This quote is not from the pen of inspiration.

"Through the merits of the Redeemer, God accepts the efforts of sinful man in keeping His law, which is holy, just and good" Sons and Daughters of God p. 41

And these efforts that God accepts through the merits of Christ are the result of humanity and divinity combined. See F.W.27.

Not sure whether the underlined above was referring to the quote above it or below. But I do know what the Word says about righteousness. And whether it is Jesus actually performing or enabling me to perform, the important thing is that it is performed, to the honor and glory of God.

"If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

" 1 John 2:29 NKJV

"Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous." 1 John 3:7 NKJV

It was the one above.

In order to get it done, we must trust wholly in the merits of Jesus. Then humanity and divinity are combined and the work will be a complete success for Christ's righteousness accomplishes everything. See F.W.27.

Those who are living upon the earth when the intercession of Christ shall cease in the sanctuary above, are to stand in the sight of a holy God without a mediator. Their robes must be spotless, their characters must be purified from sin by the blood of sprinkling. Through the grace of God and their own diligent effort, they must be conquerors in the battle with evil. While the investigative Judgment is going forward in Heaven, while the sins of penitent believers are being removed from the sanctuary, there is to be a special work of purification, of putting away of sin, among God's people upon earth. This work is more clearly presented in the messages of Revelation 14. {GC88 425.1}

Not to comment on the veracity of the above, but to allow the Word to give all the assurance necessary to have faith that Jesus has the ability to keep them for the kingdom.

"Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”" Hebrews 13:5 NKJV

It is my confidence, that means for all the future, Jesus will not leave those who invite His presence to be with them.

"...that no flesh should glory in His presence. But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption— that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.”[a]"1 Corinthians 1:29-31 NKJV

Seems plain.

The Lord says, "I the Lord speak righteousness." Isaiah 45:19,23.

It is the Word (and Christ is the Word) which accomplishes everything. Christ the Word is creative energy. He says, "My word shall accomplish that which I please," unless we refuse to consent for the Word to have free course in us to fulfill every jot and tittle of what is expressed in the Word.

The important thing is look to Jesus and accept His merits which it is our privilege to claim and then the Word accomplishes everything for without Him we can do nothing. "In the work of God humanity can originate nothing." C.O.L.418.

Praise God!! Even the works of darkness could not be accomplished for the dark kingdom, were it not for the mercy of the Creator.

Knowing God to be Love makes it easy to accept this promise.

The sinful nature is removed at the resurrection.

Many of the saints who died in ages past will have some sin or some defect that they have repented of - but struggled with - maybe until the day they died.

But those who live at a time when Christ is no longer Mediator and no longer Intercessor face an entirely unique scenario unlike any sinner who has ever lived in all of time.

No way around that.

Call it "present truth" if you like.

in Christ,

Bob

Why would anyone need a mediator when their case has been decided?

A careful review of Heb 9 and Christ's role as intercessor and mediator shows very little focus on "cases decided" and very much focus on obtaining forgiveness for sins.

As Peter said we believe in the "forgiveness of sins that are past". (2Peter 1).

As we learned in our SS lesson this quarter - the role of Christ as our mediator and "advocate with the Father" is key to obtaining the result of "forgiveness" when the saints sin.

Living at a time when that role has ended would be unique in all of time.

in Christ,

Bob

Nothing wrong with the dream where Candace is mentioned. The problem is not the dream, it is the made up story of Candace. There is a difference. Time is short, and God is bringing it to the forefront through Ernie Knoll, as well as others.

He is still an SDA whether his & Becky's name is on the SDA books or not.

Oh. Seems a little deceptive to say one is a Seventh day Adventist when one isn't ... huh?

Start your own church. Do what you want ... but don't say you are an SDA when you are not.

I guess if one can lie about dreams ... you can lie about being a Seventh day Adventist.

The church membership books are earthly books, the heavenly books are the books are the ones we need to be concerned about.

A person can have his name on the SDA church books and be the furthest thing from an SDA christian. What matters is that Jesus abides in the heart. That is what makes a person an SDA christian.
