First off,this is in response to your post today to Pastor Chick, that asked; "why did you tell Sheila 7 not to respond to me?" I will answer that question. I have just now read your reply to me, therefore I will now reply. Your assumption/judgement that he told me not to respond to you is delusional thinking at best. It tells me your mind is not in/on Christ.

This fact is demonstrated in other of your posts, i.e., "you have stars in your eyes in regard to this man (pastor chick)"; "you are not discussing hoping to find a true answer"; "as a member of pastor chicks church and clearly as one enthralled with him you are hardly a credible witness. No matter what pastor chick did you would claim that it came from God."

As I posted to you previously, I have never met Pastor Chick in person. I am not a member of the CSDA Church. I am currently studying to become a member. I no longer choose to be an SDA member and have written the GC asking to take my name off of their books. After much research and prayer I made this decision. I simply cannot be part of a church organization that is in grave error according to Scripture and the testimonies of EGW. That being said, I would now ask you to PROVE to me that all of what Pastor Chick and others of his group have written is NOT THE TRUTH concerning the topic of this thread AND THE SCRIPTURES.

This will be the LAST TIME I will be replying to you (for the record) if you are continuing to post questions that are NOT ON THE TOPIC. I have gone to both your websites. This is what I noticed:

1. Your personal story is one of instability. Emotional instability on your part.

2. Everything about you and the CSDA revolves around two main themes.

3. One of those themes is that humans can and must attain to human perfection (overcome all known sin).

4. You did not see the SDA Church or any other entity seeking to honestly attain to this level of perfection.

5. You saw the SDA Church as settling into the same old rut every other organized entity has. That is making compromise so as to exist in peace in the world.

6. The other theme is tied to the first. You either consciously or subconsciously in order to prove your rightness which the SDA Church would not except, purposefully chose to challenge the SDA Church in terms of their Name!

7. Everything on those websites revolves around those two themes:

a. Individual righteous perfection and victory of all known sin.

b. Attempting to prove the rightness of your views by challenging the SDA Church and proving the SDA Church has failed to meet what you think is the Standard.

i think i should step in and say something cause no one is seeing the big picture!

let me paint u folks a picture of eternity past before any thing was made.

THE GOD FAMILY has always existed

three MEMBERS

they had each other and were self sufficient

for eternity they loved each other

always connectted

yet always distict seperate beings

selfless LOVE was their way of being

they could choose another way but that would lead to separation and destruction from each other

they knew LOVE IS WAY

they couldnt or wouldnt act outside of that

they all had the same perogitives,powers, and knowledge!

individually they can create and destroy by their words or thoughts

they were complete

they were GOD

when it came time to share their love

to expand that love

to give that love

they decided to expand their FAMILY

in order to do this

they stepped into roles

giving up or laying aside their eternal perogitives

A FIGURE HEAD -FATHER

AN ARCHANGEL -SON

AND A SPIRIT that inhabits all beings and is everywhere

was FORMED

this not only happened for the sake of creation but for the sake of sin that will enter cause they created beings with CHOICE

they created beings with self thinking and thought and choice

it would be confusing for created beings to focus on all three GODS in their finite minds

even in eternity we cannot fathom never a starting point cause we ALL are born/created at some point!

but GOD FAMILY IS ETERNAL with no starting point

having THREE GODS

it would cause separation

it would cause confusion cause our finite minds cannot give allegence to many GODS

we needed a CENTER

FATHER GOD is that CENTER

and it wouldnt help redeem the fallen when the FALL happened without the seperate roles OF the GOD FAMILY TOPLAY THEIR PART

THEY created angels

messingers of FAMILY LOVE

they created universes

they created other types of beings also

the beings came into existance thru the creator MICHAEL/SON

all the beings saw THE FATHER as the ONE to worship and to look to

all beings are created to worship something!

THE FATHER PROVIDED THAT

sitting in unapproachable LIGHT on a center THRONE at all times moving the UNIVERSE

Water of LIFE RUSHING OUT FROM HIS throne to form a river that goes thru out HEAVEN

and the SON walked with them out in the fields of GLORY!

teaching,sharing and revealing GLORIES

and the HOLY SPIRIT was in all their hearts and minds prompting them to better ways and thoughts

the beings got the GOD FAMILY from every leval!

it was for all of us

at the end of the 7 thousand years of sin JESUS will be crowned and sit on the CENTER THRONE OF THE UNIVERSE

all beings in the universe will bow down to HIM

as GOD

both saved and unsaved will see GODS GREAT LOVE AND SACRIFICE

HIS NAME IS HIGHER THAN ANY OTHER NAME IN HEAVEN AND EARTH

then after the NEW EARTH IS RECREATED and HEAVEN is EARTH

Jesus will step off the CENTER THRONE OF THE UNIVERSE

give it back to HIS FATHER

Let me become very clear on this. I do not want to misunderstand you.

What I have gleaned so far is

1) You see Ellen White and the SDA pioneers, that is, the non-Trinitarian ones, saying the same things.

2) So, you do not believe Ellen White's writings support a shift to the Trinity doctrine.

3) You further believe EGW was a "heretic."

Now, I have not yet grasped the connection you are making with "Christ could have sinned."

And, a question. Are you Trinitarian or non-Trinitarian? (or something else) Thank you in advance.

Dear Shiela7, let me ask you this: Was not the Jewish Church is "grave error" too when Jesus was born? The Testimonies tell us that at the time of His birth those who had been called to be the ground and pillar of the truth had become the representatives of Satan! See D.A.36.

When Jesus began His ministry, what did He do? He went about doing good. Yet, three and a half years later, the Jews turned to the civil authorities, to Rome, in order to have Jesus condemned and crucified. What happened after that? Did the disciples say to themselves, Okay it is now time to write to the Sanhedrin to have our names taken off their books. No, instead the Lord filled them with His Spirit and He gave them a message and that message was the offer of mercy, the offer of pardon for having crucified the Lord of glory. See C.O.L.308. Please read that page and then go to page 218.

It is true that that message was not heeded but that it so exasperated the leaders of the Jews that they turned upon the bearers of that message and there was a great persecution. They did leave the church eventually because they were forced out, and not because they asked to have their names taken off the books.

There is a vast difference between God removing some of us from the religious assemblies of men, taking some of us away from the influence of priests and rulers into the "wilderness" in order to teach us His message and leaving the church altogether by asking that our names be taken off the books and calling others to do the same.

Adventists believe in two phases of the Atonement.

1) The sacrificial Lamb of God on the cross, and

2) The mediation of our "great High Priest" in the heavenly sanctuary.

There is a blotting out of sins or names that occurs in the investigative judgment. We must "all stand before the judgment seat of Christ." (Rom. 14:10)

The blood of Christ washes away past sins.

[Christ] whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; (Rom. 3:25)

But, there is power in the blood to keep us from falling into sin via future temptations.

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever. Amen. (Jude 24, 25)

By the mighty power of the Father and His Son realized by their Spirit, we may partake of the "divine nature" (2 Peter 1:4) and remain separate from "the corruption that is in the world through lust."

So, as it appears this thread is running its course, I pose the question one more time.

Does the Bible really teach 1+1=3?

It is amusing that a definitive answer is not easy to conclude. It seems to be that it depends on what and how you are counting.

I can look at creation and see two human persons formed "in the image" and "likeness" of God.

I can look at the "chain of command" where God, Christ, man, and woman are delineated.

I can look at the book of Revelation and see two divine persons sitting on the throne.

I can look at what causes eternal life -- knowledge of two divine beings.

All of the above suggests to me 1+1=2.

But, we cannot leave the Holy Spirit out of the equation. And while, even among professed Adventist believers, there are numerous ideas and propositions about this mystery, the Bible seems to teach that 1+1=3, a trio of mighty divine power.
