Matthew 28:1-4 KJV. [Not NKJV] Hebrews 4:4,8-10 Colossians 2:12-19 Ephesians 1:19 “and God from all his works … which He worked by the exceeding greatness of his power … RESTED … IN THE SON” and “the day the Seventh Day REVIVED” Exodus 31:17.

Okay, thanks for finally clarifying. So you believe that Jesus rose on Sabbath, or Saturday, the Seventh-Day---just like Samie. So you're in his boat--not sure why you two are arguing.

Matthew 28:1-4 cannot be interpreted to mean that the Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to the Sepulchre on the Sabbath as it was coming to a close.

"In the END of the Sabbath"--this means after the Sabbath is over

"as it began to DAWN toward the first day of the week" -- meaning, the Sunday began the night before, but this is very early Sunday morning, as the word "dawn" means the approaching of the rising of the sun. The Greek word for "dawn" in the KJV is "Epiphosko" (Strong's #:2020) , and it means in "to grow light, to dawn".

Therefore, when the NKJV states: "Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.---it's simply clarifying the KJV, not altering it. The KJV is based on old English, and therefore, more difficult to understand. But the Greek supports it.

Hebrews 4:4,8-10 -- Verse 4 says he "rested"--not began work. Verses 8-10 says nothing about resurrecting on the seventh-day, it says He rested.

Col. 2:12-19 and Eph. 1:19 says nothing about resurrecting on the seventh-day.

Exodus 31:17 -- you pick translations when it suits you I see. Revived? It says "refreshed". "Naphash" means "to take breath, refresh oneself". The point being is...God's resting on the Sabbath is what "refreshed Him"---not that he was "revived" on the Sabbath. That expression doesn't do the point justice.

Luke 23:56; 24:1,3 confirm and explain Matthew's account in more detail, unequivocally, that the women appeared on the "first day of the week", "very early in the morning". Now since it was already "dawning" (meaning, the sun was just coming out--which that happens around 6 or so, this wold mean that Jesus could have easily rose up around 4:00am easily--and that is "Sunday". Sunday. Sunday. Sunday. Sunday. :)

As John317 has already established, unequivocally from the Greek, that the Greek expression for "sabbatou" was often also another word for "week".

So you cannot believe with "all your strength" this false belief. Why?

Well, very simple Gerhard.

You are WRONG! :)

And when Jesus comes in the clouds, and everything is settled, you will see that the traditional, SDA historic interpretation, and our pioneers, were right on this matter.

I can't wait to tell those who were always trying to be "different", and start up "rebellious streaks" in their theology that, "we told you so!" :)

Signs of stubbornness will be squelched. =]

Your false belief, Gerhard, is that you believe Jesus rose on the Sabbath. That is impossible if Jesus rose the THIRD day. Even you admitted that the "three days and three nights" began Thursday evening. That would make Sunday the "third day", not Saturday.

Quote:
The Father and the Son rested after Their work of Creation. "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made. . . . And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested." Genesis 2:1-3. The death of Christ was designed to be at the very time in which it took place. It was in God's plan that the work which Christ had engaged to do should be completed on a Friday, and that on the Sabbath He should rest in the tomb, even as the Father and Son had rested after completing Their creative work. The hour of Christ's apparent defeat was the hour of His victory. The great plan, devised before the foundations of the earth were laid, was successfully carried out.--Ms 25, 1898, pp. 3, 4. ("The Man of Sorrows," typed, February 24, 1898.)

Quote:
Protestants now urge that the resurrection of Christ on Sunday made it the Christian Sabbath. But Scripture evidence is lacking. No such honor was given to the day by Christ or His apostles. The observance of Sunday as a Christian institution had its origin in that "mystery of lawlessness" (2 Thessalonians 2:7, R.V.) which, even in Paul's day, had begun its work. Where and when did the Lord adopt this child of the papacy? What valid reason can be given for a change which the Scriptures do not sanction? {GC 54.1}

It is thus clear, as delineated in the Spirit of Prophecy.

You may claim you are "relying on the scriptures" above Ellen White, but keep in mind that you are depending on your own human interpretation of the Scriptures in question for which many disagree with you on.

This is why when it comes to such debatable subjects concerning the meaning of Scriptures, we are far better off relying on the Spirit of Prophecy to guide us in our understanding of those scriptures in question than to rely on our limited human comprehension of them.

>>You are arguing with yourself. Why?<<

No argument Gerhard. That was my first post to the thread and as such, a flat-out and correct statement – for the wise.

>>Speaking for myself, I believe the grave was closed the time of day Luke tells. Have you read when it was in my posts, NO! you have NOT!

I believe "That Day" was the day which Mark defines through circumscription. Have you read in my posts which day it was? NO! You have NOT!<<

Good grief, we, you and I, went through this matter before – and I run into your argumentations all over the forums.

I made no point as to when Jesus Christ was laid in the tomb. I pointed out when He could not have been laid in the tomb – and most specifically, when He resurrected.

>>But railing against whosoever, you must because it seems to be in your nature to argue just to argue but never to come to a better knowledge of Christ.<<

Consider “Oy vay!” or Biblical knowledge railing if you will; however, it may behoove you to reread your own posts to this thread.

Knowing is the knowledge of Jesus Christ – with the correct knowing of the circumstances of His crucifixion, burial, and resurrection speaking to the very point of the veracity of Him and to that extent – knowledge of Him.

You present interpretations which are worthy of note themselves – but you might wanna drop your ‘huff-and-puff-and-blow-your-house-down’ a notch.

I cannot take my own advice as it is second nature to me now, like breathing out and breathing in… :)

"In the END of the Sabbath"--this means after the Sabbath is over<<

How is it that you arrive at the surmise that “end” signifies ‘after’? Three times opse is used in Writ with it twice being interpreted “even (evening)”. Why ought one think that its third use must signify the darkest hours of our Saturday night – 4AM? It leaves the impression of a thing of the Prince of Darkness.

No, Jesus Christ arose while it was light.

>>"as it began to DAWN toward the first day of the week" -- meaning, the Sunday began the night before, but this is very early Sunday morning, as the word "dawn" means the approaching of the rising of the sun. Remember that the Pasch was during the time of the full moon and ‘to dawn’ equally applied to that full moon.

Whereas, copyright laws support this interpretation, interpretation of the Greek re Matthew 28:1 does not support “after the Sabbath”. Its greatest leniency may be ‘late’ Sabbath, as the ‘end’ of the Sabbath(s) could be taken to mean a matter of hours...

That said, “in the end” means “in the end” - clarification would be, “as it began to dawn towards…”

The above quote of conversation is a wonderful example of the confusion that ensues when men attempt to "inclusively recon" time specific prophecy instead of letting true recorded Scripture (Words Jesus actually spoke) interpret the confusion of the testimony of man as it's recorded in the bible. The Scriptures of true prophecy will be a light to the confusion of the diversity of Human speculation and lie. Lysimachus and Gerhard have discord because of the lie. Both are built on the bible. What is the source of their discord?

wednesday-VS-friday.png

The 4 bible gospels as seen below can be applied to either time line on the above chart. Only one time line out of the two illustrated above represents in accordence with the truth of Prophecy how Jesus fulfiled 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth. The time line that does not fall short or need inclusive reconning to defend it will be the truth concerning the event.

Anylizing-bible-Gospels.png

When the 4 bible gospels are combined in the correct Chronological order, Truth can be see that exposes the lie of tradition.

If there is any Christian at this site still telling themselves the bible is not capable of inspiring a Christian to tell a lie should they quote from the pages of the bible; They simply need to read and answer the questions found at this next link which puts to the test just two OT bible verses as they are currently translated today. Will they lead to a perception of truth or will they cause you to tell a lie? Let me know how you do on answering the questions. The truth will be obvious when you get to the end!

...Christ had to die on Passover of 31 A.D.

...So says Ellen White, Incarnation of Elijah & George Storrs.

It is said that Word of God/Truth is a light to the world. Only the truth can explain why a plethora of ancient texts found outside the bible illustrate Jesus fulfilling 3 days and 3 nights where Christian testimony falls short.

In this next example chart it can be seen that the gospel of Nicodemus testifies of two preparation days occuring during the time that Jesus was crucified and the time that Jesus arose from the tomb.

Nicodemus-testifies-of-3-days-and-3-nigh

If Jesus did not fulfill 3 days and 3 nights as illustrated by current Christian traditions, Ancient works such as Gospel of Nicodemus and G-12 text, testifying of two preparation days and two sabbaths would not exists. Two bible gospels do testify of two Sabbaths with a preparation day between them, but due to the 4 bible gospeles having facts left out of each testimony to make a single complete testimony, it's difficult to see unless you know the truth that Jesus fulfilled what he spoke!

There is also the case of the second century Bishop who claims Jesus was taken captive on a Tuesday night but then drags out the time line of events in an attempt to portray Jesus crucified on a Friday.

Though Rome went to great lengths to destroy anything that went contrary to their Friday cucifixion theory in the history of the early church, they missed testimony that still have portions of truth that allow the truth to be re-constructed from the ancient historical record.

There is no ancient work that should be branded as heresey. Man simply needs word of God from God to see the truth from the lies found in all the ancient christian record. There is a reason God said not to uproot the tares lest you uproot the wheat with it. By ignoring the past of our Christian forefathers, we simply remain in darkness if lies they received as truth are adopted by us as truth when in reality they are lies.

Christians claim the bible gospels never became corrupted by the Roman church yet the below ancient historical evidence exposes this speculation to be a lie. See below.

In-three-days-or-after-three-days-2.png

Some have Questioned why I would use the G-12 text as a legitimate ancient Christian record when the source document no longer exists. This is a good question which requires a good answer! Christian men hoping their speculation that the 4 bible gospels never received corruption from Rome speculate the lie that the G-12 text was a recent forgery in 1877 by a Catholic Man named Ousely. If this speculation were true, then information such as this next illustration would not be possible!

G-12-Ancient.png

What you have just witnessed is a FACT that the G-12 text is a legitimate part of the early Christian Church. What is found in the G-12 text that Rome did not want you to see? You will have to read it to find out!

Complete copy of G-12 text

Facts about the G-12 text:

1. It's the only Verifiable ancient record that illustrates Jesus came according to the flesh in comparison to Matthew which Claims Jesus did not come according to the flesh.

2. 96 Chapters of continuous information.

3. Only ancient text that can be used to illustrate Jesus was chosen by the people on the tenth day, killed 4 days later and spent 3 days and 3 nights in the heart of the earth!

4. It is not a perfect Gospel just as the 4 bible gospels are not perfect, so it is just as credible as any other ancient Christian text, cannon or non cannon!

5. The G-12 text is factual evidence that the Christian record suffered manipulation by the Roman Church. Those claiming the 4 bible gospels suffered no corruption have to claim the G-12 text does not exist. It factually does exist and it contains science fact in places where the bible gospels present factual lie.

What you do with this information is up to the reader. You can test it if you like, but in the end what matters is do you love God above all, Do you love your neighbor and do you love yourself. If yes. Keep the law of God!

Word of God is not a letter. The letter attempts to record word of God. Below are two letters illustrating in written form word of God that applies to every Christian existing today!

Todd, I wouldn't be a believer in Ellen White....

...& also I would agree with your premise that the Canon of Scripture.

...Is 100% a Catholic Book that was vetted by the Catholic Church.

...Thus G-12 according to the Catholic Church wasn't Sacred Scripture.

...Is 100% a Catholic Book that was vetted by the Catholic Church.

...Thus G-12 according to the Catholic Church wasn't Sacred Scripture.

What is unknown to most Catholics today as well as Christians in general, is that the G-12 text was a doctrine of the Catholic church for much of the first 150 years of the roman church. This is clearly evident by the last chapters listing the Orders of the kingdom as well as other portions of text which have latin specific words. These chapters present the earliest written doctrine of many Catholic traditions still held today. Traditions which originated in the Roman church not in the churches of the way.

What is also unknown to the Christian world, but will be known by those who test the document against the bible gospels as well as the time specific laws Jesus claimed to fulfill, is that the G-12 text is the source document of the 4 bible gospels.

In the G-12 text chapter on Jesus driving out the money changers, there is a two verse false day transition that was written into the text in an attempt to make the G-12 text illustrate Jesus dying on a Friday. This two verse false day transition can now be found broken up between two bible gospels. This is clear factual evidence that the G-12 text predates at a minimum those two gospels.

You have to see this!

There are many more examples such as this which can be illustrated. I leave it up to the spirit of truth to show these things to those who wish to seek the truth!

For those who believe they have found the truth from Catholic Doctrine and catholic tradition and have yet to hear god's voice when they talk to God, are simply decieved to believe in God in less than in spirit and in truth.

For the Seventh day Adventist in this thread. The 4th commandment is not the only commandment you are to fulfil. There are ten! Figure out what from the doctrines and traditions of men are causing you to stumble and you might have a chance to keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.

Having the testimony of Jesus is so much better than simply reading about the men of the past who did!

Blessings.

Todd, your format is out of bounds here and for most monitors.

Don't you believe we have a God who is able to keep His Word?

Well for sure brother we do and we do have a pure version of His Word.

1Jo 4:4 ¶ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

My point is that We do have a God who keeps his word. Why do Christians and members of this forum claim that God does not keep his word? I know Jesus said 3 days and 3 nights, yet members of this thread say no.. they claim their version of inclusive reconning which falls short of 3 days and 3 nights is the truth over God's word which Jesus spoke! More over because Christianity as a whole presents so many various versions of the fulfilment of 3 days and 3 nights, they simply make God and true word of God (spirit of truth/not the book) look like a liar. The NT gospels do a good job by themselves making themselves look like a liar and only adding to the condemnation for those who claim lies mixed with truth to be truth from God.

God's word is truth delivered via the spirit of truth, it needs no protection and contains no lie. This was and is the gospel of Jesus. That truth goto the world after the spirit.

The verse you quote implies that God can be in you. This cannot happen if the temple (Your body) is not cleansed via repentance. Do you repent by continuing in sin or by identifying that which causes you to stumble and resist sin.

There is a reason Jesus went into the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights before his baptism of spirit. It was to resist sin and to cut himself off from the world so that he could become the firstborn from the dead and show others that this can be done!

You stated you have a pure version of HIS word? What is the name of that Version? I'm curious. Is it the spirit of truth or Book titled holy bible? I have found no error in the spirit of truth, but i have found many Errors in the Holy bible. Name a version and I'll share with you facts concerning my claim!

Remember, Facts are truth and God is the source of truth! I do notice that most Christians fear facts that make their God look like a liar but this will be the case if man makes a book their Word of God instead of receiving word of God from God!

I understand Catholic Theology very well and I also understand most of it is built on paganism and lie. Paul was the founder of Christianity deceived by lucifer claiming to be an angel of light on the road to damascus. Remember, Jesus acended to heaven not to return to the earth until the second comming yet paul claims he met Jesus when he was blinded!

There are words of truth recorded in the proverbs that clearly states that discord is the end result of a lie and that souls are not delivered by a lie! Word of God as it is accurately recorded in the proverbs calls Paul a Heretic, not I. History is what it is even if the majority of your bible NT was written by Paul. You have to ask, is it truely scripture or did man falsely claim that it is.

Proverbs 14:25 A true witnesses delivers souls, But a deceitful witness speaks lies.

Proverbs 6:19 A false witnesses who speaks lies, is one who sows discord among brethren.

dis·cord: (d s kôrd ) n.. 1. a. Lack of agreement among persons, groups, or things. b. Tension or strife resulting from a lack of agreement; dissension.

There is a reason that Paul had discord with the Apostles who received the spirit of God on the day of Pentacost, and that reason could not be spelled out for you any more clear. If you don't believe Paul a Heretic, Then you don't believe word of God!

I know the Catholics don't believe the word of God. They actually attempt to change the Law Jesus claimed to fulfil and have made numorous efferts though out their history to hide the ancient recordings that expose their deceptions which many Christians hold to be truth! Most other Christians don't attempt to change the Law as Catholics do, they just teach that it cannot be fulfilled in man. Yet this was the gospel of Jesus. That the law could be fulfilled in man and Jesus was the firstborn from the dead at his baptism to be a living example of this fact for others to follow!

Paul was a man who killed the members of the Way. Satan simply changed the manner in which Paul would kill by having Pual embark on a misinformation campain to hide truth and bring about the spiritual famine that Agabus prophecied upon meeting the Christians of antioch.

Jesus also prophecied famine would occur, and Rome kept it out of your gospels. See highlighted blue testimony below.

mixed-tesimony1.png

In short, the souls of man are born over and over according to the flesh in accordence with the word of god, half complete due to sin. Spiritual re-birth through true repentance makes the soul complete and actualy living as it was prior to Sin in the Garden and sin in heaven. Just because a soul is in a body and can breath and move around does not mean that the soul has yet to begin to truely live.

Any soul existing on the earth at this time that does not have the Christ within is currently of the spirit of Anti-christ (lacking the Christ/annointing spirit of God). As a Christian denomination, the daughters of Rome can claim the pope to be anti-christ, while not realizing they to are of her spirit and bound to her doctrine of paper because they are lacking the spirit of perfect truth!

Christians use the recordings of men to judge one another instead of using the Law to judge themselves to see if they have yet fulfilled the law. Thus it has been in the Christian world since Christians have first called themselves Christian.

Blessings!

Well Todd, I was fairly certain you would say something similar to what you just did....

...The only thing I would say is that where you ended up theologically is the natural end result.

...Of Adventist theology.

If one applies the teachings of Ellen White within the context of the theology she affirmed prior to her death....

...What you believe NOW is the natural evolution of Adventist teachings.

...Of course you are WRONG.

Interesting how someone not even SDA can pick out a Traditionalist Adventist so quickly!

You are half correct! I started out Catholic, Then went through many denominations of Christianity. Adventism being the last christian denomination to attempt to corrupt me. Adventism simply drove me to be an athiest due to my high standards for truth which inspired questions which left Christians of all denominaitons speculating lies to answer.

6 years ago I set out to prove or disprove God to save my family of 14 members from the animosity of christian denominational division which is basically hell on earth if you have had the pleasture to experience it on such a large scale in your family.

In setting out to search for truth, I found truth (GOD). God is not in a book. Nor is God in the ancient writings of men. We are in God, but separated from God due to sin. It's not until a man truely repent, that they will know GOD! Many Christians read about God and know of him, but with out repentance in truth (the Law) they will only know of God having never known God.

If I am Wrong, Please illustrate where I do not speak according to the Law (truth) and Prophecy.

Last time i Checked. Adventists value the writings of Paul as though they are scripture even though Paul was in discord with the men who KNEW Jesus as a son of God and also became sons of God themselves.

You can claim falsely all day that I am wrong and in your mind this will be true to you since Christianity teaches that truth is simply a matter of human perception, but until you are factually correct and posses the spirit of truth within you, your brand of truth will be no more truth than a chrstian who differs from you.

What was once good about adventists is that at one time in their early history, they searched for truth, they stopped short before they found it. They are much like that of the Catholic Church they claim falsely to be separated from. There are only wheat or tares in this field called earth. If not connected to God and bareing truth according to God from God, then a tare is what results. It looks like the wheat in every way exept it does not bare good fruit. It does not matter what denominational name it takes for its self.

To Stay on topic for this thread. a Recap of the facts is in order. Christianity being divided on the topic of the death and resurrection make God look like a liar who does not fulfil the perfect words of prophecy that he spoke conerning his death and resurrection.

The top half of this page represents the many lies presented by the Christian world. The lower half of the page represents the truth in duration of time that Jesus fulfilled.

wednesday-VS-friday.png

When bible testimony is put into the correct Chronological order for the correct duration of time Jesus spent in the tomb, 3 days and 3 nights can be clearly seen.

Anylizing-bible-Gospels-3.png

The prophetic supporting evidence that Jesus was Crucified on a Wednesday preparation day VS the Christian Friday Crucifixion lie is as Follows:

If you would like a re-cap on the issues with the 31 AD Friday Crucifixion concept. Just ask. I'll share the facts that expose the concept to be a lie... or just read the many diversified speculations previously presented in this thread that fall short of Word of God being fulfilled.

Could the "Word of God" be that complicated ... like post #577995 above?

Would God expect from anyone to be able to cope with something like the above in order to understand?

While you claim the "Word of God" --- I do not say that the above is or is not the Word of God --- give us tha Word of God THE SCRIPTURES ONLY that will make clear the sequence of the "three days" during Jesus' last passover, please?

The Word of God is quite simple. Fulfill the law, this is mans all.

Jesus said 3 days and 3 nights, it does not get more simple than this if you know that Scripture (testimony of God) states an evening and a morning make a day. Jesus claiming to fulfill the prophecies/scriptures concerning him needs no inclusive reconning from man falling short of his truth to explain how 3 days and 3 nights was fulfilled. Only the truth need be shared. Sadly the truth is not being shared by Christians. Half truths mixed with lies is what the Christians offer the world.

If i told you the Word of God in simple truth that Jesus was Crucified on a Wednesday preparation day and offered no evidence to back up the truth, then you would not belive the truth, because you have already received a lie which you belive is truth. I share the truth in detail freely so that you will know of the truth. What you do with the truth is up to you.

Christians say no to the truth with their traditions. Christians say it was less than 3 days and 3 nights according to various versions of inclusive reconning which are not truths.

The ammount of detail given in my prior post is simply to expose the vast deceptions put in place by Christian denominations that Satan has put in place to cause men to think that word of God is not perfect and that a book having truth mixed with lies in concert with their speculations is truth from God.

Take the information for what it is worth. Truth! Seek repentance by fulfillinig the law and you will know truth! If currently Decieved to believe in God in less than in spirit and in truth as is the case with the Christian world; the choice concerning what to do with this information is up to the individual who finds that they have been lied to.

My purpose is to cover this topic from every possible angle illustrating the truth with out speculation in comparison to the lie, to identify that word of God is in fact perfect when defined as the spirit of truth from God, not a book.

I shared alot of information in my prior post, If there is any portion of what I shared that is not a truth, please share with more than opinion, the solid truth that exposes my alleged lie with the members of this thread and me. A lie will always be exposed by the truth and the truth can be proven as Fact.

393 words, not one ‘Scripture’!

It’s impossible to “cover this topic from every possible angle illustrating the truth with out speculation” like you do. You must be a genius.

---while you made it copy-proof with a computer mouse ... people like me are very ordinary, you know; we do not have photographic brains like you to make photo-copies at a glance of what you wrote.

If the words shared with you are truth, what then are they if not scripture if God is the source of truth? Christians believe falsely that the book is the only source for truth and in beliveing this make the book their God instead of God.

Do men who keep the Commandments to have the testimony of Jesus in need of quoting from a book to speak truth? If my reply to you was not truth, please share what I typed in my last post that was not truth.

If you are not certain how to post pictures or links, Ask God how to do this. If you are of the truth you will HEAR GOD's voice and God can instruct you! It is recorded that those of the truth HEAR his voice. Do you?

Mark 8:31

(31) And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.

The three days include His sufferings and resurrection not just His death so therefore the three days start the time He was taken so we have:-

Thursday Night

Friday Night

Saturday Night

Friday

Saturday

Sunday

Galatians 3:29

(29) And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

I see you attempt to inclusively recon the sunday day time period. Please let me know If I accurately portray your perception on the time line below and if you would, Please share with me how Jesus was either in captivity, suffering, or in the tomb during the day time period of the first day of the week. So far i have found nothing from the ancient historical record to show your version of events to be truth over the Christian who differs from you. Fact, at this time your version falls short of 3 days and 3 nights based on the explination you give even though you try to claim Sunday day time period in your version of inclusive reconning!
