Administrators Gail Posted January 14, 2012 Administrators Posted January 14, 2012 But until then our heart will go on singing, Until then with joy we'll carry on, Until the day our eyes behold the city, Until the day God calls us home. Our hearts will go on singing With joy we will carry on- Through pain and sorrow, through stress and anxiety. This verse expresses hope amid trial and suffering. Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.

Liz Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I just wanted to say Thank You, Woody and also to Teresaq(sda), for getting me to see hymns in an all new way. We were all kind of under the weather today so we didn't get to go to church, we had Sabbath school at home though, and at the end we read My Lord and I in poem form, each of us taking a stanza and then saying what it meant. It was one of the neatest ways to have a sermon, and more importantly my son (who happens to be in a rebellious phase at the moment) said he really enjoyed it and that we should do that more often (cue my heart to soar here). So THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart!!!! Quote For what will a man be profited, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his soul? Mat. 16:26Please, support the JDRF and help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes. Please, support the March of Dimes.
Woody Posted January 15, 2012 Author Posted January 15, 2012 How COOL !!! Thanks for the testimony. Yes, hymns are an everlasting and enjoyable sermon ready at hand. Glad you and your kids were blessed. Gotta run. I'm watching the American beauties on the Miss America Pagent. Can't miss a moment. Sorry. Talk at ya later. Woody Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 My doc told me this week that I could start taking the cast off for a few hours a day. So things are looking up. I went to church this morning with out it. Praise the Lord. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology.
Administrators Naomi Posted January 22, 2012 Administrators Posted January 22, 2012 That is great news! I know your healing will continue and soon this will only be a memory. If you have put We Have This Hope up before, I am sorry I missed it. It is one that has been "hanging" in my mind recently. Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
Administrators Naomi Posted January 22, 2012 Administrators Posted January 22, 2012 Have we any hope within us of a life beyond the grave, In the sweet and vernal lands? Do we know if this, our tabernacle, were to be dissolved, We’ve a house not made with hands? Refrain: We have a hope within our souls, Brighter than the perfect day: God has given us His Spirit, And we want the world to hear it, All the doubts are passed away. Blessed hope we have within us is an anchor to the soul, It is both steadfast and sure; It is founded on the promises of Father’s written word, And ’twill evermore endure. Hope has brought us through the dangers and temptations of the past, And we fear not those to come; By her blessings we’ll go forward, while our mortal life shall last, Then we’ll joyously go home. Since we’ve walked the strait and narrow way our path has ever shone Brighter, brighter, day by day; Hope within our hearts assures us it is better farther on, It is brighter all the way. Life will end in joyful singing, “I have fought a faithful fight,” Then we’ll lay our armor down; And our soul will break the cable here, and take its happy flight, To possess a starry crown. Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God

Administrators Naomi Posted January 30, 2012 Administrators Posted January 30, 2012 Woody, I can't believe I missed seeing that you had put this up. When Martin Luther wrote these words I am sure he must have been deeply moved. Our God is a 'Mighty Fortress' beyond our most vivid visions! The video makes it even more beautiful. Thank you. Woody Posted February 4, 2012 Author Posted February 4, 2012 More about Jesus would I know, More of His grace to others show; More of His saving fullness see, More of His love Who died for me. Refrain More, more about Jesus, More, more about Jesus; More of His saving fullness see, More of His love Who died for me. More about Jesus let me learn, More of His holy will discern; Spirit of God, my teacher be, Showing the things of Christ to me. Refrain More about Jesus; in His Word, Holding communion with my Lord; Hearing His voice in every line, Making each faithful saying mine. Refrain More about Jesus; on His throne, Riches in glory all His own; More of His kingdom’s sure increase; More of His coming, Prince of Peace. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Administrators Naomi Posted February 5, 2012 Administrators Posted February 5, 2012 I find this so interesting that you would post More About Jesus because it was our opening song for Sabbath School today. The line which you highlighted, "More of His grace for others show" is such an important part of our Christian experience. Quote: More about Jesus let me learn, More of His holy will discern; Spirit of God, my teacher be, Showing the things of Christ to me. Woody Posted March 17, 2012 Author Posted March 17, 2012 King of my life, I crown Thee now, Thine shall the glory be; Lest I forget Thy thorn-crowned brow, Lead me to Calvary. Lest I forget Gethsemane; Lest I forget Thine agony; Lest I forget Thy love for me, Lead me to Calvary. Show me the tomb where Thou wast laid, Tenderly mourned and wept; Angels in robes of light arrayed Guarded Thee whilst Thou slept. (Chorus) Let me like Mary, through the gloom, Come with a gift to Thee; Show to me now the empty tomb, Lead me to Calvary. (Chorus) May I be willing, Lord, to bear Daily my cross for Thee; Even Thy cup of grief to share, Thou hast borne all for me. (Chorus) Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Woody Posted March 22, 2012 Author Posted March 22, 2012 What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus; What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Refrain: Oh! precious is the flow That makes me white as snow; No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. For my pardon, this I see, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; For my cleansing this my plea, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Nothing can for sin atone, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; Naught of good that I have done, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. This is all my hope and peace, Nothing but the blood of Jesus; This is all my righteousness, Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Now by this I’ll overcome— Nothing but the blood of Jesus; Now by this I’ll reach my home— Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Glory! Glory! This I sing— Nothing but the blood of Jesus, All my praise for this I bring— Nothing but the blood of Jesus. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won.
