I also used the logic that if all of the simple rules of conduct indicated by the Scriptures, took that much space to arrive at a useful conclusion for beneficial behavior, we would need a book many more pages in size than the encyclopedia britannica to contain all that is needed to know. I appreciate Jesus' book of Words as far more simple and useful. Very useful for just a person as simple as myself. Thank you for your effort though. God blesses some people with wealth and they fail miserably. He has a special place in hell designated for those that misuse His blessings. First, I'd like to know where in the Scriptures this particular place for the unfaithful rich is located. And second, why would God set up man for a fall in giving him that which He knows man is highly susceptible to failure? Could it be faithful men are given riches because God knows that the proper use of riches enables man to spread what riches bring, to those who are exploited by the ungodly, not to mention spreading the good news through the proper stewardship of what God has granted. "And his master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly; for the sons of this age are more shrewd in relation to their own kind than the sons of light. "And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by means of the wealth of unrighteousness, so that when it fails, they will receive you into the eternal dwellings. Yet, even without the bubble popping, many areas of the country were not affected by the housing bubble. Much of Texas was fine. My property value never went down due to the bubble popping. I would say that in the vast majority of cases, real estate is a safer investment than gold or silver. Gold and silver go up and down in value. Real estate tends to hold its value and slowly rise.
