covenant in the Most Holy Place. 3) When Jesus died on the Cross, Matthew 27:50-51 says that Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice and gave up His spirit. At that moment the curtain in the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. 4) 1 Timothy 2:5 says that there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus Christ, who gave of Himself as a ransom for all men. 5) The glorious presence of God through Jesus Christ that was in the Most Holy Place with the Ark of the Covenant now dwells within us. 6) The tabernacle or Tent of Meeting now dwells within us, we can now experience the fullness of God’s presence continually not only once a week or once a year but continually 24hrs 7days each, every week for the rest of your life. 7) Hebrews 8:1-2 clearly says Jesus is our great high Priest who serves in the true tabernacle set up by the Lord Himself, not by man. 8) We are the true tabernacle of the Lord, we can go to the high priest-Jesus and repent to Him and He will dwell within us forever. 9) Hebrews 9:24 clearly states Jesus is now dwelling in the true sanctuary which He entered heaven itself in God’s presence. 10) Luke 17:21 clearly states the Kingdom of God is within us. Summary of page one… Jesus is our High Priest who dwells in the true tabernacle set up by Himself for us. Jesus claims that the Kingdom of God is within us, the tabernacle, the House of Meeting is within us, since the curtain in the temple is now torn in two from top to bottom we know it wasn’t an act of man but by God Himself. The true tabernacle is within us, God is dwelling inside of each one of us. We now have complete access to Jesus Christ continually, all the time. So, we have the Most Holy Place in us, in our hearts, manifested within us. That means the Ark of the Covenant is within us, the Ten Commandments and the Book of the Law are all in our hearts, no longer in a book or on stone, but now they are in our hearts continually everyday. That curtain being torn in two from top to bottom now gives us complete access to God Himself and we can dwell in His presence continually. Since the Ten Commandments, Book of the Law is now in our hearts, what is different: Colossians 2:14 Having canceled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; He took it away, nailing it to the Cross. --our sin, the ministration of sin, condemnation—all nailed to the Cross. What about the seventh-day Sabbath in the fourth commandment? The Sabbath day is still there, but with no ministration of sin or condemnation attached to it anymore. But, instead of meeting with the Lord Jesus once a week or once a year, we now have the privilege of being in the glorious presence of Jesus Christ continually everyday, always with the Lord dwelling inside of us for all eternity, so the one Sabbath day each week is NOT binding on us because we are continually in His presence for all time, forever. This means our only hope from the fall of Adam to today - has been the work of the Holy Spirit whereby Christ "Draws all mankind unto him" John 12:32 Gal 1:6-11 In ALL of time there has been only "ONE Gospel". Not two ways -- one way. Heb 4:1 "The Gospel was preached to US JUST as it was to THEM also". Heb 11 giants of faith - are all OT saints -- some of whom are now in heaven and went there long before Christ died on the cross. (Enoch, Moses, Elijah). Gal 3:7 - the Gospel WAS preached to Abraham John 8:50 -- Abraham saw My day and was glad. The New Covenent that we find in Heb 8 is a quote of the OT - shows us that the New Covenant is in fact "the ONE Gospel" of all time. From Eden's garden gate where the angel stood to bar access -- to the final act in Revelation. In all ages - the "saved experience" required the NEW BIRTH as Christ points out to Nicodemus in John 3 and even reprimands Nicodemus for pretending not to already know it. This means the Sabbath keeping saints of the OT were all under the New Covenant - all benefitting from the ONE Gospel that enabled them to be born-again. Christ did not nail the LAW to the Cross - in Col 2:14-15 we find that He nailed our "Certificate of DEBT" NASB -- the decrees against us -- like the speeding ticket -- but not like the 65MPH speed law. ----------------- The problem at the root that we have with most of our non-SDA brethren is that they "in practice" believe in TWO Gospels. If the "kingdom of God" and the "tabernacle" are used only in the senses as you have put forth, then the Second Coming of Jesus is NOT the blessed hope because He is already within us! Consider: a. "The whole point of what we are saying is that we have such a High Priest, who sits at the right of the throne of the Divine Majesty in heaven." None other than the 10 commandments! In the OT, the decalogue is often referred to as the "testimony". Yes, it stands enshrined in the holy of holies that will testify against law-breakers in the judgment day. 3. So what did Jesus mean in Lk 17:21, "behold, the kingdom of God is within you." KJV. Consider: a. Jesus was speaking to the unbelieving Pharisees. Do really think God's literal kingdom was within them? Christ's literal kingdom, the kingdom of glory will have the New Jerusalem in it, Rev 21. People will be building homes and planting vineyards in it, Isa. 65:17-23. Those living in it will even continue to keep the Sabbath!!! Isa 66:23. So there is also a kingdom of God that is NOT within the believer. b. So what did Jesus mean, "behold, the kingdom of God is within you?" I cannot possibly mean God's literal kingdom of glory is IN the believer. Those things I mentioned in (a.) could not possibly be found WITHIN the believer, much less the unbeliever. But God's kingdom can begin in the heart, in the same way we come into possession of righteousness - by faith! But what the scripture says about being put right with God through faith is this: “You are not to ask yourself, Who will go up into heaven?” (that is, to bring Christ down). 7“Nor are you to ask, Who will go down into the world below?” (that is, to bring Christ up from death). 8 What it says is this: “God’s message is near you, on your lips and in your heart”—that is, the message of faith that we preach. Catherine, you want me to clarify for you what I meant by the above statement? Ok... The meaning is... Yes we have the privilege of coming together each week on the seventh-day Sabbath, but... We also have the privilege of dwelling with God through Jesus and He with us on the Sabbath and Sunday and Monday and all the other days of the week. The blessings of the Sabbath now continues with us through the whole week. We can now tabernacle with Christ and He with us 24hrs 7days each and every week. The earthly tabernacle is a exact model with the spiritual//heavenly tabernacle that is within us, because Jesus says the Kingdom of God is within us. Instead of the fleshly tabernacle before Christ, we now can dwell spiritually in the new tabernacle--us--God in us and us in God--tabernacling with each other for all time. Oh, I am so GLAD. And I see that you have come up with the perfect answer for this man Kerry. While you are agreeing with what he is saying about the Sabbath not being binding, you can also tell him that since God has blessed this one day above all others, you WANT to be with His people on that day, to share in the blessing, and to show God you love him enough to want to share His special day with Him. Romans 8:1--Therefore there is now NO condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. All those people who believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior now have NO more condemnation because they are in Jesus forever... And yes Once Saved, Always Saved... True, but yet there are the warnings throughout the Bible! Remember Paul calls this hardness of the heart/mind "the deceitfulness of sin". Sin is a deceiver...it will tell you that you make mistakes, but that overall you are a good, moral person and that you don't need Christ because you are perfectly able to save yourself. Quote

Then if we don't need a Saviour please stop hoping of His second coming. We DON'T Have This Hope that burns within our hearts....................Since we don't get the point what's the purpose of His second coming. Ready for His soon coming? For what? It doesn't make any sense at all, if....there is none of His Law to be kept by His people. Please Jesus! "Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven"Matthew 5:19 KJV This does not say one is condemned but it obviously seems to indicate a less than enviable position. "For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it." James 2:10 NIV This thought clearly indicates we have replaced the first commandment, "Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and Him only thou shalt worship". And while it doesn't immediately appear to condemn, replacing the Lifegiver by a supposed replacement could only lead to death. All of the subsequent damage is a direct result of the effort to get rid of the need for worshipping on a special day as outlined in the 4th commandment. "Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me." John 5:39 KJV "But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’" Matthew 4:4 NKJV While it may not say we are condemned for ignoring this advice, at least in so many words (and to tell you the truth I don't believe that myself) we imperil our own future by walking contrary to the counsels of God, which in affect would be a false doctrine.
