Members phkrause Posted April 10, 2012 Members Posted April 10, 2012 Yes PK, it is sad. But the real sad thing about all of this issue is that the PD and the City leaders themselves seem to have some race bigotry problems themsleves and has been going on for a long time. This and the poor investigation practices by officials in and around that area of Sandford make for what took place with the media I suppose. After all, something had to break! Zimmerman may or may not be completly clean, but the number one problem was the 'uncleaness' of the City leaders and Police. Yep, something had to 'blow'! And it just might be the best thing for the short time to have others patrolling around Sanford--white or black. I just hope they have their video cameras rolling when events happen. and that is what the black community is complaining about, and have complained about all these years. And the unfortunate things is, is that this same officer has had his problems before. And this is not just limited to Sanford!! I think we can go to most cities and find this issue. phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Moderators lazarus Posted April 10, 2012 Moderators Posted April 10, 2012 The Martin/Zimmerman Case will not go to a Grand Jury. How do you feel about this development? Does this mean there is racism in the legal system? What other theories might you have from this development? If the take the time to read about this decision you will see that it is difficult to read what will be the outcome in the end. This Prosecutor has never used a GJ in this kind of case. What she has done is to place herself in the position to make the decision. That's normal according to Florida law. It's her option. Her decision will come soon as to whether she will issue an indictment. She is still investigating. What do you think the decision means? I'm not a lawyer. Thomas, where are you? olger Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 The real issue here is the viability of a state law, isn't it? "Please don't feed the drama queens.."

Woody Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 This means that Zimmerman will not be charged with murder. They might be able to drum up some lesser charge. WE will see. May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
bonnie Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 This means that Zimmerman will not be charged with murder. They might be able to drum up some lesser charge. WE will see. I am not so sure that is what it means, but if it does,Brace Yourself. If Zimmerman is not arrested, tried and convicted according to what has been dictated, the riots will begin I am a fraid and Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson will be leading the way in some fashion or another Everything you do is based on the choices you make. bonnie Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 http://www.care2.com/causes/another-white-riot-in-kentucky.html Little different topic don't you think? Just in case you need to be told, reminded or assurred again and again. White people can be racist, can committ crimes, can be unfair, can be involved in riots. I also think most realize in this it is a very real possibility with so called leaders stirring the pot in many ways that is what could happen. If you feel so inclined why not start a topic of provable white injustice, white on black crime, and white riots over the past thrity years. Then maybe someone else can start a topic of black on white crime, black on black crime and the black riots over the last thirty years. That will fix it.Just as convicting Zimmerman will fix it for you or at least a little Everything you do is based on the choices you make. CoAspen Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 It seems people just can't let the subject go! Everytime one thread closes or is moved, another one pops up. Is their some agitation/manipulation or boredness going on? So far it seems to be just going back and forth at each other. Real quality time being spent, eh?

Kountzer Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I don't like to dwell on riots and rioting, but the topic keeps coming up in regards to this case. The first amendment does guarantee the right to freedom of assembly. The United States constitution explicitly provides for 'the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances'" in the First Amendment. So, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson are within their rights to 'redress grievances' in regards to this case. To associate the exercise of those rights with rioting is a smear tactic. Also, black people aren't the only ones who riot, as exampled in my last post. There are white student riots, over basketball games played and won primarily with black players. Figure that one out. There are soccer riots in central & So America, a recent hockey riot in canadian BC., football riots in England & Europe. Jesse & Al didn't have anything to do with any of those. Regarding Zimmerman being tried and convicted, yeah I would like to see that happen. But if it doesn't I will live with it. I can't answer for all other african americans and other sympathizers. To say the least, we are not monolithic in how we think & respond. I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass

It seems that so many are making assumptions completely about what happened by if they are black or white. BTW, Zimmerman is a Hispanic.
Kountzer Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 What does Zimmerman being Hispanic have to do with anything? A man in a car with a gun, shot and killed another unarmed man who was walking. That much is known. I know enough. I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass
bonnie Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 What does Zimmerman being Hispanic have to do with anything? A man in a car with a gun, shot and killed another unarmed man who was walking. That much is known. I know enough. The unarmed man happened to be rapping his head into the sidewalk. The man armed with the gun was on the bottom and callin for help according to eyewitness. No,black people are not the only ones to riot. The right to assembly is not a right to riot. Rioting over games is wrong, destructive and dangerous, those that riot should spend some considerable time in prison. The call to riot is something different. Listen to Sharpton and Jackson. If this were White Supremicists groups publically placing a bounty on the head of Martins family,or releasing Matin's girlfriends address there would be rioting already, not just the dousing of a young boy with gas and setting him on fire or beating a 78 year old man. The political leaders do not incite sports riots Everything you do is based on the choices you make. Kountzer Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 So your information says. Put it in front of a jury, treat it like a possible homicide, like the police should of done in the first place, and let a jury decide. As for bounties and info released on his girlfriend, all of that is a bi product of the case not being handled correctly in the first place. I doubt seriously, very seriously if Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson are in on that. Five black people were shot in Tulsa, three of them killed, by two white persons. The police there took care of the situation. Therefore no mass media hysteria, not like the case in Florida. I have very little knowledge of the new black panthers. Other than bluster I don't think they are a threat. They obviously don't know their history, because the old black panthers, many of them were set up, hunted down, and mercilessly shot down and killed. At least Fred Hampton was. He was shot and killed though he was unarmed, while sleeping. He wasn't the only one. I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass
Dottie Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 "The United States constitution explicitly provides for 'the right of the people PEACEABLY to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances' in the First Amendment." How come so many people don't see that word "peaceably?"
Kountzer Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 They didn't sweep this under the rug fast enough. no justice no peace, know justice, know peace. Besides, if the civil authorities in that area had legal standing to shut down whatever protests are happening, they would. There is too much of a spotlight on this for them to do so right now. I prayed for twenty years but received no answer until I prayed with my legs. Frederick Douglass

Woody Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 But, it doesn't matter what the charge is; It will be a racially motivated charge. IOWs the prosecutor agreed to this because of the racial tensions. May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Dr. Rich Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 It's the media that should be charged. Zimmerman has a great suit against all of them, NBC intended to be bias in all of this which damaged Zimmerman's character, thereby He will probably come out on top here as did Rodny King.
