Perhaps Haldog is referring to 1 Tim. 1: 9-11.

All those verses mean is that the law is for those who don't obey it. That's the way it is for all law. It's not saying that the righteous can violate the law of God. If they violate the law of God, they would no longer be righteous.

The definition of righteous and righteousness is conformity to God's law. Unrighteousness is disobedience to God's law. Notice that the verses contrast the righteous person with the lawless person.

A lawless person is one who lives as if there was no law.

A righteous person, who has God's law written on his heart and mind, doesn't need the law telling him what to do because he's already doing the right thing. He's like the person who doesn't need a policeman watching him and making sure he obeys the law. Who really needs the police? The criminals, or those who would disobey the law if the police weren't watching.

The law written upon the fleshly tablets of the heart is just another way of saying "Christ in you the hope of glory." Christ is the glory of the law. He is the law. He is the Word of God. When He dwells in the heart by faith He fills up the measure of the law's requirements and the result is that the sinner is enabled to keep every precept of the law. Christ is not the Minister of sin but of righteousness and righteousness is obedience to the law.

The letter of the law is for those who have not yet become one with Christ. "The letter kills." 2 Cor.3:6. It is a ministry of condemnation (2 Cor.3:9) and it points to Christ and to His merits as the remedy provided for sin. See F.W.100,101.

Those who look to Christ and trust wholly in His merits for pardon and peace and joy in the Holly Spirit become partakers of the life of the Infinite One and it is made manifest in obedience to all the commandments of God.

Christ is physical life to every man (Acts 17:28) but He is is not made the righteousness of God to a man unless by faith that man appropriates His merits to himself. Thus it is written, "The only faith that will benefit us is that which embraces Him as a personal Savior: which appropriates His merits to ourselves." D.A.347.
