On the subject of righteous and unrighteous - good and evil:

In the Torah reading for this week, "the LORD" tells Abraham that He will not destroy Sodom if He finds 50 righteous living there.  Abraham then asks, "What if there are five less?"  The LORD says, "If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it."  Then forty.  Then thirty.  Then twenty.  Finally just 10.  And in the end, only Lot and his two daughters were "saved" from Sodom.  And we are left wondering about the "righteousness" of Lot's two daughters.

That's not many.   It's a TYPE of the number who will be "saved" from this earth at the LORD's glorious return.

Luke 17:29-30 "But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed." (NIV)

If the "fire" destroyed "all" who were left in Sodom, that would mean less than 10 in that city were "righteous".  Right?

If that's a picture of this earth just prior to Christ's return, Wow!   That's dark.  Not very many "righteous".  But it compares well with the number in the ark of Noah, compared to the number who drown.  (mind you:  I'm not saying babies and small children were "unrighteous".  I would call them undecided.)

NOTE:  I personally believe the "undecided" will be resurrected as "the rest of the dead" at the 8th millennium, to grow up, hear the things of God, and then choose whom they will serve.

Reminds me of

Jeremiah 3:14 "Come back to me, my wayward sons," says the LORD, "for I am your true master. If you do, I will take one of you from each town and two of you from each family group, and I will bring you back to Zion." (NET)

And that's from Israel.

Let's say 100 people lived in the Ancient city of Sodom.  10% would be 10 people.  Three people out of a hundred would be 3%.  What's 3% of the world's population past+present?  Answer:  about 450 million.

Not many compared to the 15 billion (past+present) who have lived on this earth.

No wonder the morality of this age will become so distorted - turned on its head.  Makes me think of ancient Rome, just prior to her "fall".

Joe; You are right that the town hall have to do with spiritual things. The last time I understood about spiritual things is keeping the Commandments! When did that become political? When I have read in this town hall many threads about how things are becoming more sinful. I have seen many including you, Rachel and Photdued give your various comments on many in society falling due to sin. Are they political?  We have commented on Biblical  leaders and today leaders and how events are taking place. Because I see the immoral acts of this man that does play in the events or signs of the time. I say it his character as a leader and the way you and other become so outraged proves the signs in the Bible. You have accuse me of saying something political about this man and I have not! I have asked you or anyone to just tell me what I have said reason about anything political. It has been you three that want to include the political things. You have become unhinge, unkind and resentful because of this person's actions that goes contrary to the Bible.

When you accuse someone, you should stand up and present to them what they are being accused of! I am asking all three of you to show me what political thing have I said about this person.

I said he is a liar where is that political, an adulterer, pedophilia (which has to do with children) and other acts against YAHWEH'S Commandments. So I want all of my accusers to show me anything that I have said is political or please stop saying things that are not true! Oh let's include one who said only the Democrats are corrupt! So, now ,that is not only political but untrue! My mother, who is asleep was a Democrats and she was not corrupt and how dare anyone should make that kind of statement. I know there are many Republicans who are not corrupt and I would never say anything like that about any body; a party does not make a person corrupt sin does!

Praying for truth!

So I want all of my accusers to show me anything that I have said is political

Any time someone in office (or running for office) is accused of something "immoral" - the accusation is rendered "political" because the accusation may help the opponent/s of the accused (running for the same political office).

This happens frequently when parties try to portray a policy (such as building a border fence) as "immoral" - say - because it is "not generous to the poor" etc.   Or labeling a border fence as "RACIST!" - because racism is understood to be "immoral".  Or labeling opposition to Medicare for all (including all illegal immigrants) as immoral.

Lots of "corruption" (skimming money, or obtaining money in shady or secret ways to enrich oneself while in office, or to enrich ones campaign) - on both sides (D & R).   Trump money is no "dirtier" than Biden money.

Lots of sexual sins.  Hillary took a whopping lot of money from Jeffrey Epstein, and shielded Harvey Weinstein (both were known to be sexual predators).  Hillary defended Bill by lying about the women he had assaulted.

Lots of lies on both sides.  (Example would be the false report obtained from Russian source by a foreign agent, paid for by the Hillary campaign, passed to the FBI, and used to obtain a warrant to monitor the Trump campaign).

Plenty of lies (lies are "immoral") on both sides.

We could start a whole forum and just trade accusations.   But I think all the TV/online networks have that covered.

I would rather discuss Biblical interpretation.

What name did I call him? It was not off the topic because you brought up pedophilia! I just including him and you can't stand it and I wonder why? Now it is names, next it will be something else but never show what politic I was talking about. That is sad!

So, when Clinton acted immoral that was political? Can you please show me where this is found because I never heard of such things in my life. I need to read on this because I don't claim I know everything, but I certainly didn't know this! First you invade threads, now breaking the Commandments is political. Well I guess reading the Bible, praying, worship are all political. Man have I been studying wrong! I took political government in college and my teachers never told me that religion and politics were the same thing.  I need to get in touch with University of Georgia and Georgia State Political Departments and their Religion Departments and tell them I just learn they are actually the same thing! I will be back and check this out on the internet for references because this is really got me! Wow, Rachel I am stun!

Well; not to take anyone's side on this point, but IMO, which at the moment is very humble (lol) I don't see how anyone can fault people for reading things into prophecy regarding any sitting president of the US. I mean, they are the top dog in the world. People are bound to see all kinds of things on this one!

I would add that Trump seems to be a little "in over his head," right now, and I have worried about him. He seems like he really wants to do the right thing; but he struggles because he is more of a business man than president of the most powerful country in the world. Very few people that critisize him are any more "moral" than he is, IMO.

The things that people count as flaws are in many ways the very reason he is so successful. Part of the problem for the Republicans for so long is that they usually showed up in golf clothing for a round of golf. Trump showed up with brass knuckles. Given what Trump has stood for and accomplished, it would not have mattered who was elected president as a Republican and accomplishing what Trump has that they would be in any better position and would probably be much worse off. We don't see how devoted to abortion the Dems are and Trump is a danger to that. Keep in mind that until the 2008 election, Dems loved Trump! Cross 'em and it is a knife in the back.

Trump has done more for America than ANY recent president and some would argue he is the best president ever!

Another little factoid I ran into. Except for Gerald Ford, every Republican president since Dwight Eisenhower has had some Democrat attempting to impeach them with varying degrees of success.

I will have in the next day or two an interesting post which looks  at how the current situation in the USA has already been an occurrence in Biblical history. Hopefully, that one can stay on topic and not turn into another Trump hating and name calling exercise.

I have no problem attributing lying and adultery (and a list of other sins) to politicians in general or certain groups of politicians.  IMHO, when it comes to constantly and consistently disrespecting, criticizing  and "judging" the sitting president, it becomes political.

It is sad that you consider Trump a pedophile for simply calling his daughter "hot".  That may be crude to some; but it is a way of saying his daughter is beautiful.  I thought my 16 year-old daughters were beautiful.  I may have even teasingly called them "hot" on occasion.  I don't think that makes me a pedophile; and I don't think President Trump calling his daughter hot makes him a pedophile, either.  IMHO, that is judging/condemning the man.  Since he is the sitting President, I would call that political.

Joe: That is not political at all when we are dealing with spiritual remarks. You and others who accept this man have said that he have acted and said very immoral things. Father's do not say that their daughters are hot! That is a very prerogative word that adult men say to women they want to become intimate with. Just because people are leaders of any political parties, we cannot as those who love THE MOST HIGH, condone their sinful actions. Now, if they show remorse and confess we should state that as well. This will show they are repentful and want to change. You know I do not care about parties if you wrong you are wrong! We should never allow them to say disrespectful words and actions in front of our children. Many people of both parties who are trying to lead a spiritual life have always stood for this. Now, I see that it is not like that in the once respectful Republican Party. I see them allow him to curse, lie and do some very immoral actions even blasphemy against THE MOST HIGH! Then become so angry when others speak out against like we have committed a crime. I have never seen so much viciousness like to rip people apart!

This is not right! It is not about parties here, is about standing firm to YAHWEH'S Moral Law regardless of parties, ethnic or religion. We should be able to comment with love for truth even when we have special ties to known people. Those who know that what he does that is sinful, should also speak out about it with others that accept your political views. When all will share with others it help him to change. You don't stand for his sinful ways. You come together and tell him to change your children see this! They will all respect you that you are a person of not only words but of action! Each one reach one!

Blessings!

I don't take sides either here because parties cannot save us. I an not concern about his business, and he is being a "little over his head." One is personal, the other is political and this is not the place for that. My concern is immoral things he do in front of our children and more so against THE MOST HIGH! I have seen all state that he is doing things wrong. If they know this speak up! Tell others who accept him like they do. They can tell them kindly to let him know that this is not acceptable. If they would work together, I believe they could reach out to him. We should always try to reach to others no matter who they are about the truth. That's is what I believe we all should do! Each one reach one!

You are correct Rachel. In Sodom, the angels told Lot to tell all of his adult children what was about to happen. They did not listen! But, they were warned twice. The first time when they were captured and brought back by Abraham. IsraEL had prophet after prophet to warn them. Today we are to speak and stand firm to truth also. I give no pleasure in seeing this man sinful ways, but it is wrong. Yes, many are immoral today and you cannot blame it on a party. I blame it on us who know and see immorality and do not kindly speak out. We don't need the fire and brimstone speech! We need to show love for one another and work together to let leaders know we stand for truth.

Homosexuality is in both parties and in religion that is wrong as well. We need to speak out but it has become political. We cannot force people to change. We show them by being kind. That is why we should never become politicians. But, we all can stand humbly for truth! Each one reach one!

Yet, you present a book that is trying to compare former President Clinton and his wife Hillary to Ahab and Jezebel. Then the man in the WH is supposed be Jehu and the writer of this book is suppose to be the prophet Elijah. This is totally not right at all! I know what he also is claiming about President Obama as well, I will not repeat it!

And YAHSHUA answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Mat 24:4

If you continue to read the Chapter, it clearly warns about people like this man will come to bring out false doctrines that is not in the Bible. I truly pray hard for people who hide and disguise what they do. What's done in the dark will come into the light! I plead with all to watch and pray!

Some of whats being posted here would patently deny this essential, Biblical fact. God didn't say anyone has to like DT or anyone else in power, but what He has said, and still says, is that He is in control and He sets up "kings" and brings them down, in His time, and in His way, and our opinions of the ones He died for usually have nothing to do with the REALITY.

Quote

"And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:" (Dan 2:21)

I hate to break it to some posting that JESUS DIED FOR DONALD TRUMP, so lets stop giving the public ideas that are not in scripture! HE IS ABLE to save to the uttermost!! Please, STOP saying that He is not! It doesn't work that way! NO Christian is any better than DT, so lets stop pretending that we are.

The most important cultural event supporting the book of Nehemiah, for another example here is the God directed kindness of Persian rulers who even in their desire to rule the world gave favor to the conquered Jews, recognizing the spiritual as well as cultural importance of Jerusalem and the temple to the nation of Israel. Both Cyrus and Darius as Persian kings displayed benevolence toward Israel that God directed. It is important to note the hand of God upon these kings to orchestrate blessings for Christians today, and I dont see anything "wrong" about people who want to acknowledge that God is operating the controls with DT, and some of us need to just get out of His way.

Given the place of the "lamb that came up on dry ground" in bible prophecy, I would think that anything that happens in the flow of politics in the USA occurs with the permission of God or under His direction. If you can see the flow of prophecy and what the election of Donald Trump has done to the American mindset, the better or for worse to come, DT is doing an important part in the unfolding of last day events.

If/when the opposition replaces DT, they also will play an important part in the unfolding of last-day events. Free "everything", plus a "living stipend" along with unlimited abortion,  LGBT rights forced upon people of faith, and the removal of all things Christian from schools and government buildings will likely bankrupt the nation; and the world will follow.

Oh ... we're already over $20 trillion in debt.  Are we already economically bankrupt?  All things spiritual have already been banned from schools and secular businesses. Are we already spiritually bankrupt?
