When the law is in our hearts and is our love too then we keep it willingly and wanting to. We are not no longer under the law as it is in us and part of us too.

That is the relationship we must come to have and find. How hard is that when He first loved us and died for us when we did not deserve anything but death? How can we not love Him with all our hearts and souls. When we do we are not wanting to do a thing outside of the law. We are now TOTALLY FREE MEN AND WOMEN within His will for us.

Now you will have a peace that passeth understanding. How much do I love Him is the question to ask ourselves. How much will we give. Won't we give our all? How can you have any peace giving one little thing to the destroyer?

We can't, we have come to the place where we proclaim "I hate sin".

Ro 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Really? The law brings you peace? Are you living Christ's life? That's the fulfillment of the law. If not, the law brings you condemnation, not peace!

If we have His Love we are living Christ's life, yes of course. Love is the answer to keeping the law, the law of love. If one is not keeping it, it proves he don't have that Love!

Joh 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

He who does has peace assured, he who don't is back under the law and it torments him until he grieves away the Holy Spirit or dies a sinner.

Then John echoes it strongly,

1Jo 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1Jo 2:5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

If we have His Love we are living Christ's life, yes of course.

No, you aren't living Christ's life.

He who says, “I am holy, I am sinless,” is self-deceived. Some have said this, and some even dare to say, “I am Christ.” To entertain such a thought is blasphemy. Not to see the marked contrast between Christ and ourselves is not to know ourselves. He who does not abhor himself can not understand the meaning of redemption. RH Sep 25, 1900

1 John 1:8 If we say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth (Christ) isn't in us.

So, you have it 100% backwards, Gibs.

Robert, just because one has sinned in the past, doesn't mean he has to continue in sin. That is what you uphold but I do not. We do not have to continue in sin. That is a lie. Remember what Paul said, - -

Ro 6:1 ¶ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

Ro 6:2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Christ in you and you have the same power as He did to walk as He did and no excuse is valid. You even have an advantage, Satan and his see Christ dwelling in you and they know they are defeated. He broke the ice and made it so you are more than a conqueror IF YOU WILL. Yes it is the power of the will. Can't never did anything.

None and I repeat, none can be saved and continue in sin.

Ro 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

I, the Word of God and Sister White have no hesitancy,

"We have no hesitancy in telling you that in order to obtain the immortal inheritance and the eternal substance, you must be overcomers in this probationary life. Everything that blots and stains the soul must be removed, must be cleansed from the heart. We must know what it means to be a partaker of the divine nature, having escaped the corruptions that are in the world through lust. Are you willing to wage war against the lusts of the flesh? Are you ready to battle against the enemy of God and man? Satan is determined to enslave every soul if he can; for he is playing a desperate game to win the souls of men from Christ and eternal life. Will you permit him to steal from you the graces of the Spirit of God, and plant in you his own corrupt nature? or will you accept the great provision of salvation, and through the merits of the Infinite Sacrifice made in your behalf, become a partaker of the divine nature? God has given his only-begotten Son, that through his shame, suffering, and death, you might have glory, honor, and immortality. Are you not willing to lay hold on the gracious hope set before you in the gospel? Is it humiliating to seek to win a crown of immortal glory?" {ST, June 15, 1891 par. 4}

Next verse is why we can overcome sin as He would have us in this our sphere!

We should all teach that we are to be overcomers, the power and way is made for us to do it!

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Robert, just because one has sinned in the past, doesn't mean he has to continue in sin.

That's not what Paul states. In Romans 3:23 he say, "All have sinned (past tense) and fall short of the glory of God (His agape love)." "And fall short" is in the present continuous tense.

So according to Paul you are failing to live Christ's life of agape. No?

Robert, It don't matter to you if I am not walking and living Christ's life, what should matter to you or anyone, am I and why not? Yes we all have fallen in sin but he makes it clear, that he clears our slate and then with Him indwelling we are to walk as He did, we are given the same power. He took no power but is ours for the taking. We just need to go to Him and take it. Yes all must be surrendered, but this seems to be the problem, most will not do it. We have nothing worth clinging to. Are we to love our sin more than Him. Do we love Satan more than God. We are subjects of whom we obey are we not.

Self must be denied, actually killed and Jesus says to us,

Mr 8:34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.

Mr 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Mr 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Mr 8:37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

That cherished little ole sin for the soul?

Sister White tells us the same and she is right on with the Word of God,

The service of Christ demands prompt obedience. We are to walk as he walked, following closely in his footsteps, manifesting his meekness and lowliness. "Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" "He that saith he abideth in him, ought himself also so to walk even as he walked." The service of Christ is pure and elevated. The path he traveled is not one of self-pleasing, self-gratification. He speaks to his children, saying, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me." The price of heaven is submission to Christ. The way to heaven is obedience to the command, Deny thyself, take up thy cross, and follow me. As Jesus journeyed, so we must journey. The path he followed, we must follow; for that path leads to the mansions he is preparing for us. {RH, April 24, 1900 par. 9}

How can we keep denying Him when,

Col 1:27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Robert, It don't matter to you if I am not walking and living Christ's life, what should matter to you or anyone, am I and why not?

This is confusing. Please reword the above....

OK, Robert, yes each of us must ask ourselves IF we are walking and living and walking as Christ did. If our answer is no, why not? What reason is there one can have, that one cannot? Christ in you and you have His overcoming power.

We refuse Him in actuality if we don't!

Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

The Greatest one in us is the answer and we must love Him with ALL OUR HEARTS AND SOULS. And that walk is not only easy but is uplifting and is our desire to do.

Some have a goal to make sanctification the enemy of justification.

God has a goal to change our lives.

That's nice, but it is not in addition to what He did 2000 years ago. In Christ you are already complete, period. Any works that come from that relationship do not merit salvation. Do you understand?

Posted

All must understand that we must be overcomers is what I understand and know without a shadow of a doubt. When one is complete in Christ he will walk with Him and as He would here today.

Too many have it drilled in the head that just believe and you are saved. You can believe and know He is true and that salvation comes through Him but when one is continuing in sin he is not saved. We are saved from past sin at true repentance and saved from sinning in our lives now.

Satan is the liar that says Gods law cannot be kept. No not by the rebellious it cannot.

Yes He in you is all power that Heaven can bestow upon us but if we WILL NOT, there is nothing He can do further for us.

Who will you let be the master, Christ or Satan, whom do you love with all the heart and soul. If it is Christ, we love and want to do His Will and nothing for Satan at all. We have come to the place we hate sin.

It is the will that is it, whom will we follow, whom will we allow only to be our master. One cannot serve two masters, Jesus won't have that, we must be ALL His.

Re 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

All must understand that we must be overcomers.....

What you are teaching comes from hell! What you are teaching is Roman Catholicism. You are teaching salvation by works. This is the doctrine of devils.

Posted

Too many have it drilled in the head that just believe and you are saved.

The above comes from Satan, the Father of lies. He has deceived Gibs into this Galatian gospel, which teaches and fosters pride in one's works, but it's damnable lie.

Anyone who accepts his gospel automatically becomes twice the son of hell for Gibs teaches that Christ's doing & dying is not enough; that we must add to Christ's imperfect work. Hence we must be Holy as God is Holy.

I'm warning anyone who has ears to hear that Gib's gospel is from hell. Why? Instead of resting in Christ's finished works Gibs wants to get you sidetracked so that you look at your own performance. Eventually, if you are honest, you will admit you are not measuring up. What then? You'll give up Christ because you have been poisoned to believe that you must be over-comers (code for perfect law keepers). Since you are failing you'll assume God doesn't love you and you go back to the world and the devil. This will be the result of all who get hoodwinked into perfectionism.

You have freedom to call it as you see it and I will say this. My Bible tells me it is the overcomers that don't suffer the second death. Here is the scripture,

Re 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

Remember, He made it so we can have His power to be an overcomer!

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Romans 3:28 For we maintain that a person is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

Gal 3:18 For if the inheritance (heaven) depends on the law, then it no longer depends on a promise; but God in his grace gave it to Abraham through a promise.

Romans 4:2 If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about--but not before God. 3 What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness." 4 Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation. 5 However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.

Gal 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.....4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace (i.e., you are lost).

Acts 15:10 Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? 11 No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are."

Ac 15:11 But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Saved but not by continuing in sin, the "they" there were not we can know for sure. God don't tell it both ways, and we must put it together in a right way. We are not to wrest it around as we would have the way to be, it is His Way or else. Paul and none of the Apostles taught such as you would have us believe.

Hear this council,

"The reason why many walk apart from God is that they do not choose to do his words and keep his way. They do not follow the example and teachings of Christ. They misrepresent his character. Professing to be Christians, they lie against the truth. Jesus came from heaven to earth that he might, through association with humanity, by precept and example, reveal to men the character they must possess if they would be admitted to the family of heaven. He brought light and life, richness and fullness of good, that men might be partakers of his divine nature. He is the living vine, and every branch "in him" partakes of the life and fatness of the vine. The dry, leafless twig is grafted into the vine stock, and, fiber by fiber, vein by vein, becomes united to it. The adopted branch becomes one with the vine; it is nourished by the parent stock, and buds and blossoms and bears fruit. {ST, August 3, 1891 par. 5}

The sinner who comes to Christ in faith, is joined soul to soul with his Redeemer, united in holy bonds with Jesus. Then he has love and benevolence through his constant union with Christ. And through faith and experience he has confidence that Jesus not only will but does save him to the uttermost. This confidence brings to his soul an abiding trust, a peace, a joy, that passeth understanding. Christ is to him an all-sufficient Saviour; he clings to Christ, receiving of his Spirit, until he works as Christ worked, is compassionate as Christ was compassionate, having an unselfish love, giving disinterested service, not to a few who are most congenial, but to those who most need the help he can give. {ST, August 3, 1891 par. 6}

Saved but not by continuing in sin ....

The thief on the cross died in his sins. He never experienced "good works". He was saved by faith in Christ.

Have no fear Robert I have no desire to do anything to you. I merely would care to convince you and others we must be overcomers and not continue in sin.

If we will to continue in sin we have another master and that must not be.

Is scripture and the SOP heresy? That Word is the fountain and foundation of all wisdom and understanding. We can't pick and choose we must righty put it together.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

The thief on the cross was a sinner. He was saved by faith. Do not dare to pervert this with your doctrines from hell.

Christ didn't ask the thief if he believed in the Ten Commandments or if they could be kept. He didn't go over the 27 fundamentals beliefs before announcing to him that he was saved and would be in heaven.....

Have no fear Robert I have no desire to do anything to you.

I have no fear of you are anyone....Why? I have assurance based on what Christ did 2000 years ago. In Him I stand perfect now and in the judgment. So if I die I have confidence, not based on my performance, but what He did in my humanity 2000 years ago. "In Him I am complete"!
