Woody Posted February 21, 2009 Author Posted February 21, 2009 THERE IS POWER IN THE BLOOD Would you be free from the burden of sin? There's power in the blood, power in the blood; Would you over evil a victory win? There's wonderful power in the blood. There is power, power, wonder working power In the blood of the Lamb; There is power, power, wonder working power In the precious blood of the Lamb. Would you be free from your passion and pride? There's power in the blood, power in the blood; Come for a cleansing to Calvary's tide; There's wonderful power in the blood. There is power, power, wonder working power In the blood of the Lamb; There is power, power, wonder working power In the precious blood of the Lamb. Would you be whiter, much whiter than snow? There's power in the blood, power in the blood; Sin stains are lost in its life giving flow. There's wonderful power in the blood. There is power, power, wonder working power In the blood of the Lamb; There is power, power, wonder working power In the precious blood of the Lamb. Would you do service for Jesus your King? There's power in the blood, power in the blood; Would you live daily His praises to sing? There's wonderful power in the blood. There is power, power, wonder working power In the blood of the Lamb; There is power, power, wonder working power In the precious blood of the Lamb. Words & Music by Lewis E. Jones, 1899 Jones wrote this song at a camp meeting at Mountain Lake Park, Maryland. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted February 25, 2009 Author Posted February 25, 2009 It is no secret what God can do The chimes of time ring out the news Another day is through Someone slipped and fell Was that someone you? You may have longed for added strength Your courage to renew Do not be disheartened For I have news for you It is no secret what God can do What He's done for others, He'll do for you With arms wide open, He'll pardon you It is no secret what God can do There is no night for in His light You never walk alone Always feel at home Wherever you may go There is no power can conquer you While God is on your side Take Him at His promise Don't run away and hide It is no secret what God can do What He's done for others, He'll do for you With arms wide open, He'll pardon you It is no secret what God can do TRIVIA: The title for this song is thought to have been taken from a chance remark that actor John Wayne once made to Staurt Hamblen. The writer then proceeded to complete the song in under ten minutes. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted February 26, 2009 Author Posted February 26, 2009 This morning I awoke with a song that God put in my heart. This does not often happen. It used to but it has been awhile. So, I just want to thank God for it. The song was "People need the Lord". It has been some time since I have heard this song. But God gave it to me this morning for some reason. I am still trying to figure why. But I have done some contimplating on it. Hope it will do something for you also. People Need The Lord Everyday they pass me by, I can see it in their eyes. Empty people filled with care, Headed who knows where? On they go through private pain, Living fear to fear. Laughter hides their silent cries, Only Jesus hears. People need the Lord, people need the Lord. At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door. People need the Lord, people need the Lord. When will we realize, people need the Lord? We are called to take His light To a world where wrong seems right. What could be too great a cost For sharing Life with one who's lost? Through His love our hearts can feel All the grief they bear. They must hear the Words of Life Only we can share. People need the Lord, people need the Lord At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door. People need the Lord, people need the Lord. When will we realize that we must give our lives, For peo-ple need the Lord. People need the Lord. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

Woody Posted April 4, 2009 Author Posted April 4, 2009 I’ve wandered far away from God, Now I’m coming home; The paths of sin too long I’ve trod, Lord, I’m coming home. Refrain: Coming home, coming home, Nevermore to roam; Open wide Thine arms of love, Lord, I’m coming home. I’ve wasted many precious years, Now I’m coming home; I now repent with bitter tears, Lord, I’m coming home. I’m tired of sin and straying, Lord, Now I’m coming home; I’ll trust Thy love, believe Thy word, Lord, I’m coming home. My soul is sick, my heart is sore, Now I’m coming home; My strength renew, my home restore, Lord, I’m coming home. My only hope, my only plea, Now I’m coming home; That Jesus died, and died for me, Lord, I’m coming home. I need His cleansing blood I know, Now I’m coming home; Oh, wash me whiter than the snow, Lord, I’m coming home. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Woody Posted May 9, 2009 Author Posted May 9, 2009 I Am Thine, O Lord Text: Fanny J. Crosby, 1820-1915 Music: William H. Doane, 1832-1915 Tune: I AM THINE, Meter: 10 7.10 7 with Refrain -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. I am thine, O Lord, I have heard thy voice, and it told thy love to me; but I long to rise in the arms of faith and be closer drawn to thee. Refrain: Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, to the cross where thou hast died. Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord, to thy precious, bleeding side. 2. Consecrate me now to thy service, Lord, by the power of grace divine; let my soul look up with a steadfast hope, and my will be lost in thine. (Refrain) 3. O the pure delight of a single hour that before thy throne I spend, when I kneel in prayer, and with thee, my God, I commune as friend with friend! (Refrain) 4. There are depths of love that I cannot know till I cross the narrow sea; there are heights of joy that I may not reach till I rest in peace with thee. (Refrain) Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.

All Rights Reserved Precious memories, unseen angels, Sent from somewhere to my soul; How they linger, ever near me, And the sacred past unfold. Chorus Precious memories, how they linger, How they ever flood my soul; In the still ness of the midnight, Precous, sacred scenes unfold. Precious father, loving mother, Fly across the lonely years; And old homescenes of my childhood, In fond memory appears. Chorus Precious memories, how they linger, How they ever flood my soul; In the still ness of the midnight, Precous, sacred scenes unfold. In the stillness of the midnight, Echoes from the past I hear; Old time singing, gladness bringing, From that lovely land somewhere. Chorus Precious memories, how they linger, How they ever flood my soul; In the still ness of the midnight, Precous, sacred scenes unfold. As I travel on life's pathway, Know not what the years may hold; As I ponder, hope grows fonder, Precious memories flood my soul.
