We could require each new member to read and agree with it. I think there would be far less fighting if we took this to heart. The call sin by it's right name is no more offensive than the pretenders to the throne of righteousness. The adventist community by and large is a very small one. With the internet it has become even smaller. There have been attacks now and in the past. Most all seem to move their lips to the song of what their satisfaction may be. While it may hurt some, ( oh well we will treat them with kindness and they will forget) that is what adventists do in large to anyone who says, this hurt. The deeper the hurt the less someone wants to come to the adventist religion. When it is seen being done over and over and over again, the less some want to attend as they see it happening all the time. It is like a bunch of children. When a child does some hitting out of the parents sight, when asked the child will most always say "I don't know, I didn't do it" or anything along those lines. Same as what is going on here. No one seems to want to take responsibility for what they say. No one can seem to remember or the other has taken it completely out of context. Now, what is that [censored] all about? Why can't anyone just say ya, it was me, I did it. I am sorry it hurt your feelings and I will try not to do it again. Then HONESTLY mean it! I have tried to find a church in this area and all the ones that I go to (there are many) everyone is busy talking about the clothes they are wearing and how much they cost or they are talking about what that person did or another person did. Can you believe what they are doing or what they said or did? That's all I heard. I can go to the streets of Oregon/Washington run into a store and find that same type of thing. Why in the world would I need to go to a church while I sit and listen to someone telling me about God and all He can do for me while people in the PEWS are sitting around whispering (not quietly) about all of this? All the secular things going on in the world. I thought church was for learning about God. Not what is going on in the world. I haven't found a church yet that doesn't do this, and I've been to quite a few lately. Then I come here, where no one fesses up to an attack. Instead they make light of it. No hurt no foul? Is that what it is? I'll tell you something. I am definitely learning a LOT about what adVENTists are all about. I believe in God. I worship God. I live my life according to what God asks us to do. What I do NOT do is sit there pretend nothing is going on and let the attack of others happen without doing anything about it. While I do not have a pedastool but a chair that I sit on while typing this, I tend to believe that when a wrong is done it should be righted. A sin by any other name is still a sin! No matter what ANYONE calls it! Why can't anyone call a sin a sin? My mom always used to tell us ..... two wrongs don't make a right; but neither does a wrong and a turn the other cheek attitude. Love one another means just that. What it does not mean is love one another even if they have beaten the wholly [censored] out of you and turn the other cheek so they can do it again. Where is the love in that? Can anyone tell me that? Why should you or I or anyone love being beaten up or attacked or verbally abused so that it can happen all over again and again? Pretending to be something you aren't is not right. If you abuse or attack someone just for the fun of it, then just freakin say so! I like it when people are straight up front and tell it like it is. Anyone else who does not do that is just lip syncing and not really being themselves. Or; maybe they are.
