Guest Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Hey Rich, don't you ever get tired of using that word eyewitnesses? You seem to put more faith in them than you do God. Jesus said: Have faith in God. Quote
LifeHiscost Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 And NO, Jesus did NOT come to save ALL of the people in the world from their sins, but only those who keep all of the ten commandments AND abide in the testimony (words) of Jesus given to us by His eyewitnesses. With that reasoning that pretty much excludes humanity from salvation. "For whosoever keeps the Law [as a] whole but stumbles and offends in one [single instance] has become guilty of [breaking] all of it."James 2:10 AMP their brackets LHC "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart."Matthew 5:28 NKJV I'm happy the following is true, and even with those that believe such as you both have described, as long as one has brain and breath to repent, there is hope. "If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His own nature and promises) and will forgive our sins [dismiss our lawlessness] and [continuously] cleanse us from all unrighteousness [everything not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought, and action]."1 John 1:9 AMP brackets theirs LHC "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope."Jeremiah 29:11 NKJV I know I needn't remind you, one does not have to rely on God's Word, unless he/she would have that Word fulfilled in their life. "...then hear in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause. "When they sin against You (for there is no man who does not sin) and You are angry with them and deliver them to an enemy, so that they take them away captive to the land of the enemy, far off or near; if they take thought in the land where they have been taken captive, and repent and make supplication to You in the land of those who have taken them captive, saying, 'We have sinned and have committed iniquity, we have acted wickedly'; if they return to You with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their enemies who have taken them captive, and pray to You toward their land which You have given to their fathers, the city which You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name; then hear their prayer and their supplication in heaven Your dwelling place, and maintain their cause," 1 Kings 8:45-49 NASB Underlined mine JOY!! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
Dr. Rich Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Not saying that everyone has sinned--that is why one must repent. But that does not add up that everyone will keep on sinning. Jesus told the women "go and sin no more". Was this possible? I believe so. What I pointed out is the wrong idea of Jesus coming to this world in order to die to save everyone. Read Matthew 15:24. Did Jesus lie when He said this? What don't you understand about the word "ONLY"? Quote
