Yes- when He saw that every thought of man was evil continually (Gen.6:5-8)

You guys are SO SMART!!!

Here's the next question. It's typically David- although in the final analysis he was a man after God's own heart, he did come out with stuff like this occasionally. And because he was a man of war, he was disallowed of God to build a temple for Him.

So, here we go:

What reason does David give in Psalm 35 to persuade God to smite his enemies?

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Nope. Try again

Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Because "they" have strove against him, plotted against him, David, sought his life, plotted his hurt, have dug a "pit" for him and spread a net over it so that he would fall into it.

David said that he humbled himself with fasting and prayer and mourned greatly for those who caused his hurt and mourned for them as one would for a brother or mother.

When he is vindicated and saved by the Lord from his enemies, then David will speak of His/ The Lord's righteousness and of His praise all the day long.

Yes, Morning Glory, that was what I was looking for- so that God can be magnified and David can speak of His righteousness all the day long. Ps.35:27,28

That took a little exercising of the mental faculties! But that's all part of the fun :)

Okay- on to the next:

The answer I was looking for was the Feast of Booths, or Feast of Ingathering (Ex.23:16) Israel's Feast of Booths was similar to our Camp meeting, in that people would camp out under booths that they made of palm branches
