If some lies are harmless then why did "the Lord" go out of His way to correct Sarah?

Did I say that? Then I take it back! And if the woman hadn't born false witness, both she and the hidden Jews, some 10 or 20 souls would probably have died, either immediately or over a period of months in slave labor in concentration camps.

Sitting in my living room watching TV, it's easy to say I would have told the truth expecting God to reward my faithfulness by some unusual deliverance. Be that as it may, if we don't prepare our minds to rely and yield to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, when the test does come we won't be ready to accept the challenge, whatever it might be.

Some women use this type of excuse to justify dancing in a strip joint.  They say "I have to feed my kid(s)".....So stripping is good because it puts food in a little one's stomach.   

 

The tobacco farmer says, "I have to feed my family"...so producing and selling tobacco is good!

Jesus as the son of man was only an infant Himself.  The question is, what did God do?  Did He intervene like Corrie?

 

No....God did not intervene.

Then is God to blame?

 

Well, if God had not created Lucifer then none of this would have happened, right?

 

Keep in mind God is omniscient....He knew Lucifer would rebel against His agape love.  

 

Then why did God create Lucifer? The Bible doesn't answer directly....

 

Since bad things have happened because of God's creation of Lucifer shall we conclude then that God is bad and Corrie righteous?

From your own acknowledgement, revealing that recognition of the commandment is, "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor" ,  which would not be the case in the effort to protect the neighbor or whoever needed the favor. Practicing lying for ones own interests reveals a need for a heart transplant.

I gave you the link to a website.  I wouldn't say I fully acknowledge what was stated there.  I still wonder if Christ would lie to save a life?  Many have died under God's supervision.*  So the answer is probably not.

I gave you the link to a website.  I wouldn't say I fully acknowledge what was stated there.  I still wonder if Christ would lie to save a life?  Many have died under God's supervision.*  So the answer is probably not.

To tell you the truth, to me it's a definite He wouldn't. However, there is no doubt His options for success in order to protect His chosen were seen the most clearly at the cross, where He chose the tortuous death rather than relinquish one life that might be saved in His Kingdom. And the apostle Peter revealed his recognition he fell so short of fulfilling the Divine image in his conduct, by refusing to be crucified heads up as His Lord was.

 

When we are able to follow the example you have correctly given above, then we perhaps have the freedom to tell another how far they should go in exemplifying the life of Christ.

Knowing my background and failures, not unwilling to bear witness that God has worked victories worthy of note in me, to His glory, I am unwilling to say the above is the course Jesus asks of you or anyone else, other than placing their lives in His hands to follow what the Holy Spirit prompts them to do.
