Savior, like a shepherd lead us,

much we need thy tender care;

in thy pleasant pastures feed us,

for our use thy folds prepare.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!

Thou hast bought us, thine we are.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!

Thou hast bought us, thine we are.

2. We are thine, thou dost befriend us,

be the guardian of our way;

keep thy flock, from sin defend us,

seek us when we go astray.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!

Hear, O hear us when we pray.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!

Hear, O hear us when we pray.

3. Thou hast promised to receive us,

poor and sinful though we be;

thou hast mercy to relieve us,

grace to cleanse and power to free.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!

We will early turn to thee.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!

We will early turn to thee.

4. Early let us seek thy favor,

early let us do thy will;

blessed Lord and only Savior,

with thy love our bosoms fill.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!

Thou hast loved us, love us still.

Blessed Jesus, blessed Jesus!

Thou hast loved us, love us still.

May we be one so that the world may be won.

Then Jesus Came

Then Jesus Came

Music by Homer Rodeheaver

Words by Oswald J. Smith

(G) One sat alone beside the highway (Am) begging

His eyes were (D) blind, the Light he could not (G) see

He clutched his (Eb) rags and shivered in the (F) shadows

Then Jesus (D) came and bid the darkness (G) flee

-Chorus-

When Jesus (D) comes the tempter's power is (G) broken

When Jesus (D) comes, all tears are wiped a(G)way

He takes the (G) gloom and (G7) fills my heart with © glory

For all is (G)changed when (D)Jesus comes to(G) stay.

-2-

"Unclean! Unclean!" the leper cried in torment,

The deaf, the dumb, in helplessness stood near;

The fever raged, disease had gripped its victim

Then Jesus came and cast out ev'ry fear.

-3-

From home and friends the evil spirits drove him,

Among the tombs he dwelt in misery;

He cut himself as demon pow'rs possessed him,

Then Jesus came, and set the captive free.

-4-

So men today have found the Saviour able,

They could not conquer passion, lust and sin;

Their broken hearts had left them sad and lonely,

Then Jesus came and dwelt, Himself, within.

May we be one so that the world may be won.

Wow, I have a pile of Rhodeheaver books! So used to love to sing from them while my Mom played the piano.
