TreeOfLife Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 How Women are Being Fooled Big Time... When it comes to issues regarding women - times change slowly. Just consider that women have had the right to vote for only less than a hundred years. What a shame. Consider this carefully!: By registering to vote and by then voting you make yourselves, each one and all, responsible for being slaves and servants under the powers that be that are being created and empowered by each and all of your votes. Consequences: Women no longer have the time to be the queens of each their own castle and home. Nor do they have the time to stay home with their infants whom they are being forced to leave in the hands of others at the day care centers. Nor do they have the time or ability to home school their children. Nor do they have the power to retain access to each their own child when the Child Protective Services of their elected powers kidnap their child from them and place their child in a foster home being paid for "by your own tax dollars," and in which foster homes they risk being exposed (in a full 10% of cases) to child abuse, sexual molestation, and more... Nor do these women and their husbands have the time to enjoy most anything given them freely by the Creator, not excluding the love and care of their husbands who are being likewise fooled for a considerably longer time than women have... Remember 1 Samuel 8! Quote http://adamoh.org

Don't you mean that ordination as we now practice it means that you are TO BE a pastor? So we ordain those we FEEL (hope)are called to pastor a flock somewhere, sometime? Do we ordain our "ministers" before or after they have proven their success at shepherding? Does graduating from Andrews now qualify one (male or female) to be the Biblical model of pastor? Does this local recognition carry the same weight of leadership authority in Ghana? If Phoebe's pastoral credentials were good enough for Paul to send her to Rome as pastor then why does NAD pretend that the Holy Spirit ordination in Silver Spring does not carry the same authority when that pastor travels to Enid,Oklahoma or Lima, Peru? Has NAD now decided that there now are many equally legitimate ways of looking at ordination and many differing degrees of authority that it carries? Quote
doug yowell Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Do human hands trump the hand of God? No, but if they have good enough evidence of that "ordination" then they can validate it thru the exhibited fruits.Ellen White was a unique woman who worked in support of her husband and others to convict the world of the last day message. She was given the gift of prophesy which was also accompanied with visions and extraordinary insights into circumstances of life. She did not pastor her husband nor did she ever assume working responsibility for any local or world wide body. She was a prophet. You use her as the prototype of appointing women to do any other job but prophet. Who in today's church has proven that their gifts are equally as effective as hers? Quote

Have you not read what I have posted about what criteria the Church considers to demonstrate readiness for ordination. Let me make this simple. A person feels a calling to become a minister so they go to college to earn a theology degree. They graduate and are hired as a ministerial intern, either working awhile as a pastor or are sent to the seminary. They then work as a pastor for a number of years and once they have demonstrated the fruit of the call to ministry by showing they can pastor, have brought people to Christ and nurtured them in the faith. It is then that they are ordained after demonstrating they really are a pastor. Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. Woody Posted June 21, 2012 Author Posted June 21, 2012 Okay - I like Pastor Bohr. I have more CDs of him than any other preacher. But on this topic - he is WAY off base. He is not even close to the Truth. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology. Â
Members phkrause Posted June 24, 2012 Members Posted June 24, 2012 Couldn't find the other thread on WO, so I'll post this here until I do and than I'll post it there also. Happen to be reading a back issue of Adventist World, October 2010. The "Can We Talk" column by Angel M. Rodriguez. Great article. http://www.adventistworld.org/article/866/resources/english/issue-2010-1010/can-we-talk Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. olger Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Hot off the griddle, by one of the church's most thorough Bible teachers. Frankly, I was surprised. I didn't know he felt this way. http://secretsunsealed.org/Downloads/newsletter2Q12web.pdf Quote "Please don't feed the drama queens.."
Gibs Posted June 25, 2012 Posted June 25, 2012 Round and round she goes and where it stops nobody knows. Well I don't care who men claim is ordained. I hear them for a few minutes and I know, of man or of God. Yes it's that simple and it isn't hard to sort out either. Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. I totally agree Gibs. As far as I'm concerned its one of the most useless topics. I actually don't recall ever being at any ordination program. Stuff like that doesn't impress me. Actually, I know **for a fact** that's not how it works. :/ Quote Pam      Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

I live in SECC and know for a fact that it doesn't usually work that way. I know personally people (both men and women)who have never proven their capability to lead yet are given pastorships. I personally know people who for decades have proven that they are incapable of successfully leading churches yet are moved from church to church. Tom cites the ideal not the reality when it comes to the general end result. Quote
Gibs Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Rudywoofs, I have to agree with you as what I see is this, when the one in question to be ordained meets the criterea of men they proclaim him, or her now maybe, an ordained minister. Most never come close to meeting the criterea of the Lord God as soon as they begin to speak and don't according to His Word they prove it. Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them. There is a very few on 3abn who speak according to the Word. Will listen to Kenny Shelton Fri. 10.00 am est and see what I think of his, he used to be with the Word, wonder if he is pulled under. 1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
