Be honest with yourself! I would think that this is the type of thing that was going on as described in Acts 2, as the witnesses said they all seemed to be drunk. Then read what Elijah experanced with the wind and fire and the still small voice, and what the disciples witnessed in John 20:20-22. Quote

How does it change what the Bible says ? 1 Cor 12-14 is all about telling people not to act like those folks. Yet, it says 'forbid not tongues' Quote

The apostles did. Jesus said Himself that the Spirit could not be given until He died and rose again. And so it was. In any case, the reason I speak in tongues is that I 'do not know what to pray for'. Jesus knew what to pray for. Quote

Why is it, or what would cause you to not know what to pray for? Do you actually believe that a prayer must be outloud and in tongues? Just wondering??? Quote

No, Paul also says we should both pray in the Spirit, and in the understanding. That means in tongues and, for me, English. I don't feel like I don't know, I just know the Bible says I don't. My kids often don't know what's good for them, either. Quote

Did not John tell us to test the "spirit" to know which spirit is Holy or not? So how does one test the spirits to know what spirit they are dealing with? Quote

You don't need 'evil Spirits' for people to sin, there is a way that seems right to man, but it ends in death. The church in the time of Galileo was corrupt and ignorant. Many churches are still spiritually corrupt, but it's clear that a lot has changed, given that churches no longer put people in prison for what they believe. Quote
