doug yowell Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 They plan a church wedding soon. They met in high school here in California. He's the oldest son in a very large Christian/protestant family (10 siblings!) who live near Mexico City. He speaks an indian dialect plus Spanish and pretty good English. They live near Tampa, Fl. He doesn't look too happy about it?? Quote

Moderators John317 Posted October 8, 2012 Author Moderators Posted October 8, 2012 Both my son and and I have very fast metabolisms. One thing you may forget, Richard, is that when you saw me eat, I hadn't had a big meal in a long time because I had been on the road for weeks. I had last eaten when I was with a friend of mine in Greenville several days before that. I was on a diet essentially of bananas and apples and water. Lost at least 15 lbs on my trip. Let's just say I'm fortunate to have a fast metabolism and so is my son. I hope it stays that way. Seriously, though, I don't eat at home anything like I do at an all-you-can eat salad bar. I sometimes go all day without eating much at all, but then when I do eat, I put it away pretty good. Not too many foods that I don't like. Moderators John317 Posted October 8, 2012 Author Moderators Posted October 8, 2012 That's what I thought too but I think he was just nervous. Also, he might have been smiling just before they took the picture. That happens. A picture can make it look like you were on drugs or were asleep because it is only a fraction of a second. lol Quote John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Moderators John317 Posted October 8, 2012 Author Moderators Posted October 8, 2012 I think the problem was that when we were at the restaraunt, all you did was keep track of what I was eating because you were in a hurry to leave. Maybe if you'd been eating, you wouldn't have been thinking about how much I was putting away. Moderators Nan Posted October 12, 2012 Moderators Posted October 12, 2012 Wow, John, I love that effect. We were in Coos Bay as part of our recent trip - back in Australia now though not back home yet to Sydney. This weekend celebrating the 5th birthday of my twin grand daughters, a day that also is Sammy's and my wedding anniversary. This picture was taken on the morning of October 3. We had met up with Neil the night before. And thanks Doug. Quote
