Woody Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 Always best if one does his research on his own. Anything presented in this format on the forum will be outright rejected. I am calling upon you to research and back up your statement. That's all. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 Just as I thought... It gets real old Overaged - presenting 'evidence' and then being told that none have been presented. Why should anyone want to do that. The Spirit of God is being rejected. It's a sad situation. Study to show thyself approved unto God. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 Having said that - if you disagree - please go ahead and present the evidence to back up your statement. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 Quote: You could have just provided me with a reference for what you said. I am still waiting for you to do that with your statement. You are the one that made the statement. Do you expect to make un-referenced statement and have them go unchallenged or something? Why would you expect those who doubt your un-referenced statements to reference theirs when you have not done it with yours? Seems like a doubt standard here???? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

I stated that I don't know of any statement in the Bible or the spirit of prophecy that calls any woman, including EGW a Pastor. You replied to that saying there was, but you refuse to provide evidence for your challenge; instead, preferring to accuse me of "double-standards." I guess the Church will have to get used to such accusations. Seems like they are here to stay. Quote "People [rarely] see...the bright light which is in the clouds..." Woody Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 Last time - it was you that said "I give up". I think it's my turn now. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 I would refer you to Gail's thread. The question was raised - what would EGW do? EGW did not particpate in debates. What did she do when asked to provide 'evidence'? She pointed them to scripture. So, what would she have done when OA states he has not seen. She would have said "study more". Which is what I suggested. Being hand fed whether it is by EGW or Woody - really does no good in a format like this. Evidence is clearly being rejected. I am now trying the EGW approach which is to encourage the true seeker - to study for themselves. Study to show thyself approved unto God. It actually works. At least that has been my experience. I hope and pray it can be yours. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted May 28, 2012 Author Posted May 28, 2012 Wrap your mind about this quote from the Review and Herald: Quote: “All means which, according to sound judgment, will advance the cause of truth, and are not forbidden by plain scripture declarations, should be employed.” JW, RH, April 26, 1860 Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Woody Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Great sites Tom. Thank you. Part of it was blank though for me. For instance it gave the date: Monday Evening April 23, 2016 - http://www.nadministerial.org/article/25...ergy-conference - but then it was blank. So, I don't know what is happening then. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted June 1, 2012 Administrators Posted June 1, 2012 May have been a temporary glitch. It's working now. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." Woody Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Hmmm. All I get is "Monday Evening April 23, 2016" and then a blank box. Can you tell me what is happening on that date? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted June 1, 2012 Administrators Posted June 1, 2012 The website is the NAD Ministerial site and the page is about the 2012 Women Clergy Conference which started on Monday evening, April 23. There is a series of videos of the various presentations. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." Woody Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 OH! Perhaps the 2016 is a typo? Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted June 2, 2012 Administrators Posted June 2, 2012 I'm guessing it probably is a typo... I never even noticed it! Woody Posted June 5, 2012 Author Posted June 5, 2012 When it comes to issues regarding women - times change slowly. Just consider that women have had the right to vote for only less than a hundred years. What a shame. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Woody Posted June 8, 2012 Author Posted June 8, 2012 . Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Woody Posted June 8, 2012 Author Posted June 8, 2012 And for those opposed to raising hands - just skip the above post. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
OzarkWoman Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 I like what all Dwight Nelson had to say. It made so much sense. Quote
