Administrators Gail Posted July 9, 2013 Administrators Posted July 9, 2013 I will add her and her family to my prayer journal for ongoing prayer. It IS a crazy town :) Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Administrators Naomi Posted July 11, 2013 Administrators Posted July 11, 2013 Yes, I will also keep them on my prayer list. The I-Phone picture is very good, must agree that the oil is even better. Both capture so much movement. Times Square is always full of activity ... I do love NY's energy but do not know if I would want to live there. Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
Members phkrause Posted July 11, 2013 Members Posted July 11, 2013 Great photo John. NYC is one great city. Hope she can get to a game or Two. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
Members phkrause Posted July 11, 2013 Members Posted July 11, 2013 Have lived in NY for about 25 years, which is most of my childhood, into my early adult life. If the opportunity ever arose for moving back, I'd do it. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

Moderators John317 Posted July 13, 2013 Author Moderators Posted July 13, 2013 Hey John, is that what they call painting the town? I sure hope it's the only way I ever hear of "painting the town" in relationship to my little girl. I found out by looking at mapquest that she is actually 10 blocks from Yankee Stadium, and about 4 blocks from Washington Bridge where it crosses over Harlem River. I had no idea when I was 19 and walking around NYC that I would one day have a 21 year old daughter living in the Bronx. I haven't been there since 1970. Now my wife wants to go. So I guess I'll have to go back there with her some time. Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
