Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 18, 2011 Members Posted March 18, 2011 I know many of you do not like Ann Coulter's writings. But she has her finger on the pulse of the radiation dangers from the nuclear plants. What she says here is exactly what I was taught in my Radiation Physics class. Quote: A Glowing Report on Radiation By Ann Coulter 3/16/2011 With the terrible earthquake and resulting tsunami that have devastated Japan, the only good news is that anyone exposed to excess radiation from the nuclear power plants is now probably much less likely to get cancer. This only seems counterintuitive because of media hysteria for the past 20 years trying to convince Americans that radiation at any dose is bad. There is, however, burgeoning evidence that excess radiation operates as a sort of cancer vaccine. As The New York Times science section reported in 2001, an increasing number of scientists believe that at some level -- much higher than the minimums set by the U.S. government -- radiation is good for you. "They theorize," the Times said, that "these doses protect against cancer by activating cells' natural defense mechanisms." Among the studies mentioned by the Times was one in Canada finding that tuberculosis patients subjected to multiple chest X-rays had much lower rates of breast cancer than the general population. And there are lots more! A $10 million Department of Energy study from 1991 examined 10 years of epidemiological research by the Johns Hopkins School of Public Health on 700,000 shipyard workers, some of whom had been exposed to 10 times more radiation than the others from their work on the ships' nuclear reactors. The workers exposed to excess radiation had a 24 percent lower death rate and a 25 percent lower cancer mortality than the non-irradiated workers. Isn't that just incredible? I mean, that the Department of Energy spent $10 million doing something useful? Amazing, right? In 1983, a series of apartment buildings in Taiwan were accidentally constructed with massive amounts of cobalt 60, a radioactive substance. After 16 years, the buildings' 10,000 occupants developed only five cases of cancer. The cancer rate for the same age group in the general Taiwanese population over that time period predicted 170 cancers. The people in those buildings had been exposed to radiation nearly five times the maximum "safe" level according to the U.S. government. But they ended up with a cancer rate 96 percent lower than the general population. Bernard L. Cohen, a physics professor at the University of Pittsburgh, compared radon exposure and lung cancer rates in 1,729 counties covering 90 percent of the U.S. population. His study in the 1990s found far fewer cases of lung cancer in those counties with the highest amounts of radon -- a correlation that could not be explained by smoking rates. Tom Bethell, author of the "Politically Incorrect Guide to Science," has been writing for years about the beneficial effects of some radiation, or "hormesis." A few years ago, he reported on a group of scientists who concluded their conference on hormesis at the University of Massachusetts by repairing to a spa in Boulder, Mont., specifically in order to expose themselves to excess radiation. At the Free Enterprise Radon Health Mine in Boulder, people pay $5 to descend 85 feet into an old mining pit to be irradiated with more than 400 times the EPA-recommended level of radon. In the summer, 50 people a day visit the mine hoping for relief from chronic pain and autoimmune disorders. Amazingly, even the Soviet-engineered disaster at Chernobyl in 1986 can be directly blamed for the deaths of no more than the 31 people inside the plant who died in the explosion. Although news reports generally claimed a few thousand people died as a result of Chernobyl -- far fewer than the tens of thousands initially predicted -- that hasn't been confirmed by studies. Indeed, after endless investigations, including by the United Nations, Manhattan Project veteran Theodore Rockwell summarized the reports to Bethell in 2002, saying, "They have not yet reported any deaths outside of the 30 who died in the plant." Even the thyroid cancers in people who lived near the reactor were attributed to low iodine in the Russian diet -- and consequently had no effect on the cancer rate. Meanwhile, the animals around the Chernobyl reactor, who were not evacuated, are "thriving," according to scientists quoted in the April 28, 2002 Sunday Times (UK). Dr. Dade W. Moeller, a radiation expert and professor emeritus at Harvard, told The New York Times that it's been hard to find excess cancers even from Hiroshima and Nagasaki, particularly because one-third of the population will get cancer anyway. There were about 90,000 survivors of the atomic bombs in 1945 and, more than 50 years later, half of them were still alive. (Other scientists say there were 700 excess cancer deaths among the 90,000.) Although it is hardly a settled scientific fact that excess radiation is a health benefit, there's certainly evidence that it decreases the risk of some cancers -- and there are plenty of scientists willing to say so. But Jenny McCarthy's vaccine theories get more press than Harvard physics professors' studies on the potential benefits of radiation. (And they say conservatives are anti-science!) I guess good radiation stories are not as exciting as news anchors warning of mutant humans and scary nuclear power plants -- news anchors who, by the way, have injected small amounts of poison into their foreheads to stave off wrinkles. Which is to say: The general theory that small amounts of toxins can be healthy is widely accepted --except in the case of radiation. Every day Americans pop multivitamins containing trace amount of zinc, magnesium, selenium, copper, manganese, chromium, molybdenum, nickel, boron -- all poisons. They get flu shots. They'll drink copious amounts of coffee to ingest a poison: caffeine. (Back in the '70s, Professor Cohen offered to eat as much plutonium as Ralph Nader would eat caffeine -- an offer Nader never accepted.) But in the case of radiation, the media have Americans convinced that the minutest amount is always deadly. Although reporters love to issue sensationalized reports about the danger from Japan's nuclear reactors, remember that, so far, thousands have died only because of Mother Nature. And the survivors may outlive all of us over here in hermetically sealed, radiation-free America. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Moderators Bravus Posted March 18, 2011 Moderators Posted March 18, 2011 Did you read the USGS page? They addressed a lot of these issues. There are just many hundreds more seismographs now than there used to be, and better communications. Of the earthquakes you list, many do not include their strength on the Richter scale, so there is no way of telling what the cutoff is for 'significant'. The results are slightly different if we graph only those above 7.0, for example, versus only those above 8.0. Quote Truth is important
Moderators Bravus Posted March 18, 2011 Moderators Posted March 18, 2011 This page is helpful in looking from 1980-2010. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eqarchives/year/graphs.php Quote Truth is important
Moderators Bravus Posted March 18, 2011 Moderators Posted March 18, 2011 I started running some stats and graphs on those data, but had to head out the door. More later. At a first approximation it looked like the 80s were quieter than average and the 90s and 00s are stable closer to the long term average. Quote Truth is important
Moderators Bravus Posted March 18, 2011 Moderators Posted March 18, 2011 Righto, here's the key graph from that data-set: earthquakes greater than 7 on the Richter Scale since 1980. The graph for earthquakes greater than 6, which I also did, shows a similar story. It superficially looks like a rise, and a regression line through the whole graph shows a rise. The one through the past two decades shows a flat trendline - no rise. The more telling point is that the USGS says the long term average, going back as far as records go, is 18 earthquakes of this magnitude per year. The 1908s were particularly quiescent, with an average around 10, the 90s and 00s got back closer to average, but their mean is still closer to 15 than 18. In historical terms it's clear that the number of earthquakes is constant or decreasing, not increasing. Quote Truth is important

Guest truthseeker007 Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Hey John i totally agree with you, from a 2000 years old perspective, it becomes clear that big earthquakes are more and more frequent. I think that the more wicked this planet becomes, the more God will let the destroyer do its work. In a sense, people themselves have brought these judgements upon themselves. John you are the only one on this board i have never had a disagreement with. I think we think alike. And Bravus, if you want to make a valid point, you should use a graph with a timespan of 2000 years, not +-30 years. Quote
Moderators Bravus Posted March 18, 2011 Moderators Posted March 18, 2011 I used all the data that were available to me: if you have access to the seismograph data from the 12th (and 2nd) century I'd be delighted to graph it. Quote Truth is important
cricket Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I, too, would be delighted to see that seismograph data. Unfortunately I don't think the technology existed at that time--nor the wherewithal to think that recording such activity was important. Quote
ClubV12 Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I am amazed at the number of posts, in various threads, minimizing this disaster. The cry of "peace and safety" emmanating from this forum is staggering in it's recklessness. The outright REFUSAL of some to even acknowledge the possibility this is God related blows me away. Ann Coulters article? Barely worth a comment, it's complete bunk. Earth quake charts? They thumb their nose at the prophet! Unbeleivable how so many here, where I least suspected I would find it, are totally absorbed in the cry, "peace of safety". Wow,,, carry on. I don't know that such people bent so heavily toward denial CAN be woken up, no matter what disasters are to come. No matter how desperate the situation gets. They partied right up to the time it began raining during the flood. Chastising Noah and calling him a fool. The scientist of the time, no doubt using charts, explaining how it had never rained before and was impossible. So it will be in the last days, party on, no problems, God is not at work, everything is fine. We have "charts" to prove it, Ann Coulter to back it up and good science that explains it away. ",,,and sudden destruction comes upon them". I'm not sorry for my "fear mongering", I'll be quiet now and leave you alone, the message, by and large has been rejected here. But my hands are clean, I have done my duty, the warning has been given. The Japanese Government has asked the people to "pray". At least THEY have a clue their god(s) need to be taken into account. Pray to whom or what? Buddah is powerless to help them. Quote

SivartM Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Unbeleivable how so many here, where I least suspected I would find it, are totally absorbed in the cry, "peace of safety".Who said that it was safe? All I saw was the idea that movements of the earth's crust are best analyzed by seismology rather than speculation. Quote "Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much." - Oscar WildeDo to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets." - Jesus
ClubV12 Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 God's love is also demonstrated in the destruction of those who would oppose Him, who oppose His laws. For whatever reason you "refuse to come Christ", it is a serious mistake. The choice is a "one" or a "zero", it is black or white, yes or no, there is no middle ground. Eternal life or death, both in the name and concept of God is love. God is love AND He is judgement, you cannot pick and choose which side you would rather "come to". It's a package deal, a two for one sale, a slap upside the head to get your attention, like Mom used to do. Quakes "...are best analyzed by seismology, rather than speculation". No, they are not, they are best analyzed through prophecy. There is no speculation when it comes to prophecy, you believe it, or you don't, you SEE it, or you don't. Your god is science, or it isn't, choose you this day whom you will serve. It is one thing to understand and analyze how the waters of the deep were released for the flood, a fascinating geology study. Or how it was "merely" a fault line in Japan. It is quite another to use science to INFER (suggest), even DEMAND and/or deny outright that the hand of God is not involved. 90% of the Japanese aren't even christians and THEY see the hand of some "god" at work, as declared by their own Government in asking the people to pray! Quote
Moderators John317 Posted March 18, 2011 Moderators Posted March 18, 2011 I don't believe it's a question of measuring the movements within the earth to see whether the earth is doing anything different from before. It's a question of how the earthquakes are affecting peoples and nations. As I've shown before, there have been more significant earthquakes affecting populated areas of the world during the last 111 years than in the previous 1000 years. Please consider the statements below by Ellen White. You will see that both the Bible and Ellen White tell us that earthquakes are instruments of God for judgment, to try and wake people up to their spiritual condition, and to bring Christians to their senses. No one is saying that these things haven't ever happened before. We're not saying that the natural catastrophies and wars, etc., haven't occurred before. What we are saying, rather, is that they will increase in number and that they will occur at the same time and increase in intensity, affecting more and more people until, by the time Christ returns, the whole world will be affected. There will not only be natural catastrophies but there will also be the seven last plagues described in Revelation 16. Quote: Earthquakess and Floods The enemy has worked, and he is working still. He is come down in great power, and the Spirit of God is being withdrawn from the earth. God has withdrawn His hand. We have only to look at Johnstown [Pennsylvania]. He did not prevent the devil from wiping that whole city out of existence. [ON MAY 31, 1889, AN ESTIMATED 2,200 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE JOHNSTOWN FLOOD WHEN A DAM BROKE AFTER MANY DAYS OF HEAVY RAINS.] And these very things will increase until the close of this earth's history.--1SAT 109 (1889). {LDE 25.2} The earth's crust will be rent by the outbursts of the elements concealed in the bowels of the earth. These elements, once broken loose, will sweep away the treasures of those who for years have been adding to 26 their wealth by securing large possessions at starvation prices from those in their employ. And the religious world, too, is to be terribly shaken, for the end of all things is at hand.--3MR 208 (1891). {LDE 25.3} The time is now come when one moment we may be on solid earth, the next the earth may be heaving beneath our feet. Earthquakes will take place when least expected.--TM 421 (1896). {LDE 26.1} In fires, in floods, in earthquakes, in the fury of the great deep, in calamities by sea and by land, the warning is given that God's Spirit will not always strive with men.--3MR 315 (1897). {LDE 26.2} Before the Son of man appears in the clouds of heaven everything in nature will be convulsed. Lightning from heaven uniting with the fire in the earth will cause the mountains to burn like a furnace and pour out their floods of lava over villages and cities. Molten masses of rock thrown into the water by the upheaval of things hidden in the earth will cause the water to boil and send forth rocks and earth. There will be mighty earthquakes and great destruction of human life.--7BC 946 (1907). {LDE 26.3} Crime, Famines, Pestilence Satan is working in the atmosphere; he is poisoning the atmosphere, and here we are dependent upon God for our lives--our present and eternal lives. And being in the position that we are, we need to be wide awake, wholly devoted, wholly converted, wholly consecrated 27 to God. But we seem to sit as though we were paralyzed. God of heaven, wake us up!--2SM 52 (1890). {LDE 26.4} God has not restrained the powers of darkness from carrying forward their deadly work of vitiating the air, one of the sources of life and nutrition, with a deadly miasma. Not only is vegetable life affected but man suffers from pestilence. . . . These things are the result of drops from the vials of God's wrath [GOD TAKES RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT WHICH HE ALLOWS OR DOES NOT PREVENT. SEE EXODUS 7:3; 8:32; 1 CHRONICLES 10:4, 13, 14.] being sprinkled on the earth, and are but faint representations of what will be in the near future.--3SM 391 (1891). {LDE 27.1} Famines will increase. Pestilences will sweep away thousands. Dangers are all around us from the powers without and satanic workings within, but the restraining power of God is now being exercised.--19MR 382 (1897). {LDE 27.2} I have been shown that the Spirit of the Lord is being withdrawn from the earth. God's keeping power will soon be refused to all who continue to disregard His commandments. The reports of fraudulent transactions, murders, and crimes of every kind are coming to us daily. Iniquity is becoming so common a thing that it no longer shocks the senses as it once did.--Letter 258, 1907. {LDE 27.3} God's Purpose in Calamities What mean the awful calamities by sea--vessels hurled into eternity without a moment's warning? 28 What mean the accidents by land--fire consuming the riches that men have hoarded, much of which has been accumulated by oppression of the poor? The Lord will not interfere to protect the property of those who transgress His law, break His covenant, and trample upon His Sabbath, accepting in its place a spurious rest day. {LDE 27.4} The plagues of God are already falling upon the earth, sweeping away the most costly structures as if by a breath of fire from heaven. Will not these judgments bring professing Christians to their senses? God permits them to come that the world may take heed, that sinners may be afraid and tremble before Him.--3MR 311 (1902). {LDE 28.1} God has a purpose in permitting these calamities to occur. They are one of His means of calling men and women to their senses. By unusual workings through nature God will express to doubting human agencies that which He clearly reveals in His Word.--19MR 279 (1902). {LDE 28.2} How frequently we hear of earthquakes and tornadoes, of destruction by fire and flood, with great loss of life and property! Apparently these calamities are capricious outbreaks of disorganized, unregulated forces of nature, wholly beyond the control of man, but in them all God's purpose may be read. They are among the agencies by which He seeks to arouse men and women to a sense of their danger.--PK 277 (c. 1914). {LDE 28.3} Coming Events Are in the Hands of the Lord The world is not without a ruler. The program of coming events is in the hands of the Lord. The Majesty of heaven has the destiny of nations as well as the concerns of His church in His own charge.--5T 753 (1889). {LDE 29.1} These symbolical representations [the fiery serpents in the wilderness] serve a double purpose. From them God's people learn not only that the physical forces of the earth are under the control of the Creator, but also that under His control are the religious movements of the nations. Especially is this true with reference to the enforcement of Sunday observance.--19MR 281 (1902). {LDE 29.2} In the great closing work we shall meet with perplexities that we know not how to deal with, but let us not forget that the three great Powers of heaven are working, that a divine hand is on the wheel, and that God will bring His purposes to pass.--Ev 65 (1902). {LDE 29.3} As the wheel-like complications were under the guidance of the hand beneath the wings of the cherubim, so the complicated play of human events is under divine control. Amidst the strife and tumult of nations, He that sitteth above the cherubim still guides the affairs of the earth. [see Ezekiel 1:4, 26; 10:8; Daniel 4:17, 25, 32.]--Ed 178 (1903). {LDE 29.4} In the annals of human history, the growth of nations, the rise and fall of empires, appear as if 30 dependent on the will and prowess of man; the shaping of events seems, to a great degree, to be determined by his power, ambition, or caprice. But in the Word of God the curtain is drawn aside, and we behold, above, behind, and through all the play and counterplay of human interest and power and passions, the agencies of the All-merciful One, silently, patiently working out the counsels of His own will.--PK 499, 500 (c. 1914). {LDE 29.5} Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Moderators John317 Posted March 18, 2011 Moderators Posted March 18, 2011 Tell me if I am completely wrong, but it seems to me that you are attempting to find a "scientific" reason to doubt the truth of Ellen White's and the Bible's view of earthquakes and of the end-time events that have been prophecied. Isaiah 13:6-11 Wail, for the day of the Lord is near; as destruction from the Almighty it will come! [7] Therefore all hands will be feeble, and every human heart will melt. [8] They will be dismayed: pangs and agony will seize them; they will be in anguish like a woman in labor. They will look aghast at one another; their faces will be aflame. [9] Behold, the day of the Lord comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger, to make the land a desolation and to destroy its sinners from it. [10] For the stars of the heavens and their constellations will not give their light; the sun will be dark at its rising, and the moon will not shed its light. [11] I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant, and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless. [12]I will make people more rare than fine gold, and mankind than the gold of Ophir. [13] Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place, at the wrath of the Lord of hosts in the day of his fierce anger. Please study following statements in the Spirit of prophecy: Quote: Hurricanes, earthquakes, sword and famine, follow in quick succession. Yet the hearts of men are hardened. They recognize not the warning voice of God. They will not flee to the only refuge from the gathering storm. {5T 234.1} Many who have been placed upon the walls of Zion, to watch with eagle eye for the approach of danger and lift the voice of warning, are themselves asleep. The very ones who should be most active and vigilant in this hour of peril are neglecting their duty and bringing upon themselves the blood of souls. {5T 234.2} My brethren, beware of the evil heart of unbelief. The word of God is plain and close in its restrictions; it interferes with your selfish indulgence; therefore you do not obey it. The testimonies of His Spirit call your attention to the Scriptures, point out your defects of character, and rebuke your sins; therefore you do not heed them. And to justify your carnal, ease-loving course you begin to doubt whether the testimonies are from God. If you would obey their teachings you would be assured of their divine origin. Remember, your unbelief does not affect their truthfulness. If they are from God they will stand. Those who seek to lessen the faith of God's people in these testimonies, which have been in the church for the last thirty-six years, are fighting against God. 235 It is not the instrument whom you slight and insult, but God, who has spoken to you in these warnings and reproofs. {5T 234.3} Satan works through the elements also to garner his harvest of unprepared souls. He has studied the secrets of the laboratories of nature, and he uses all his power to control the elements ..... While appearing to the children of men as a great physician who can heal all their maladies, he will bring disease and disaster, until populous cities are reduced to ruin and desolation. Even now he is at work. In accidents and calamities by sea and by land, in great conflagrations, in fierce 590 tornadoes and terrific hailstorms, in tempests, floods, cyclones, tidal waves, and earthquakes, in every place and in a thousand forms, Satan is exercising his power. He sweeps away the ripening harvest, and famine and distress follow. He imparts to the air a deadly taint, and thousands perish by the pestilence. These visitations are to become more and more frequent and disastrous. GC 589, 590 If Heaven's Warnings Go Unheeded.--I am bidden to declare the message that cities full of transgression, and sinful in the extreme, will be destroyed by earthquakes, by fire, by flood. All the world will be warned that there is a God who will display His authority as God. His unseen agencies will cause destruction, devastation, and death. All the accumulated riches will be as nothingness. . . . {Ev 27.2} Calamities will come--calamities most awful, most unexpected; and these destructions will follow one after another. If there will be a heeding of the warnings that God has given, and if churches will repent, returning to their allegiance, then other cities may be spared for a time. But if men who have been deceived continue in the same way in which they have been walking, disregarding the law of God and presenting falsehoods before the people, God allows them to suffer calamity, that their senses may be awakened. . . . {Ev 27.3} The Lord will not suddenly cast off all transgressors or destroy entire nations; but He will punish cities and places where men have given themselves up to the possession of Satanic agencies. Strictly will the cities of the nations be dealt with, and yet they will not be visited in the extreme of God's indignation, because some souls will yet break away from the delusions of the enemy, and will repent and be converted, while the mass will be treasuring up wrath against the day of wrath.--Manuscript 35, 1906. Evangelism 27 The Judgments of God on our Cities While at Loma Linda, California, April 16, 1906, there passed before me a most wonderful representation. During a vision of the night, I stood on an eminence, from which I could see houses shaken like a reed in the wind. Buildings, great and small, were falling to the ground. Pleasure resorts, theaters, hotels, and the homes of the 93 wealthy were shaken and shattered. Many lives were blotted out of existence, and the air was filled with the shrieks of the injured and the terrified. {9T 92.3} The destroying angels of God were at work. One touch, and buildings, so thoroughly constructed that men regarded them as secure against every danger, quickly became heaps of rubbish. There was no assurance of safety in any place. On April 18, two days after the scene of falling buildings had passed before me, I went to fill an appointment in the Carr Street Church, Los Angeles. As we neared the church we heard the newsboys crying: "San Francisco destroyed by an earthquake!" With a heavy heart I read the first hastily printed news of the terrible disaster. {9T 94.4} Two weeks later, on our homeward journey, we passed through San Francisco and, hiring a carriage, spent an hour and a half in viewing the destruction 95 wrought in that great city. Buildings that were thought to be proof against disaster were lying in ruins. In some instances buildings were partially sunken in the ground. The city presented a most dreadful picture of the inefficiency of human ingenuity to frame fireproof and earthquake-proof structures. {9T 94.5} ... Already His judgments are beginning to fall on some places, and soon His signal displeasure will be felt in other places. {9T 96.1} Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

Woody Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 ha ha. I hear the same thing each and every time there is some kind of disaster. The sky is falling ... the sky is falling. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 let me add that some scientists are proclaiming the benefits of a little bit of radiation leaks like are currentlly going on in Japan. They say it will protect us from cancer and the cancer rates will lower because of the rediation leaks. God is Good. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. SivartM Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Radiation doesn't cause cancer anyway; apparently God does. God couldn't find any worse people in all the earth to kill? That's hard to believe. How many slave traders died? How many corrupt preachers and politicians died? And how many innocent people died? Guest Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 ha ha. I hear the same thing each and every time there is some kind of disaster. The sky is falling ... the sky is falling. They laughed at Noah pretty much the same way. Quote
ClubV12 Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I recall the scientist's also said a little mercury, cocaine, strychnine and other "healthful drugs" were good at one time. As it concerns radiation a FEW scientist's concur with Anne Coulter, the data is based on "testimonials" and conclusions from a few studies. There is ZERO hard evidence. Fact is, the scientist do not know how much is to much or how long is to long. Lets say your a doctor, your patient, who has been exposed to radiation, asks you, "Is everything going to be all right?" NO doctor following the best rules of medicine, as we know it today, can offer that assurance 100%. The reason is simple, WE DON'T KNOW for sure. Government propaganda, and Anne Coulter, will offer soothing advice, tickle your ears and suggest it's going to be OK. It's what the Government does best to calm the citizens, classic! But the fear will remain, for decades (assuming the planet is still here). Iodine is sold out all up and down the west coast and Hawaii. People ARE scared. Justified? Probably not for the USA and Hawaii,,, probably not, don't know for sure yet, another core melt down coming soon? The damage is done, the fear will remain, the message has been sent and will REMAIN in force for decades to come for those is Japan especially. As it does in Russia to this day. "ha ha. I hear the same thing each and every time there is some kind of disaster. The sky is falling ... the sky is falling." Please don't let your heart get hardened and immune to God's warnings and call for repentance. For a people, for an individual. Quote
