Administrators Gail Posted March 24, 2009 Author Administrators Posted March 24, 2009 Yes, he was a servant of King Elah. Asa ruled in Judah, and Elah had Israel. Zimri was a commander of chariots, for sure. He killed Elah, not liking his drinking habit. He took over the throne and killed Elah's relatives, destroying all the household of Baasha (Elah's father). Interesting! And the references you quoted are correct. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 26, 2009 Members Posted March 26, 2009 Where was Adam when the serpent spoke to Eve? (good question!) He was with Eve. Genesis 3:6 Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Administrators Gail Posted March 26, 2009 Author Administrators Posted March 26, 2009 That's what Gen.3:6 says, although in the prior verses notice it was Eve doing all the talking. It's hard to believe that Adam would have just stood there right beside her and not say anything. It could be that Eve became separated for the conversation and then either Adam caught up with her or was nearby when the actual picking took place. We do know for sure that when she started eating he was right beside her to share of it. Sad story... Anyway, let's try another one: What group of men, identified by a name that means "messenger," will have their names written on the walls of the New Jerusalem?
