Guest Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Don't worry John, you don't look like Maxwell. I've seen you up close. I wish we lived a little closer together. I'm about ready to go to another "All You Can Eat Everything Bar" . :) Quote
Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted September 15, 2012 Moderators Posted September 15, 2012 Oh John, thank you for this portrait of Elder Graham Maxwell. He is one of my favorite people of all time. Where in the LLU Library is this portrait hanging?? And do you recall who the artist was/is? Whoever painted him, caught his personality beautifully. He was such a "people person" and so friendly to everybody. Thank you for this! Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
Moderators John317 Posted September 23, 2012 Author Moderators Posted September 23, 2012 Yes, a very good painting of Graham Maxwell. I'm sorry I don't recall the name of the artist, but you can see it on the second floor of the LLU library. There are portraits of many faculty members which you'll see on the south side of the wall. Oh I'm not worried for me-- I was worried for Graham. LOL I think he was a very handsome man, also very gracious and "winsome," to use a favorite expression of his. Yes, that would be fun all right, but I would have to be sure to get there exactly at 3 PM so we could eat at the same time. lol Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Moderators John317 Posted September 26, 2012 Author Moderators Posted September 26, 2012 Hey, Richard-- I'm very glad to know you like that picture. I like it very much, too. It is actually of a cousin that my uncle and I went to see a few days ago. He plays in a rock band at some clubs. He's a Vietnam Vet and had a very bad experience in the war which I've never heard him tell about. He came back the war badly scarred both physically and emotionally.
