There are 12 standards outlined in the Church manual that could be considered cause for dismembership, the highest level of discipline.

#1 is,

"1. Denial of faith in the fundamentals of the gospel and in the cardinal doctrines of the church or teaching doctrines contrary to the same.

There are many steps that precede any action of course, and considerable time should be allowed. Love given the utmost consideration through out. But at some point, certain minimum standards have to be upheld.

Asking questions concerning doctrine, with a sincere heart, not being convicted of a certain doctrines, etc. as opposed to openly teaching contrary doctrines is what the members must weigh. Not an easy task.

Like David, most of us like God's standards. (Romans 7:22; 8:4; Psalms 119:92-94).

It is the rebellious heart that hates them. (Romans 8:7-8).

"Most" don't follow the GC, Conference, local church rules? Thats a gross mistatement, we've heard this accusation before, repeating it doesn't make it any more true today than it did yesterday. It's still misleading. We have a church manual that MOST Seventh-day Adventist churches follow.

To wit, to be a deacon, Elder, teacher, member, to be baptized to hold any church office you have to meet certain minimum standards. Where are those standards found? The church manual for one, as accepted by the GC, Conference and Pastor of our local churches.

It is folly to suggest that "most" Adventist churches have thrown it out. You WISH they did, you WISH folks would believe this lie, you wish in vain.

I have participated in so many "nominating committees" I cannot count them anymore.

Not one single nominating process ever went by the "church manual".

The only thing anyone ever wanted to know was "were these people 'tithe payers'".

If a person payed their tithe they were in good standing.

It was always all about money.

Case closed.

The "church manual" is just a dust collector.
