That doesn't mean we shouldn't bring the truth to them. Those without the truth are easily deceived and are weaker in the faith, we are called to bring the truth brother.

I do not think this is what we are called to do. (This reminds me of a Jack Nicholson quote, "You can't handle the truth!")

This is not about calling the Father by his proper name YHWH.

I suspect you are unaware that there is no "W" sound in Hebrew and everyone saying "Yahweh" are saying it incorrectly

I invite you to show me where in the bible it says the name isn't important. As I have showed you consistently from God's word that it is.

I have shown you where the 10 commandments requested that we not use God's name in a wrong manner. To use it to suggest that someone's baptism is invalid because they did not use your preferred tranliteration violates that.

This is one of the reasons I tend to believe seldom does one ever change their mind or viewpoint regarding things they read on line in opinion websites. (Still like forums though).

I gave good reasons why "Yahshua" is unnecessary for everyone to accept, even scholars are debating the "English equivalent" of the name.  I have seen no name for Jesus in the OT that is pronounced as you put forth. For you to continue to say that everyone must accept your interpretation of Hebrew and that another person's baptism is invalid because they do not follow your ideas is sad. You remind me of what Paul said, " ... Yet, they want you to be circumcised so that they can brag about what was done to your body." GW version. You can refit this verse to cover having someone else adopt your ideas.

Brother,

Yahshua is the proper name shown to be the true name given to us. The true name for Yahweh in the New testament and Old is YHWH(Yah). The son came in the Father's name Yah. I explained it several times in depth to you brother. I understand if you are not going to accept it, I can't make you. Nor would I want to force you to believe something, because that wouldn't be true belief. But even if you deny you are still accountable.

I don't wish to brag about anything let alone brag about what was done to someone else. Did the apostles brag about bringing someone to the truth? Since they did not neither do I. I only wish for you to be saved by the knowledge of the truth, and not damned for denying it.

1. Brother are you saying we are not called to bring the truth to people?

2. So Yaheh then? Still Yah though pounced Yaw.

3. I agree completely brother, we are not to take the Lord's name in vain and use it in a wrong manner. To use a false name for the Lord is most definitely using it in a wrong manner. To suggest that a person should not use the true name of Lord to baptize but instead use a name closer to a Pagan God certainly violates that law brother.

4. So I guess I am still to wait for a verse that says the name we are baptized in is not important?

You will never be worthy of salvation.  All men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  You became worthy of salvation when you accepted Jesus as your Savior (He who brings you salvation).  You will never be worthy of heaven because of who you are or what you have done; you are only worthy because of who He is and what He's done.  Quit groveling at the foot of the Law.  The Law only shows you what evil is - it can't save you.  Read Romans 7.  Paul states that the Law - although it is good - only showed Him what sin is.  He desperately asks and then answers in verse 24:

" What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death? 25 Thanks be to God, who delivers me through Jesus Christ our Lord!"

I will pray for you, brother, that the God who is Love will wash that Love over you like a tidal wave; drowning that evil spirit of condemnation which is torturing your soul. In Yahshua's name.

I am not speaking of the Law of sin and death that was the book of the covenant written by the hand of Moses, completed by the blood of Christ. I am speaking about the law of liberty, life, faith, and spirit. The law of Truth in Christ. We are saved by faith and judged by faith and works. Faith without works is dead. We must keep the law of Christ and spirit, the new covenant law. Under new covenant law a man must be baptized if he believe on Christ and has faith. That is one of the works that must be done.

Brother the Law of the spirit has made me free from the law of sin and death. The name of Christ Yahshua does not condemn me, my actions and my sins condemn me. It is by every word thought and deed we will be judged. Only by being born again can we be washed of these sins. To be born again we must be Baptized in the true name of the lord, Yahshua.

Dear Disciple,

It must be terrible to live in fear of condemnation!  I say this with all sympathy for your position - your revelation is not my revelation. I do not feel condemned whatsoever - only loved. Does God "convict me of sin?  Yes; but He never condemns me.  I feel so sorry for people who feel condemned by God rather than cherished by Him.  Do you love Yahweh and His Son Yahshua?  Do you believe Yahshua is who He says He is and has done what He said He has done?  Then you are His son!

I view the concern over being baptized the right way the same way Paul viewed circumcision Romans 2:28:

"A person is not a Jew who is one only outwardly, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. 29 No, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code.Such a person’s praise is not from other people, but from God."

Think about this, brother.  You appear to be a true believer, fervent for your God and His values.  Don't get hung up on a single issue condition for salvation.  God is looking at your heart.  Many who are not baptized (or baptized in the name of Yehshua) will be in the Kingdom.  Unless you abandon your trust in a loving God to save you, you will be in His Kingdom.

Neither faith nor works are our Savior. Jesus alone is our Salvation and Savior. (John 1:29) "Behold The Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world." Faith and/or works are never intended to take the place of the shed blood of Christ, by which alone we are saved. The faith and works are simply the results or evidence of how what Christ did is affecting us personally.

Because accents and dialects of a language change as that language is used over the years, it is impossible to be certain exactly how Moses first pronounced the name of God when he first introduced it to Israel. Insisting other-wise is simply ignoring what the Bible actually does teach about the name of God.

In just The Old Testament alone are “hidden” literally hundreds of names and titles for Jesus. He is revealed in every single book of the Bible by BOTH  type and teaching. Among the many Old Testament prophetic names of Jesus are Shiloh (Gen 49:10), the Prophet (Mat 21:11), the Branch (Jer 33:15), the Desire of all Nations (Hag 2:7), the Ensign for the Peoples (Isaiah 11:10), and Jehoshua (Mat 1:23).

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins “ (Mat 1:21). Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Mat 1:23)

The first to hear His name was Mary who was informed not only that she would bear a son but that she should “call his name JESUS” and that He would also “be called the Son of the Highest” (Luk 1:31-32). When Joseph first heard the name, he was told “that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost” (Mat 1:20).

The name “Jesus,” when applied to the virgin-born child of Bethlehem, was an affirmation of who He is, “Jehovah the Saviour.” “Jehovah” was the most venerated name of God in the Old Testament; but that has never meant that we are commanded to only use one word, such as “Jehovah” to describe who He was, and to tell others about His name. All of the over 700 different names for Jesus in the Bible are collectively known as “the name,” for all together, they all say His name. His character. And each name corresponds with some point of need that we all experience from time to time.

It is not correct to say that we are saved ONLY by calling God/Jesus just one specific word, for we are ONLY saved by Christ and Him crucified: “Nothing But The Blood Of Jesus.:”

But I will never brag about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of his cross, the world is dead as far as I am concerned, and I am dead as far as the world is concerned. It doesn't matter if you are circumcised or not. All that matters is that you are a new person. (Gal 6:14-15, CEV)

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. (Gal 6:14-15, KJV)

We behold in the cross of Christ our efficiency, our inexhaustible source of power (Letter 129, 1898).  {6BC 1112.7}

"His name shall be called Immanuel, . . . God with us." "The light of the knowledge of the glory of God" is seen "in the face of Jesus Christ." From the days of eternity the Lord Jesus Christ was one with the Father; He was "the image of God," the image of His greatness and majesty, "the outshining of His glory." It was to manifest this glory that He came to our world. To this sin-darkened earth He came to reveal the light of God's love,--to be "God with us." Therefore it was prophesied of Him, "His name shall be called Immanuel."  {DA 19.1}

By coming to dwell with us, Jesus was to reveal God both to men and to angels. He was the Word of God,--God's thought made audible. In His prayer for His disciples He says, "I have declared unto them Thy name,"--"merciful and gracious, long-suffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,"--"that the love wherewith Thou hast loved Me may be in them, and I in them." But not alone for His earthborn children was this revelation given. Our little world is the lesson book of the universe. God's wonderful purpose of grace, the mystery of redeeming love, is the theme into which "angels desire to look," and it will be their study throughout endless ages.

Both the redeemed and the unfallen beings will find in the cross of Christ their science and their song. It will be seen that the glory shining in the face of Jesus is the glory of self-sacrificing love. In the light from Calvary it will be seen that the law of self-renouncing love is the law of life for earth and heaven; that the love which "seeketh not her own" has its source in the heart of God; and that in the meek and lowly One is manifested the character of Him who dwelleth in the light which no man can approach unto.  {DA 19.2}

Hanging upon the cross Christ was the gospel. Now we have a message, "Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins of the world." Will not our church members keep their eyes fixed on a crucified and risen Saviour, in whom their hopes of eternal life are centered? This is our message, our argument, our doctrine, our warning to the impenitent, our encouragement for the sorrowing, the hope for every believer. If we can awaken an interest in men's minds that will cause them to fix their eyes on Christ, we may step aside, and ask them only to continue to fix their eyes upon the Lamb of God. They thus receive their lesson. Whosoever will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. He whose eyes are fixed on Jesus will leave all. He will die to selfishness. He will believe in all the Word of God, which is so gloriously and wonderfully exalted in Christ.  {6BC 1113.1}

As the sinner sees Jesus as He is, an all compassionate Saviour, hope and assurance take possession of his soul. The helpless soul is cast without any reservation upon Jesus. None can bear away from the vision of Christ Jesus crucified a lingering doubt. Unbelief is gone (MS 49, 1898).  {6BC 1113.2} (Psa_85:10; see EGW on Jam_2:13.)

The Cross of Christ Moves the World.--The cross of Calvary challenges, and will finally vanquish every earthly and hellish power. In the cross all influence centers, and from it all influence goes forth. It is the great center of attraction; for on it Christ gave up His life for the human race. This sacrifice was offered for the purpose of restoring man to his original perfection. Yea, more, it was offered to give him an entire transformation of character, making him more than a conqueror.  {6BC 1113.3}

Christ declares, "I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." If the cross does not find an influence in its favor, it creates an influence. Through generation succeeding generation, the truth for this time is revealed as present truth. Christ on the cross was the medium whereby mercy and truth met together, and righteousness and peace kissed each other. This is the means that is to move the world (MS 56, 1899).  {6BC 1113.5}

Yes, Yahshua is our savior. It is by our faith/belief in him that we are saved.

We are saved by Faith alone(Ephesians 2:8-9) but we are justified by faith and works(James 2:14-26). So if we have faith we will keep the commandments of the Lord(Revelation 14:12-13; John 14:15-21). One of Those commandments, and one of those works that must be done, is that we must be born again(John 3:1-8; 1 Peter 1:23; Colossians 3:10; 2 Corinthians 5:15-17; Titus 3:5; John 1:11-13).

It is our faith that saves us but faith without works is dead(James 2:14-26). So we must follow the Law of Christ given to us to be justified by our works. The first thing we are supposed to do after we believe on Christ is be baptized in his name after repenting of our sins and forgiving all those who have sinned against us. This is the list of requirements for baptism, though the order in which we come to knowledge of the truth and believe these things will most likely differ. But we must believe them all.

Brother pronunciation isn't the problem, I've said as much on this forum. Even in Yahshua's time people were pronouncing his name differently. But they still used the same name Yahshua, they did not change his name from the Original Hebrew name, they just pronounced it a little different.

Yes Christ Yahshua has many secondary names/titles but he only has one proper name, Yahshua. It is in this proper name we are commanded to be baptized in. The only name given under heaven by which a man might achieve salvation.

Brother, Jesus is the Greek name man(not God) changed it to, I could post those same passages with the Correct and Proper name Yahshua.

I agree brother each of the Secondary names/titles have meaning. But none of those names bring salvation when baptizing a man, there is only one name not seven hundred. The one name is a Hebrew name given to the Son of God Yahshua.

Brother, a man is saved by faith alone. But he is justified by Faith and works. To baptized in the correct name is one of those works that must be completed. I have shown as much from word of God. Yes Christ is our savior and it is in his NAME Yahshua and his BLOOD we are saved. Being baptized into death through Christ and born again into life with him.

I agree brother circumcision of the flesh means nothing. We are now part of the circumcision of the heart and spirit under the Law of Christ. Romans 2:28-29; Acts
15:7-9; Romans 10:8; Colossians 2:11-13; Philippians 3:3

To be a New person, Born again, you must be born of WATER and SPIRIT. Unless you are baptized you cannot be born again in water and spirit, and cannot enter into the kingdom of Heaven.John 3:1-8; 1 Peter 1:23; Colossians 3:10; 2; Corinthians 5:15-17; Titus 3:5; John 1:11-13

Yes Yahshua is God manifest in the Flesh, the word of God. That whosever will believe on his name and follow his commandments will be saved.

 John 14:21,23
 21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Matt 28:19-20

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

John 15:7
 7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

The Apostles Kept the Commandment to baptize in the name of Yahshua the Christ. Reaffirming that is the only name given by which a man can be saved. They gave no commandment saying any other name was acceptable neither did they say to be baptized in just the character of his name. Always saying that baptism in the name of Yahshua was the only way.

Acts 2:38

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 19:5

When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

Acts 4:10-12

10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.

11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Acts 10:48

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

So that means, we are friends. And thats something we can build on here. I like your emphasis on scripture, but am concerned that you are posting as if to say we must all see it as you do, or we are ellible for the big deep friends coming up  Ill look forward to discussing more soon

Brother, I don't know where you are getting this idea. It is faith in Christ and what he did, that saves us. This includes us believing and having faith in the sacrifice he made and the blood of sprinkling that was put on the alter in heaven. This is the faith that saves us. Faith alone saves, but it is faith and works that we are justified by. Without faith works are dead, and without works faith is dead.

Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast.

James 2:14-26

14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,

16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?

17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.

19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?

22 Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

1)  Well, it seems that this thread is a never ending repeating of what has been posted before.

2)  I agree:  I am saddened by the  theology of one who has presented himself as having no assurance of salvation.

3)  I am astounded by the theology of one who believes he has been convicted by God on a point  for which God has  not provided him with the means to comply with What he believes God has commanded him to do.

4)  I find it of interest that   one who attempts to display knowledge of an ancient language actually shows the limitations of his knowledge of that language.

I guess this is enough for now.

2-3. How do you mean brother? I am assured that The lord will provide me with a brother that accepts the full truth and Gospel along with the true name. Until then I can only hope that the Lord will account my faith for righteousness by the works I am able to perform. The reason I question it is not because I am convicted by God I am Convicted and judged by the sins I have committed, as they are commanded against under the Law of Christ. I question it because I had a chance while my brother yet lived to be baptized but I cared to much for the world and did not leave it until to late, had I accepted sooner I might have been baptized and born again. I came to the Lord before brother mark's death, and had he lived we would have left shortly and been baptized and preached as the Apostles did, with nothing but the Clothes on our backs and the word of God.

4. Of Course I will say the limitations I have in regards to my Knowledge of Ancient Hebrew. If I claimed mastery I would be a liar, I don't have as great an understanding as brother mark. But with a strong's concordance I don't need a Mastery of the Language, only a basic understanding of it, since the truth is easily found if a man only looks.

May the Lord guide you to the truth and light of his word brother.

Here are a few different view points on the subject of the sacred name Yahshua. I don't agree with everything written in these articles/view points, but I do agree with some of what each has to say. I am providing these links to help explain the Importance of the Name and to provide different view points on the subject. We are to have an open mind and questions all things.

These people believe the name is Yahushua as they do not believe the name Yahshua is pronounced correctly and therefore believe it is false. I disagree with them in this regard as Yahshua can be pronounced as(Yah-shoo-ah) or(Yah-hoo-shoo-ah), as it was in Christ's day by those who spoke Aramaic as a first Language and those who spoke Hebrew as a first language. Outside of the spelling of the name there is much we agree on.

I have not checked whether or not the sources these people sited are Legitimate but, on the surface they seem to have most things in common with what I believe.

https://yrm.org/yahshua-vs-yeshua/

I disagree with some of what these people believe in, but they do a fairly good job explaining their view on the Name of Christ and of the Father.

As I said before I do not agree with everything these people are saying, I am only providing these to show a different way of thinking. And to show different ways people have come to name Yahshua and Yahweh. I do not endorse or support these sites or  these views. We are to question all things. Also I am not expecting/asking people to read through all of these and give a response, they are for consideration only.

May the Lord Guide you to the truth and light of his word.

The English and Hebrew above do NOT say the same thing.

And the English and Hebrew above do NOT say the same thing. If I was to read it it would be Ho-shu-yah. There is a difference. It would be helpful to know where this even came from.

Writing ancient Hebrew isn't my specialty so there might be slight error somewhere in the Hebrew writing.

This is why you should not be judging someone else's baptism when you have difficulties with the Hebrew name yourself. You have assumed the role of judge which in the NT is forbidden as the job of judge belongs to God and taking His place is to be antichrist.
