skyblue888 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 The point is that no matter how dire the spiritual condition of the church may be in at this present time, we are not to ask for our names to be taken off the record books and calling others to do so and start another church. It is written that at the time of Christ's birth the Jewish religious leaders had become the representatives of Satan and yet when Jesus began His ministry He did not denounce them but instead went about doing good. He did this as long as He was allowed to do so. And after the crucifixion, from a human point of view, you would think that His disciples would have had all the reasons to call the faithful out of the Jewish church whose leaders had just murdered the Son of God but instead the Lord filled them with the Holy Spirit and gave them His message and that message was the offer of mercy, the offer of pardon for crucifying the Lord of glory. Mercy and pardon and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit were offered to them if they would only repent and lay hold upon the merits of a crucified and risen Saviour as their only hope for time and eternity. But this offer of mercy exasperated them and they turned upon the bearers of the message and there was a great persecution which forced them to leave the church and turn to the Gentiles. At no time, in all of this, did the bearers of the message and their converts ask for their names to be stricken off the record books of the Jewish church or called others to do so because of the apostasy of the church. They proclaimed their message of mercy and it was that message that stirred the enmity of the Jews against them and they were cast out. So it will be in these last days when the last message of mercy is proclaimed to the professed people of God in demonstration of the Spirit and power of God, before that message swells into the loud cry to the world. sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf." Pastor_Chick Posted May 19, 2011 Author Posted May 19, 2011 Pastor Chick, I find it fascinating that you are angry at SDA for protecting their name. You twist the Truth when citing that in doing this they participate in Babylon. Your attempts to discredit the SDA Church on such grounds is at minimum a misapplication of Scripture. The facts are you have a small doctrinal dispute with SDA and because of this you left the SDA Church in order to form your own offshoot movement. You are not the first and I suspect you will not be the last. Because SDA did not embrace your views on the "born again experience" and your views on the "make up of God and Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit", you stomped off in a huff to form your own entity. You claim that God directly told you to do this, which sounds familiar to other "crack pot" ones, like David Koresh. You say this thinking that asserting such will gain you legitimacy. The true facts are that you are embittered because the SDA Church did not embrace you views. Proof of my allegations is crystal clear by the fact that you named your entity the "Creation Seventh Day Adventist Church". The name you chose is a clear attempt to tweek the SDA Church for its rejection of your views. Many of us have differences with the SDA Church and its official position but we do run off with our feelings hurt and then try and strike down and destroy the SDA Church. We may haggle it, like we do here, but we work from within not from without. You make a fatal mistake. The fatal mistake is thinking that the physical organization that you set up will be God's Church. Although God uses physical entities, God's people are actually found everywhere beyond such physical boundaries. God's True Church is not physical, it is a Spiritual Church. Jesus Christ you will recall told this Pilot during the trial. I am afraid for you Pastor Chick because you have chosen a most horrid course of action. I doubt you will accept my counsel, but I suggest you drop your vindictive course against the SDA Church. The Sin of Pride has taken hold of you and you are in need of change. However, this change will require that you humble yourself before the Almighty God and drop your vindictive course against the SDA Church. Quote Chick
miz3 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Your conclusions (for the most part) are unfounded. I suppose the best way to handle this is with inspired writings. You cite whole passel of Ellen White quotes that have nothing to do with the facts that I presented. You totally avoid the case against you. You are not being honest but attempting (rather weakly I might add) to hide behind "inspiration". Such tactics are always the trade mark of offshoot crack pots, such as Jim Jones, David Koressh, etc. Your hate is rather evident and you try and characterize others as the hatemongers. Shame on you! You hate the SDA Church or you would not have used the name "Creation Seventh Day Adventist Church"! That name alone indicts you as a vindictive spoiled person who did not get his way so you decided to take your toys elsewhere. Why are you so stubborn? Sheila7 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 I find it facinating that you do not have your facts straight and TRUE! It seems you have formed an opinion that simply is not justified. It is the SDA/GC church that initiated a vindictive course of action with filing a lawsuit against a fellow christian believer and his church for a trademark infringement!? They are in the process of having a young man in his early 20's imprisioned for his God given belief's. This is blasphemy against the Holy Spirit in the first degree. skyblue888 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 hi sheila, Did not the General Conference of the Jewish Church (the Sanhedrin) put the Son of God to death and yet after doing this, what did the God of Heaven do? Did He send messengers with a message of condemnation or with the offer of mercy and pardon? The G.C. is guilty of all that you are saying but now is the time to make sure we are in possession of the message from Heaven because that message is not a message of condemnation because God's care and labor for His professed people have not lessened but increased on account of her dire need of the pure Gospel. The last message to the professed church is the offer of mercy but if she spurns this message again as she did between 1888 and 1903, the Lord will turn to another class as the bearers of that last message will have no other choice but to turn to the world. sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf." skyblue888 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 At a time when we should be acquainting ourselves with God and His last message of mercy to the church, are we to be found bickering with one another? Brother Chick, I understand where you are coming from but that does not justify your coming out when nobody cast you out. You left the church on your own volition and started another movement when God did not call you to do this or anyone else for that matter. None of the prophets or Reformers ever embarked upon such a course. Jesus Christ Himself who was the greatest prophet did not do it even though He was fully aware that those whom He had called to be the ground and pillar of the truth had become the representatives of Satan. Even His disciples did not take upon themselves to leave the apostate Jewish church, not even after the crucifixion of Christ. At Pentecost the Lord filled them with His Spirit to deliver the last message of mercy to the Jewish people, even to those who were responsible for Christ's death. It was far from being a message of condemnation or of separation. Instead it was a message of mercy, the invitation to accept the offer of pardon through the merits of His infinite sacrifice. It was only after the church sealed her rejection of God's mercy that the call to separate from the Jewish church became present truth and that did not happen until they stoned Stephen to death, following the rejection of the message from God presented to them in the power of the Holy Spirit. See C.O.L.308,309,218. We are living in the time of the last opportunity for the professed church to accept the last message of mercy. What we need to do right now is to know what that message is so that when it is presented to us, we will recognize it for what it is and and receive it, believe it, and act upon it, instead of being deceived by the enemy. sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf." skyblue888 Posted May 19, 2011 Posted May 19, 2011 Brother, if we are seeking to do His will, through the influence of the Holy Spirit, we will be inclined to seek for a better understanding of the last message of mercy to the church, the offer of pardon for having betrayed sacred trusts, and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit by appropriating to ourselves the all-sufficient merits of a crucified and risen Saviour. This was the 1888 message in a nutshell: "The only faith that will benefit us is that which embraces Him as a personal Saviour: which appropriates His merits to ourselves." Desire of Ages, p.347. We appropriate His merits to ourselves by claiming them. This is just as simple as ABC. It is our privilege to do so. skyblue888 Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 It is one thing to want to correct those who may be deceived but we cannot do it safely unless we have a correct understanding of the last message of mercy and present it with the same love that was in the heart of the Savior. See all that takes place when we come to God, daily, trusting wholly in the merits of a crucified Savior: "God will accept everyone that comes to Him trusting wholly in the merits of a crucified Savior. Love springs up in the heart. There may be no ecstasy of feeling but there is an abiding, peaceful trust. Every burden is light, for the yoke which Christ imposes is easy. I can honestly say, I have never been so spiritually blessed. I have seen and understood new light concerning the scriptures that I have been studying since chldhood. I was born and raised SDA. Light Fox Posted May 20, 2011 Posted May 20, 2011 Hi, Well, it seems as though there are a few different discussions at once within the same thread right now. I'm going to reply to the one Sky has been putting forth a few times, to a number of "Amens" and quote posts. Correct me if I'm mistaken, but it seems that your last several posts in a nutshell can be summarized as "Lets focus on the gospel, leaving the Church is wrong, you should have waited to be forcibly removed." I'm interested in looking at that in more detail, since I think it really does fit in very clearly with the actual topic of this thread. Here is what I saw quoted in the 1896 Quarterly up for discussion: Quote: "It has ever been true that a backslidden body, one that has turned from God's word to men, from God's power to the state, was never reformed in itself. Invariably God's message has called out those from the fallen church who would do His will and preach His gospel. Israel went down to Egypt for help, and their captivity and loss of power followed. Out of the captives God gathered a faithful band to do His work. The Jewish church failed, and God called out the apostolic church to do His bidding. The Roman Church failed, and out of it God called the churches of the Reformation. Some of these churches failed to advance, and God called out others to bear His gospel to the world such as the Baptist, Methodist, Congregationalist, Disciple, Adventists. His last 'called-out' people will know no standard but His word, no power but His Spirit." So, let's have some discussion on this. Obviously, there is a time when God does call people out of a body that rejects His message. Further, every time this has happened, those who have come out have been told exactly the same thing - they came out too soon, in the wrong way, were causing division when unity was needed, were confusing instead of drawing together, etc, etc. It seems, then, that we have a dilemma. People will arise before the time saying God is calling people out, and be told they are wrong to do so. People will arise at the right time saying God is calling people out, and be told they are wrong to do so. Sky, what is your view on how to know which is which? Why does God call people out at some points and not others? In short - what is your position based on that coming out of the SDA denomination at this point in time is or is not of God? Neither the SDA denomination nor the SDA Administration is "spotless". There is great need of repentance, revival and reformation - just as Ted Wilson points out. 3. However doctrinally - the church is still correct which is why God continues to work with it as the Remnant organization from a "body of doctrine" point of view. in Christ, Bob Quote John 8:32 - The Truth will make you free“The righteousness of Christ will not cover one cherished sin." Thanks in advance Hi Qinael, you are welcome in advance. I have already mentioned the fact that God does not send messengers to His professed church with a message calling people out when He is about to pour out His Spirit upon men and women of His own choosing to invite all, for the last time, to repent for having betrayed sacred trusts, and to lay hold upon the merits of a crucified and risen Saviour that they may be clothed with the righteousness of Christ and thus become vessels fit for the Master's use. The rejection of this last message, proclaimed in demonstration of the Spirit and power of God, will cause the professed church to seal her rejection of God's mercy and it will be followed by a great persecution and the bearers of the message will then be forced to leave the confines of Modern Israel and to turn to the Gentiles, to the world, and the message will swell to a loud cry. sky Quote "The merits of His sacrifice are sufficient to present to the Father in our behalf."
